Oh, you girls!!!!! I am truly LOL! Oh, coonie, you especially...... "I see the tree!!" Oh, I LMAO!!
Sharon, I'm sorry to be joining in so late, but I'll take the afternoon shift and make the cocktails for us when we all tucker out.
Barbe, you look absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!! And so does your darling baby girl.
Here's what one of the gals (mzmiller) posted on another thread as a birthday/Easter greeting yesterday. So, I pass it on with a Happy Easter from me. (Okay, I'm clicking on the little tree now.....) I guess you'd call it a "peep show."
-
Kathi, a peep show! LOL (thanks for your feedback
)
I have NEVER heard of these peep things until yesterday when I saw your other post. Then today, driving to work, the radio had a peep eating contest going on. Well, duh, I would have had no idea what they were talking about if I hadn't seen your picture. Their's were green though....
-
Read up Sharon to the second post of mine from the bottom...........
Deb
-
Oh, thanks Deb. I'll have to go back and read that a few times. I'm not so good at following instructions. Appreciate it though.
-
Wow, I had no idea you cuties hadn't located THE tree till now. That's the only way I know how...... It's best if you can have two windows open at the same time, both BCO & Photobucket:
1. upload your photo @ Photobucket (it's a free account)
2. once your photo has been uploaded, while at Photobucket, click on the second choice of the four in the list: direct transfer
(it will turn a dark color...... sometimes my computer is wacko and I actually must hit Control & then letter "C" on my keyboard, even once it's darkened)
3. then come to BCO and open the thread that you intend to add to, get into the message box
4. click on THE tree (right beside the smily face) across the top of the choices
5. it will pop up a little window -- click in the first line (may need to hit Control & then letter "V") to paste it it.
6. in that pop up box -- on the second line you can adjust the "size" of the photo, attempt to keep the 'proportions' of the original numbers, but keep them less than 500 in either dimension.
Then hit the word "Insert" (In the pop up box).
The picture will now be in your message.
Here's our twin babeez on their own "grass" discovery, earlier this week.
Didn't need to hide any eggs for them, as they just loved the grass by itself!
Once the photo has been inserted, sized correctly, all that remains is to hit the SUBMIT button.

Too Cute Faith!!!!! Here I am boobless and Fifty + and I still can't get enough of those little ones. Not that my two don't keep me busy but I sooo would love going through that baby stage with another one or two. Hubby keeps saying just wait it won't be long till you get to be a grandma but that seems so far away right now. Maybe the easter bunny will bring me one this year
-
I finally see the tree too! Now if we can just figure out what all those all symbols mean! Who knew!
-
Faith, those babez are SO cute. The apple doesn't fall far from the "TREE". Hehehehe, get it?
-
Faith, thanks for the blow by blow account of how the whole picture thing works. I shall enjoy having a go when I come back from my holls.
Barbe,Sharon,Mum and Coonie, thank you very much for the huggs and sweet words. I managed to be productive most of the day, if somewhat slower.
Barbe,I too am totally sold on the earplugs! Am such a light sleeper and my man snores. I buy in BULK,the ones for wearing in noisy factory plants, in box of 200! In the day time, like today, the kids keep popping up to see me, so no point. BTW Barbe, you do look beautiful, like your daughter, what lovely skin, luminous x2!
Mum, I think the Queen is at highgrove (Scottland) so no luck on the tea, but DH just brought me a cuppa Rooibos tea so feeling the love.ahhh. Thanks for the thaught.
Makraz, glad you seemed to have survived the sleepover quite well.. however, I notice you haven't reported back since going "down to the play room" to sort that out! Hope you are not still there and that it was ok! Sounds like you'll be busy in the kitchen a lot!
Coonie, you do have me in stitches! I loved the "found the tree" revelation you had. hehehe. Enjoy your holiday and we can both catch up after (am off 14th/22). Enjoy the Boondocks? BTW, if you know anyone influential at Walmark who can make that happen(U.K Walmart), then ohhhh pls, make it so! Yes, you are right, that would so improve things all round!
