I'm "home" safe and sound.
Thinking of you.

Dear Norm, Out of energy, But not enough to still let you know God loves you and so do I.
Everyday should be lived for the purpose for which God created us. Take care,Debbie

Hey (((((Norm))))). It's so nice to see you. One step at a time friend. We're all behind you helping to push you forward.
-
NORM!!! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I just woke up and it's almost noon here. Still in my bathrobe -- and may stay there until I go to church tonight. Why rush into things? That may be TMI (Toooooo much information. LOL>)
Just wanted you to know that I "go" like crazy and then I "stop" like crazy. It's an interesting way to balance one's life, but it seems to work for me.
My Alabama trip was really superlative in every way. Gracious hosts. Responsive participants.
Now I must get caught up on correspondence and paperwork that accumulates while I'm out and about...... never my favorite effort.
How does Easter strike you this year? I can only begin to imagine that every holiday is a reminder of just what an enormous loss you've suffered -- and how things will never, ever be the same again.
Having said that...... do you have a 'plan' for the weekend? Spend time with your kids and the grands?? Maybe volunteer in some sort of program?? Reach out?
I suppose I'm always wanting you to stay 'busy' in the midst of your pain -- and that may be the completely wrong approach.
Know that we are here for you..... just often at a loss as to how to be of any help.

Norm, I'm off to help at the Easter Egg hunt at church this morning.
Just wanted you to know that I'm starting my day with prayers for you.
Footie always says it so well.
We are a little cyber-family here, together, offering our encouragement.
We are with you.
We wish you well.
((((((((((((Norm)))))))))))))))))))
I know you had to be thrilled to see our PuppyLovey's post. Just seeing her pic pop up brings tears to my eyes. We are fortunate to have one another.
-
p.s. and of course we can always count on Sharon's love.
tee hee, i'm up and at 'em before she is this a.m.
that's a rarity for sure.

Morning (((((Norm)))))
Good grief, in my haste to beat Faith this morning I had to edit to correct my spelling.......and I'd only written 2 words.

-

You. Hugs, Debbie

Happy Easter (((((Norm))))). May you receive an unexpected kindness today.
-
Happy Easter Norm.
Happy Easter, indeed.
To me, today, this day, would be the reason that I could continue to keep putting one foot in front of the other -- were I ever to face such an enormous challenge.
I am a child of Easter.
I am a believer in hope.
I am a believer in another chapter.
Though it is beyond my grasp, our Savior left the tomb, rose and walked among us again.
Such a promise.
This concept of heaven.
Brenda and the children are whole and complete. Safe and sound. Ever watchful. Ever peaceful.
I think Brenda has gathered us here, together, to keep you company..... that we might offer you encouragement in the dark places. That we might offer our companionship -- telling you repeatedly that we are here for you and caring about your story.
I know that Brenda would want us to continue to prod you toward using your gifts to their greatest advantage, to take good care of yourself and to work here on your projects, as long as you are able. She is the kindest of women -- one who would care for another's children, giving them an opportunity at life, and therefore she would ask us to continue her kindness, by being kind to you.
It is so challenging to know how to reach out, Norm. So I babble on at times, always hopeful that I don't upset you, always wishing you the best.
Today I wish you butterfuly wings emerging from a dark spot, swooping softly into the air.
Today I wish you the emergence of a spring bulb, from the depth of darkness.
Today I wish you a glimmer of angels wings in the clouds overhead.
Today I wish you an Easter celebration. One of promise. One of hope. One of Thanksgiving.
Today I wish you wholeness, even in the midst of broken-ness.
We are all here for you.
I think that's what Brenda has asked of us: to keep you close. We do our best.
It is our offering to keep you close.... and so we do.

Norm. I've got to 'MAKE' myself do a very long list today. Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork.
Details. Details. Details.
I'll be wishing you well -- right in the midst of it all.
-
May God give you peace and comfort.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
You will revive me; You will stretch
out Your hand against the wrath
of my enemies, and Your right hand
will save me. Psalms 138:7
May Gods peace be with you, God loves you and so do I.
-
Good morning (((((Norm)))))
-
Hey Norm. Another rainy day here. What's that about April showers??? Oh, yeah, May flowers.
It should be a gorgous month, based on this rainfall over the last two days.
I did make some progress on my written list yesterday. There's still plenty more to focus on, but I can feel some forward movement.
Hope that you can make it a good day.

just a short note to say hello and thank you........
Hope you all had a great easter,Dez is a little to young for easter but Leah sure had a ball tracking down egg's,probably the first holiday I sorta enjoyed for awhile.....
Trying to figure out what to do,got a call from M.C.F.(provincial government foster-care)asking if I'd foster a 14yr.old who needs to be placed, kinda excited but apprehensive(?) at the same time........well,something to consider anyway.
You are 100% right Puppy, every day I come to this site,I feel the love and in a way close to Brenda and the kid's!!!!!But sometimes I feel it's best not to post how I'm feeling,I'm sooooo used to being in control of my life it's hard to come to the conclusion that we really don't have the final say.The only real conclusion I've come up with is I'm a surviver and maybe the childhood I had was for a reason.....
Hope everyone has a great week and please remember even though I don't post everyday,I'm here everyday, thankful for the GREAT FAMILY that has come together here and the support and love from ALL OF YOU!!!

Oh Norm. Gentle hugs. (((((((((((Norman)))))))))))))
Edit to say thankyou for your post. I can imagine it wasn't easy.
-
Dear Norm, It is so good to hear from you, God bless
you and help you to heal and get comfort from Him.
I was thinking of all the wonderful things God made to
help us to be thankful, A Friend like you is one!
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!
-
(((((Norm))))) Another day........some more steps.
-
Oh, NORM!!!!!!!! I'm working hard not to start crying onto my laptop.
You'll never know what you post above has meant to me..... I've had a wonky couple of days & seeing your report just warms my heart to the very bottom. I can just picture Leah with the eggs.
Yes, seeing the holidays thru their eyes is an enormous leap into the future.
You are a survivor.
We are a unique family.
What an amazing concept to be contacted about fostering another child -- adolescent no less.
WOW! Boggles my mind.
I will be eager to hear how you decide on that major decision.
We are not in charge. We are not in control. Such a challenging reality to be confronted with.
No doubt the sooner we integrate that truth, the sooner we can walk away from the suffering.
Thanks again, dear Norm.
I just knew our Puppy would coax you out into the light of day!
Big hugs to Footie & Sharon, too...... and anyone who might be reading along periodically.
