You could always finish the baking over a campfire, if you lose power.

Hey Barbe -I found something that should make you feel better -I was looking for a Trophy Wife" joke online and I found this definition on a site (and it was posted by a man)

The question was  -"What is a Trophy Wife"

    Answer.....

a wife who is simply carried around... like a trophy. shes really nothing special, mostly just a hot face and body and typically nothing beyond that. if a man is seeking a trophy wife it usually means hes an ass looking to show off that he could get the best one...the super hot model or the barbie look alike. a trophy wife is exactly that: a trophy. objectified. vain. nothing to be desired.

1Cathi ~ I agree with the trophy wife post!  Barbe deserved better than her ex - that is why she found her new DH!  :)

Barbe ~ Sending you gentle hugs and hope your surgery goes well today.  Hopefully you will post to give us an update.  p.s.  If you are needing a posse to go to Punta Cana with you to bitch slap the trophy wife, I am sure we can make ourselves attend DD's wedding!  :)  Did you ever find shoes for your amazing dress?

Oops forgot to mention that yesterday I did five loads of laundry, straightened up house, cooked dinner and had it done and simmering all before 4:00pm!  Today taking it easy, I am sore from doing too much yesterday.

    Hi, ladies!!

Cathi, your little ones are just too adorable!

Linda, anytime you get the cleaning bug again, come on down to RI and I'd gladly let you 'bug' my house.

Barbe, thinking of you today.  And remember, the b*tch posse is always available on a certain other thread you and I visit to take care of any and all trophy wives of ex'es.  Plus, it's spring, so we'll all have our garden tool weapons shined up and ready.

Mom and Sharon, I definitely have my PhD in computers-that-never-break.

Mary, you take it easy, girl.  Just sitting up and taking nourishment is a major accomplishment after surgery!

Kathi  Don't worry, I squashed that bug yesterday.  It's gone....forever!!  Today I planted 5 rose bushes.  What a BEAUTIFUL day!

Cathi - be safe.  Whatever you are baking, I'll have some!

twonew1's - something was in the air yesterday.  I'm over and and hope you are too.

Sharon, love the signs, my laptop was broken last week and thing actually got done around the house!

Gotta get back outside.  See you soon!

Listen, I may just be losing yet another part of my mind, but did Linda and mom say nice things about my website somewhere?  I have this misty memory of reading some kind words, and mom saying something about how I might have fun photographing the wonderful Kentucky landscape where you live, but now I can't find the post.  But I also have that amazing ability to look right at something and not see it.

Anyway, if you two did say nice things about the blog and the photos, thank you!!  It really helps me keep doing it to know someone appreciates it.  And if you didn't, well, heck, it's nice to think you might have.

I need another coffee break.  I'm having a major attack of cancer brain today.....

Barbe.......... we're gonna send out a posse pretty soon.

Send up a signal flare of some sort. A homing pigeon. A smoke signal.

KAK, I just tracked down your website(s)/blog(s) and think that we're probably pretty kindred spirits beyond our very freakishly similar dx and current 'wondering' status.

Hope that you're able to juggle all with your work. What talent!!

    Speaking of broken computer.

Has anyone had their laptop begin layers and layers of internet express windows falling over each other and not stopping?

This happened last night and I finally shut this thing off as best as I could.

Then today just now I turned on my laptop and my screen saver is here but NO icons or task bar.

I left it on about a half hour and up at the top a little tiny icon appeared so that I could log on.

So I can email, check in here, do some business, but NO task bar or icons.  I went to Windows help in google and it's all greek to me.  I am impatient with that info so if anyone has any idea of help I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

Also.  Someone is going to Crete?   I really want to adventure there.  Please when you return share your adventure.

Ok. Hello.  Also Kathi ~ great site.  Kudos!

Linda*  Blueberries do have the little sunshiney buds today.

Back outside.  We are cutting out very old shrub plants that need replacing with something different.  It's really windy here today but nice.