Well, I have some cooking for tomorrow to get out of the way and choc cake to ice and decorate, then...the "hidding of the eggs" for the kids. whew.. I can't wait to hit my "visco elastic" mattress! God bless the person who invented that stuff!
AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
Bestest vibes on their way.

Ok shiny have to find an English english dictionary to understand your post
Need to know what Rooibos tea is and visco elastic mattress but will wait till you are feeling better to have you give me the lesson. The chocolate cake I understand though
can I have a piece while I sip my Rooibos and jump on my new visco mattress?

Faith - those are the cutest babies!! I'll take a girl, maybe 2. But rumor has it I will probably want to turn her in for a boy at about 12. I have a 13 yo old and I'm ready to turn him in. 10 year old is still cute.
I did survive the sleepover. I really hate those but the kids love them. Oh well, it's not about me! I wish I could hose out my basement. DH and I had the entire basement finish before we had kids. Real ceiling, carpeting, wall, we even built an office there too. It would have been much easier to leave it all concrete with a drain in the middle of the floor. Easy clean up and a central potty too!
I forget who asked about the calzones. WAY to much to read today. The wasy I make them, they are easy and everyone loves them. Being Italian, there are no measurements. sorry!
Buy pizza dough ( I used to make my own but who has the time)
The most popular one I make is pepperoni and cheese
Roll dough out to large rectangle. If you put olive oil on your work surface, the dough will stay where you roll it. It's a really good trick. Once rolled out, place dough on cookie sheet or foil that has been sprayed with Pam. Most times the retangle is larger than my cookie sheets.
Layer pepperoni on top of the dough.
Place shredded cheese on top of the pepperoni. A good amount.
Scramle an egg with milk and pour intop of the cheese.
Sprinkle with garlic salt. (You can added spices if you'd like)
Take tooth picks and close up the dough. Fold both sides into the middle and secure with a tooth pick. brush top of dough with any left over egg wash.
Bake at 350 til golden brown!!
Yummy!!
-
Ok Mum, you caught me!Still on the couch looking at recipies on the web, must get cracking but heartburn, ouch!
SO, Am reading it off the Rooibos pack: "Rooibos tea is naturally caffeine free and light making it very popular all over South Africa (and England). The subtle hint of spice produces a delicate and delicious cup of tea.". It is very nice.
Now, for the visco elastic mattress, well it's quite funny because it's that special heavy high tech foam (visco elastic foam mind) that every manufacturer reminds you "was developped for NASA" but in the end, they never used it! I don't mind though, cause it's sure worth it for me! I get quite a lot of pain in bones and joints, so, when I got my dx, I said, right we are having oe of them! (The foam, slightly warms to you and takes the contour of your body instead of pushing towards you like spring does). It really makes a big difference. Gosh, I should get a commision on these, the way I go on!
Voila, no I MUST get my kitchen (actually DH has started for me, my he is feeling generous!)
BTW. that cake looks, very very yummy!
xx Shiny night night

Okay Linda........what about spinach and cheese ones? Thanks though for the pizza dough idea. I suppose once you have the dough perfected you can stuff 'em with just about anything.
Hey mom2two, I've watched Coronation Street for years so I can translate Shiny's post for you! Heck, I'm Canadian...........we have our own language too.
-
Sharon, Yes, stuff them with whatever you'd like. My son likes hamd and cheese calzones. Meatballs and sauce. I love spinach and cheese. When I make those I cook the spinach in olive oil, garlic and pinenuts before I put it on the dough. Yummy!
-
Thanks Shiny, you are a sweetheart! I think I'd love the tea since I have to stay away from caffeine (palpitations) and the mattress sounds pretty good too. I think they call them memory foam here. They are very expensive.
