Barbe, kewl! then I got three things done yesterday ... chemo, getting home and cleaning up all that hair, lol, thanks barbe, you all are great and a big help.

the link for help at home ... I do have a place close to me and have not contacted them out of silly ol' pride and let me tell you ladies ... I am really getting ready to say what the heck! and ask for help. It has always been a challenge for me to ask anyone for help. When married, I was the one at Lowes getting the wood to redo the molding for the window frames, not my hubby, he was too busy bending the elbow. At least I knew what i was doing, Laughing and it turned out quite well. I'm just used to doing it all myself.

so, it's 4 a.m. and the steriods are doing their work, can't sleep.  Going to go make a nice tall glass of iced water, pop my anti nausea pill, watch tv and go knit some more on my next hat. When the sun comes up, I plan on doing some dishes ... they are still in the sink.

I am pondering what to do today over a cup of freshly brewed coffee.   Hmmmmm,  sun is not out, but it is not raining - yet.   Yesterday I renewed my lease for this apartment for another year.  Although I will not stay here forever, it is good enough for now.   The thoughts of moving are too much.

HAPPY St. Patrick's Day.  Have a good day.   HUGS,  Nancy

Nana please let a bit of that pride go and ask for some help, there is no shame in that, you have raised children and tolerated a husband that was not all he should have been, so now it's "you" time, even if its only to help out the next few months through treatments, "You/We" DESERVE IT!!!

Well up @ 5:30AM, have made the bed, washed some dishes, fed both Margo & Roxie (cat), Margo out x2 , she is doing great with the potty thing. She and the cat still have not quite befriended each other.

    Happy  Cleaning Ladies.

What's everyone up to this morning? I did my early morning "pause awake" at 3:30am (wonder why our body reacts that way) so I got the dinner dishes from last night in the dishwasher so we'd have things ready for breakfast. Now its back to tidying up cause I don't want to ever get behind again like that.

Nana I felt the same way about asking for help and I know I've seen a lot of other women mention having the same thoughts but its just not worth all the stress you feel not getting it done. I didn't even have chemo and its taken me all this time trying to catch up. They should put it in the insurance code that any woman going through cancer treatment has to be reimbursed for housekeeping services as well. When I run for president I'm making that part of my platform along with all moms getting paid to stay home with their kids till they reach school age.Smile

So, ladies....today is the first day I've actually felt like doing any kind of cleaning(mastectomy 2-25, finished chemo 1-21). I will start with my bedroom. Clean sheets will go on the bed first thing....gotta get those darn flannel sheets off...I'm sweating my a@@ off at night!!! grr  I will get all of my laundry done too...maybe 2 loads at most. If I get any more than that done there must've been divine intervention.

I changed the bed and put the sheets in the washer.  Wish I could get rid of my flannels, not quite yet.   I alos vacuumed the bedrooms.  I want to get lots done today so I can enjoy tomorrow.....60 degrees again but then 30 by Friday.

Stacy, be careful changing the sheets! I still can't manage it because of the tug and pull then stretch motion. Do you need a hand....?

Stacy I say let the maid make the bed, Barbe is right you are not that far out from surgery. A complete bed changes still bothers me, more so from having nodes out in 06 than the MX I think this past Oct,  you might look all healed on the outside but the inside still has a ways to go.

Cathi is right Stacy. I know I'm 5 months out and just starting to feel like I have enough energy to start this. So don't over do it too soon.

Cathi now what woman in right mind is gonna let a maid looking like that in her houseSurprised

I'd really prefer a nice, handsome man making my bed...or better yet... UNMAKING my bed...tee hee hee. Sorry ladies.. just had to throw that out there!!!

So far today I have loaded the dishwasher and bought and put away groceries. Next I'm heading up stairs to start that messy bedroom. I can't really complain, however, because that mess is all mine!! When my husband moved out he actually took all of his crap that was strung out all over the floor in the bedroom. I used to complain because I couldn't tell what color carpet we had in the bedroom. Geez. Now look what I've become.

Pam... I LOVE Two & a Half Men... It is such a funny show!

OK -OK LADIES HERE YOU GO - That maid I was planning on hiring -  he's here - LOL

American men's contribution to housework has increased about 15 percent in the last 40 years, so has their sex activities, suggested a discussion paper released Thursday.

Oh- I need a Pool Boy too!  LOL

Well I did better today then I thought I would.  Finished the load in the dryer from yesterday- It wasnt important stuff that it needed to get folded right away- but then again- Nothing is that important if you ask me- LOL

got another load in.  Threw some stuff in a crock pot for Dinner.  I hope I dont give dh a heart attack- I havent cooked in months.   Saw a new recipe in the Kraft Magazine...It only had 5 ingredients...I thought- Hey I can do this...Only I didnt have 3 of the ingredients so I substituted- LOL

I think dh will probably be happy if I go back to not cooking.

I also caramelized some Almonds for him..He likes them on his salad.

And I am working on an order.

You have done well today Pam, I washed one load and it is hanging out to dry, love that outside smell, espically on sheets.

I am also cooking tonight, but Ed and I rarely eat together during the week, running a car lot does not come with a schedule unfortunetly, so he usually does a reheat,

I have started taking Margo out for short walks, boy is that fun, but she did better today than yesturday, she is so scared of all the new sounds, but it is best to get her used to "everyday" things. I needed her for motivation to walk again anyway, I was getting pretty lazy when it came to that.

Cathi...when he's done cleaning your pool I'd like mine cleaned too. And then there's that spot on my back that needs the tanning lotion rubbed in....hmmm

Now I have dinner cooking in the crock pot...smells so nice! I've taken the pooch for 2 short walks. I did get the clean sheets out and set them on the corner of the bed. I took the trash out. Haven't cleaned the bedroom YET...I will get there... I think.

Well, I woke up weird. Hit the wall 3 times trying to get out of my bedroom and felt kind of dizzy so I took it easy. This is the only day my husband and I are home together. I had him drive to a mall where I bought him 2 racing jackets for being so wonderful during my healing. T'was just over $300 but I would have spent $3,000 if I'd had it! He got the new AMP one and the Crown Royal. Then I had him take me back home to bed. I just got back up now and hope I feel good enough to drive to work tomorrow! He rented House and we will settle in for hours of TV soon.

We watch Two and a Half Men too. I wouldn't trust Berta with my DH, he's a sweetie!

Well gosh  Barbe I hope your head is feeling better.

Cali you have done good my dear, gosh you are just about a month out of surgery, I don't think you should even attempted the bed thing alone, you know the general rule is NO LIFTING  over a gallon of milk for 6 weeks, I am sure the mattress weighs more than that, just lifting the corner, I/We all know how it is, we want to be up and at it, and the we tend to over due it, most of us have been there done that.  One day (I was proably 4/wks out) woke up feeling darn good,  decided that the ceiling fans were quite dusty,  so I just climbed up on a chair from room to room (I have 10 ceiling fans in my house) and cleaned them all, at the time I did not feel as if I was over doing it,  well a few hours later, my arms, my chest my back - every part of my upper body gave me hell,  I spent a good part of the next 2 days in bed.  Its not really worth hurting yourself.

    Ok enough lectures. XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