Thank you in advance for any computer and missing desk top ideas.

sahalie...if you can get to your start icon then go to accessories and then to system tools and go to system restore.  It will give you an opportunity to restore to the day before yesterday when your system was working.  This happaned to me once and that's what I did.  Hope it helps!

Oh Sahalie, wish I could help you with your computer woes.  All I can offer is a few choice cuss words.  I call our neighbour for help when I get to the "OMG, now what do I do?" stage.

However, when you get it fixed that's a whole lot of "banked housework" chores.

    BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRBE?

Arnie and Sharon.  Thank you !

Arnie.  All icons are missing in action.  It's a miracle the little internet thing came up on top to let me get online.

I think the computer beejee's are playing games with me.  If and when the START icon reappears I will do just as you suggest.

Do you think I'm in standby mode?   And what made all those Explorer windows go wild?  I was in the middle of sending orders out when all of them began cascading upon each other.

I have a relative who is a computer wizard so have an email sent off to her.

I'm here on a hope and prayer so we shall see what happens.  The reason I think this lap top must be in Stand by mode is that I can still get online and my screensaver is here.

I guess I should ignore this laptop and do some "house work" then maybe it would all reappear again.

    :  )

    You know it.

I just got instructions from my family wizard of the world wide web via speedy email so will go do as told and hope it works.

I have to log out and go do the medicals on this thing.  Will this count towards housework?

    Wish me luck.

PS.  I like that little blue wizard.

    Sahalie

No blueberry plants at the store today.  Got roses and planted them.

I have also has tons of windows open up one right after the other.  When that happens DH says is some kind of bug and for me to disconnect from the network asap.  Each time I do that it stops and everything is fine after.  Make sure you have decent spyware etc.  BTW - I like Sharons Ideas too.  Cuss words can make you feel better.  Just don't tell Mom, she may make me write "I will not cuss".

I'm baaaaaaaack!!  Did ya miss me?  That darn paying job is taking up more and more of my free time. UGH!!  You will all be happy to hear that my house is clean clean clean!!! And... my mother is HAPPY!!  She is a cleaning freak. She has scrubbed it from top to bottom at least twice. She has rearranged the linen closet. She has done baseboards and stairs....you name it.. it's been cleaned. I think that gives me enough in the bank for at least a week...maybe two.

Sahalie...sounds like you need some computer help. Have you run your antivirus?? have you looked for malicious software? That is what it sounds like to me.

Barbe....I hope you are doing well...and your incision revision turns out perfect. Have you all seen the movie The Wedding Crashers?? Let's all go to Punta Cana and crash the wedding!!!  Does your ex have an itty bitty pp? Is that what he's trying to prove with the barbie? hehehe

Hope all is well and everyone's house is spotless!

It worked !  My relative wizard was right on.

It's easy so if anyone has a problem look for me and if it's the same deal I went thru with the icons and task bar running off into the where ever. . . I have the fix.

Thanks for all the helpful ideas.  I also just did a clean up and deleted all the temp files and cookies.   I do that everyday anyway.

Great suggestion for disconnect ASAP if those horried folders begin their dance across the window.

Makraz.   Bummer on no Blue Berry plants.  I hope they have them for you soon.

Try your small neighborhood nursery.  Sometimes they have the most wonderful unique selections of plants.

It's so windy here things are flying all over the place so of course I need to go get out in the middle of it for a moment.   My deck umbrella is about to take flight.

    XOXO.

Thanks, sahalie, and thanks again, Linda, for encouragement about the site.  The art is at www.KKsPhotos.com (don't have to type the cap's), and the blog is at www.AccidentalAmazon.com.

F&F, I'm going to look at your profile now.  Drop by the blog sometime.  Just visited your site!  How fun!!!!  Besides you have an adorable smile.

I organized some of my recycling today, ate a piece of Turtle Cheesecake, was having a good day, then got a call from the big city diagnostic imaging department confirming my diagnostic mamm on Friday, so I lost it for a while.   I have one piece of cheesecake left from what I bought on Friday, and then THAT'S IT for a while.  Swear to god, I think it went directly to my belly.

Linda, how come you got sun up there and we didn't?  No fair!