Linda where do you buy the ready made pizza dough? Is it frozen? I like to make pizza bread for the kids when I need a quick lunch. I take plain white bread, spread some butter or margarine on it then put a good dollop of chef boy ardee pizza sauce on top of that and spread it out, then top with shredded colby cheese and toast in the oven till its hot and bubbly. Makes a pretty good pizza substitute.
-
-
When I make pizzas I simply use flour tortillas. They work great.
Edit to add. Wouldn't work for calzones though I don't think.
-
I buy the dough at bakeries, supermarket bakeries, or my favorite place to buy it is a restaurant called Bertuccis. Not sure if they are nationwide but they have excellent dough!! If you have a bread machine you can make dough in there but then you have to clean the bread machine and I know how much we all love to clean!!
-
I have a good friend in San Diego that makes the best homemade pizza dough. She puts it in the fridge overnight and somehow it makes it so light and crispy on the outside. I should ask her for the recipe again. May have to give the pillsbury one a try though.
-
Well first of all, I'd better clarify, that those precious babeez are my GRANDchildren. I guess I didn't really say that & was just thinking it was clear..... sorry to have led any astray. They are the best kind -- give back upon upset. This batch lives about 20 minutes down the road & warms my heart. We have another set out in Denver w/#3 in that clan set to arrive early this summer, but they are unbearable far away.
Shiny, I'm so glad you're already feeling a bit better.
Just got back from getting the various nonsense to hunt for tomorrow. Twill be fun. I picked up some little matchbox cars and those will delight WB (WonderBoy -- older sib to the babeez.)
It will take me a while to sort out -- who/what/when/where, so feel free to chatter on about yourselves a tad. It will help us newcomers.
-
faith - My brothers nickname was wonderboy. He's 49 now, the oldest with 4 sisters. We still tease him and call him wonderboy!! Your grandchildren are beautiful! Have fun with them!! I know you will!!
-
Ooookaaayyyy my fellow housekeeper pals....I'm fixing to store the laptop in the suitcase. Now I've been thinking that there is just noooo way I can go a whole week without ya'll, so you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be finding me some internet service somewhere:) And I was thinking, too, that since I can't do any housework this week, well, that maybe nobody else should either. I don't want ya'll to get ahead of me.........it just wouldn't be fair and all........mmmkay?
OH I loved the peep show KAK. That was too funny. I didn't know those little peeps were so talented:)
All these posts about pizza, chocolate cake, and some food I've never even heard of, well.....now I'm hawngry
Wish I had a big ole slice of pizza, with some chocolate cake waiting on the side and some peeps to wash it all down:) uugghhhhh....kinda getting tummy ache just thinking about it:)
Ooohhhh Shiny!! I hope you recover 100% and hope you have a wonderful time on your trip!! Do you realize that I'll probably pass about 25 Walmarts on my way up North?? I'll have to stop in every one of them JUST for you of course:)
Hey Mom......I know what you mean about grandkids. I have only one DD, and she's just interested in graduating from college right now. I think it will be a very long time before I get to be a granny:) I would love it though!!! I don't think I could handle what Linda does with those sleepovers, cooking, and all.....she must be wonderwoman!!
Hey........did we get Sharon's house clean or not? I can't remember
OH wait........I think I do remember something about her lounging on a chair, with a pen and paper giving us orders:) Your house should look pretty good my sweet Canadian friend:) Hope you enjoy your company.
Ohhh Faithie!!!!!!!!!! You sure don't look old enough to be grandma, but that's the good thing about being young and having grandbabeeeeezz. You still have some energy to play. They are sooooooooo cute in that grass!!! I wonder if they've discovered sand yet? I bet that would be another interesting discovery for them....hehe. Hey Faithie.....there's ANOTHER Deb-from-Ohio on here. What is it with all the Debbie's??!! She's the one who taught me about the TREE!!!
Footie!!!!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful Easter and a good week. I'll try to log on and send you some hugs during the week, just in case I don't, here's a big ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUG)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) for you for all week:)
Big hugs to all of you. I hope each of you have a very Blessed Easter!!
