Let me ask this question. Why does David Axelrod have an office next to the President? Is he on the payroll too? As what officially? Assistant President?
-
MrS, myDH wishes he was retired so he could play golf. But first I need to get him to listen to me and take his supplements so he stops getting things like gout and wrist pain. His family has a history of joint problems. If you decide to head north, you guys can go shoot a round or two and I will take MrsS out for a lovely day. Laura can join us for a nice lunch and walk along the river and maybe some shopping. Let's see if you buy new clubs she should get about $500 for new clothes. If you have to have those callaways, then she gets double! Igot a really great set of clubs for under $200 from a guy who sizes and custom makes them. But if you go that route, Mrs S won't be able to shop as much.
By the way. I cannot golf with my husband. He takes the game WAY to seriously. I have learned not to laugh at him. And he has no patience with me when I decide to stop and take pictures of a bluebird or harvest some flower seeds. LOL
His funniest shot: he overshot the green, the ball hit the roof of the clubhouse and rolled down off the roof right into the basket of a golf cart. I started laughing and he got so mad. He did not see where the ball landed and insisted I was making it up. When we got up to the green, the guy picked his ball out of the basket and read him the riot act for not yelling FORE! I never let him live that one down. Now you can see why he won't play with me. I just play for fun! It makes him crazy!

David Axelrod is chief political consultant....they get a seat at the table..and assistant president is a good term for it.
-
David Axelrod is the bodyguard. BO does not trust the secret service. And BO knows he has to dance with the ones that brought him.
-
I think do-overs are ok in golf ...... especially if the golf cart is carrying beer.
-
I sorry, I did not know they made a golf cart that did not carry beer...
.It's called a Mulligan...wish we had one on the last election.
-
You guys are tooooo funny!
My dh retired and we don't have any money. He does our taxes. Ya think he can be a CPA in training. He's really good at math! Well, darn! That's probably not going to be a good career now. Not after the tax evaders got by with it. Hell, no one will pay their taxes so they won't need a CPA.

Speaking of RETIREMENT it can be very bad for your health.

Shirley
If you retire and have money, you are not retired, you are an investorl...A true retiree does not worry about little things like money...I just pay my bills with bags of turnips...tell them if they can get enough blood from them, they can sell it and apply it to my account.
-
But what if I want to EAT the turnips. I love turnips with or without greens..collard greens...cabbage...anything that causes GAS! LOL

Now I know where the global warming is coming from
-
Can't sleep - will try juicing some cauliflower (peeled of course), collard greens, cabbage and turnips...YUM! Polar bears...look out!
-
So Axelrod has been installed in the room right next to Obama, shouting distance so to speak. I think that's the Monica Lewinsky room. They're so good at naming rooms in that house.
I wrote my Congressman, asking him to do something about the planned genocide in the bill. There is so much garbage in that bill. What else is hidden in there? I think they hope to pass it by Friday, we can kiss our arses goodbye on Saturday.
-
Laura,
Put a splash of olive oil in the drink, it will release all the vitamin K in the veggies. Ahhh, good.

Hi Ladies and Spouse,
I must be lousy at internet searching .... could someone please provide me the link to the article in Drudge or elsewhere about the healthcare cuts for old people. A friend told me Lou Dobbs would be discussing this tonight on CNN.
Thanks
Bren
-
Bren,
If you can read the hit site, supposedly it starts talking about it on Page 440 which I heard about on Dobbs last night. She even went to Daschle's book where he recommended this be put in an appropiations bill so it won't get the scrutiny. This is just beyond the beyond.
http://www.readthestimulus.org/
I just found out the hard way that the numbering of pages on read the stimulus is different from the printed version. I can't find it.
I couldn't find it on the Drudge report either:

Today is Sarah Palin's birthday!
-
So what happen last night while we were sleeping well except GTO............the new interior Secretary Ken Salazar blocks Bush's sale of off shore leases to gas and oil companies for drilling off the coast of the Atlantic and the Pacific...........I am so mad I cannot see straight........does anyone understand the amount of revenue the drilling would bring to the US gov't and help ease our dependence on foreign oil?........What a lot of crap......if anyone wants to see the article just google interior secretary breaks with energy policy..........2 years cannot come soon enough..........Shokk
-
Shokk...not to mention IT WOULD PUT PEOPLE TO WORK! DUH!
AND...A BIG HUGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SARAH! (The tax paying ex-vice presidential candidate)!
-
OMG Sherri! I could just see legions of obots marching through the streets of America checking tire pressure, and thermostats and light bulbs...LMAO! While the thermostat in the Whitehouse is on SCORCH cause you know..."he's from Hawaii"...what a load of sheite!
-
Shokk, I guess Salazar would prefer that the Chinese or Russians have access to the off shore oil with their deals with castro. This is a result of their desire to make it so expensive to drill that we will all be forced to drive kiddie kars. I am all for alternatives, but they still have not come up with a way to make them affordable and sensible. All that money wasted on turning corn into fuel, pushed by dick dirtbag. No one is being told how much fuel it takes to turn the corn into usable energy.
The market really liked Bobo's speech. I just hope people are so fed up in two years that they actually vote.
We are one terrorist attack away from total collapse.
-
Sounds a little Orwellian doesn't it. Who can live, who can die, what to drive. If in 8 years from now and we still have a Constitution, I'll bet its been changed to allow the great one to stay on for another 8.
-
Remember when reading Orwell was just so out there? I thought my teachers were nuts when they told us it could come true and now here we are living in it. We already have the indoctrination of youth. We have the face of Obamao everywhere so we can worship our dear leader. We have the media under control of the state. And the sad thing is, most of the country is asleep and does not have a clue what is going on. They are still hoping for change. The stupidity of most Americans is what really gets me the maddest.
-
I bet all thoses laid off RV makers are tickled pink about the Obama's decision to get away from carbon based fuels..
I can't wait to take my new 10 ton battery powered RV up thru the Rockies. It will climb those hills like a goat..(animal kind not Laura kind)
-
Sherri of course this will be part of the plan. This is how it is done in Chicago and now will be incorporated by the DC gang. The only way to get a contract in Chicago is to be a minority. My friend was sued by the city because they said she misrepresented her company as a minority, even though she was told, a female company was considered minority. She runs the business aspect of her company, but her husband runs the machinery, so they said HE was not a minority. What a crock. My carpenter was telling me that one of his buddies was asked to finish a project that a minority did a lousy job on, did shoddy work on and then skipped out. When this guy fixed all the problems and finished the job, HE was sued by the skanky contractor for taking his job! Where is the reverse discrimination!
-
I just turned on Rush. He is on a rampage. You all have to tune it. It will give you hope that someone is not taking this lying down!
-
Mr. Spouse what a cynic you are.........I bet your golf cart is battery powered.......then why not your RV you air polluting, heartless, mean spirited Republican (and I mean that in the nicest way)....Shokk
-
I've been listening to C-SPAN, the House is debating, well kinda, no dems have to debate, they just have to vote. The mad rush to accept and vote is being dictated by the vacation needs of the majority party. They're outta of here.
More respect was lost with Geithner's dismal performance yesterday. They're making unforced errors left and right which usually means they'll lose the game in 2010.
-
Shokk...Nope...I have a high speed gas powered golf cart...Learned a long time ago, the first person to get to his ball has the best lie.....Coincidence I'm sure
-
Too bad some of the elderly can't camp out at the WH, with the way the heat is on over there. Sad about the elderly man who FROZE in his house because the electric company had put one of those meters on his house that shuts down the power. Apparently, he either didn't know or forgot how to switch that meter back on --- they go off so the householder gets irritated about having to reset it and then pay their bill.
