MB..... of course we'll get her an afghan. I'll take the box if Madison doesn't need it. I have been swamped between work and my moms house (had some trees cut down etc.) but I promise to work hard beginning Wednesday. I'm going to see Elton John & Billy Joel tomorrow night.
Gentle hugs to you all... thank you so much for helping.

Wow, beautiful colors on this afghan. Great job Madison!

Madison, I am the recipient of this beautiful afghan. I was truly surprised and touched by this amazing gesture. My sister crochets these squares all the time and I don't think I realized what they were really for. We recognize a few of the pieces that she made. That makes it even more special.
This afghan is absolutely beautiful and cheered me up. I am snuggling on my reclining chair with it right now. I will cherish it forever.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to make this. Thanks for inspiring me to stay strong.
-
papaann,
I'm glad you received your box of hugs. We are all here to support you.
Your sister does an amazing job making the squares and we love having her working on this project.

Lots of hugs to all my sisters, Jackie

Ladies,
Just got back from my sister's house. She got great results. No lymph node involvement. Right side benign. Stage I. She definitely needs radiation but has to go for consultation with medical oncologist first. Thanks for all your support.
The afghan is absolutely beautiful!!!!!! I've never seen one in person and it is amazing. The squares are so beautiful. I can't believe how big and warm and cuddly it is. Thank you all so much for all your hard work.
Now....I'm off to border all my squares and get them in the mail by Friday.

One more thing...Nate fourth grade class is thinking of doing a community service project and would like to sew squares together to donate to Lourdes Breast Care Center for the next dx'd woman (or man) that they have...I can take pics of the kids and Lourdes but I want to know if its ok with everyone here. It will have all your names on the letter that goes with it along with this website link.
If you don't want to do this its ok...I have a couple of women at church making squares and I can use them instead.
Hugs again
