I'm sure this won't go through, but here I go anyway.
As far a betting on MO's weight...stupid. Laura was up and down. Hillary was up and down. Laura and Hillary had big you now what's. Hope I don't get reported for this. LOL Nancy looked anorexic. Mama Bush look like the REAL thing. The other First Ladies...don't remember much about them. Oh, Carter's wife looked good.
As far as Obama's children, I feel sorry for them too. However, remember Amy Carter wasn't that old and she even went to public school. Chelsea..she was kinda young. The Kennedy children weren't in the WH that long before they moved out.
I don't think MO will have more children. Most woment their age don't. I think she'll be busy enough with the two she has...oh, wait, isn't her mom moving in?
I'm glad the border patrole guys are getting out of prison withing the next two months.
I didn't see the Beck show today. Oh, well.
Caroline...there are more deserving, experienced people to take that position. It's obvious why she gets it if she gets it. If I were her I would be embarrassed.
I think there's a place on the internet that I saw what the Obama's like to eat. I'm going to peak if I can find it. That should be interesting.
-
Am I off parole? Let's see if this goes through!
-
I'm gonna go get me some homemade soup that I made yesterday in the crock pot. It's chilly here...51 degrees. Has been chillier but now it may snow a little bit. Would you believe they're already closing schools in our county and surrounding counties? You Chicagoians (sp) would laugh. So would the rest of you NORTHERNERS.
HERBIE, forgot to say I loved your post. Very, very insightful. You are a reasonable person. You should be a shrink. Oh, forget that. Shrinks are too reasonable..LOL
Okay, off for that soup.
Shirley
-
I probably should have said, "off probation." LOL At least I can post now. I'll try to be nice, ladies. I was a bad, bad girl.
Shirley
-
My I say that McCain was too white to run for president. You know how some said he looked unwell. The make up. My goodness...when will the racial debate ever end?
Herbie, guess what. I don't like to get on an elevator all alone with ANY man. So, what does that make me? Paranoid? LOL I don't like to walk through parking decks alone or walk up stairs in those parking decks. Men, they can be scary. Notice I sam MEN. I don't like to open my front door to strangers and I don't care what color they are. Yes, I guess I'm paranoid.
Now I'm getting my soup before I get too sick to eat it!
-
On no, the serenity of the site is doomed Shirley is back in force. Wouldn't have it any other way.
-
The pressure to be the wife of the Pres ... I am not sure if she was working as of late, I think she was busy being a stay at home mom ... so if that's the case ... it's not fair for the kids to have to "give her up" .. i know grandma is coming but that's not the same as mom ... Mom is now going to be pressured to take up a cause.
Nowadays, being First Lady is kind of like Miss America -- no longer can sit on the side after winning but must go out and support causes .. like Queen E's hubby .. too bad. I can understand if you are past raising your kids but if not ... well, as parents they seem to have their head on their shoulders, I hope she can conitnue as the SAHM.
-
Shirley, glad you are back. I missed you laughs! They have no sense of humor over there. I cannot believe there is no school. Are you nuts-50 is cold?? When it gets that warm around here it will be time to put on the shorts. I had a pot of chili in the garage, I use it as my big fridge in the winter. It froze, even in the garage! And my garage is well insulated! We do not close schools unless we get at least 6 inches. You southerners are such weenies! And Sherri, you say it is sunny and 60? Time to jump in the pool!
I had a terrible thought about making a baby in the white house. Okay I will not go there!
When was Beck on? I thought it was going to be on at 6 but still shep smith. Did I miss it?
Darn it was on at 4 here. I wonder if I can watch it online?
-
No Sherri, I know nothing about Bill Ayers not being allowed into Canada, in fact the first time I heard about him was on bc.org.
-
You use your garage as a fridge??
------
Ok, so it's not cold here but it was overcast this morning forcing me to turn on the heater to the pool. See we need heaters here too. No worries though, the sun came out by noon! We were safe especially with SPF 45.

Okay, here is the deal about Michelle Obama and weight: WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe no one on this thread has anything better to talk about than the future "First Lady" and her weight. Please go back to something far less "tabloid".
I believe that every woman in the spot light experiences a great deal of stress which sometimes leads to extreme weight loss, other times to weight gain. Just like we here on this thread look past color (regardless of what our "liberal" friends think) we must look past weight.
I think she will not gain weight, I think she will hire a trainer and make the cook produce low fat healthy food and I think she will look better and better as time goes on. I think she will read the tabloids that will no doubt call her fat and I think it will hurt her feelings and I don't care what our personal opinions are about her, we shouldn't partake of such demeaning behavior.
She is a woman, we still have to stick together.
If you don't agree with me, please just ignore this post, please don't bombard me with ridicule. I am tired of being ridiculed for sharing my thoughts. Not here on this thread, you guys are great--I mean everywhere else I post.

I was just pondering....they are still young enough to increase their family. Sherri, I found an article on a news website about William Ayers being denied entry.
The Canadian Press
TORONTO -- The University of Toronto says William Ayers, a former U.S. radical who featured prominently in Republican efforts to thwart Barack Obama's election campaign, has been denied entry to Canada.
The university's Centre for Urban Schooling issued a statement saying Ayers, who once lived next to Obama in Chicago, was denied entry to Canada on Sunday night.
Ayers, who was to deliver a speech at the centre, was mentioned often during the campaign, cited by former Republican vice-presidential hopeful Sarah Palin as proof Obama had links to terrorism.
The release says the centre was surprised Ayers, a distinguished professor, community organizer and author, would be deemed a threat by Canadian border security.
It says Ayers, who also once sat on the board of a charitable foundation alongside the president-elect, was refused entry because of a 1969 conviction during an anti-war demonstration.
The release also says Ayers was not allowed an opportunity to meet with his lawyer.
-
Moody, the purpose of the post on this was to say how stupid it was for the betters to bet on weight gain. If you check, all post was in agreement that it was stupid and disrespectful to do such a thing,
You got your 'tude' on tonight. Is everything OK, I will never ridiculd you for anything other than being too young and too skinny.
-
Canada is all abuzz about the inauguration tomorrow. Barack Obama has a high approval rating in Canada. Most Canadians believe he will be re-elected too. I will be watching the whole event on television tomorrow, but those Canadians who were able to and who can afford it have gone to witness the inauguration. Sure to be an electrifying event! I think better things will be for the US, Canada and the world.
-
The weight gain bet thing? I don't get it.
-
Summer we didn't get it either ... just people being idiots ...
prass, sybil, flee $$$
Medusas at large!
-
My goodness Summer, who did the research on the that article?
First of all, Ayers did not live next door to Obama. He is even quoted as living in his neighborhood. Next, Sarah Palin never said Ayers had links to terrorism. She said he committed domestic terrorism, which he admits to and bombed the home of a policeman, but was let off on a technicality. Third, as a "distinguished author" Ayers wrote a book extolling the glory of marxism and dedicated it the the nut case who murdered Robert Kennedy, SirhanSirhan. Sorry I can't remember the name of this little tome. And finally as a community organizer, he and Obama were on a committee that was supposed to distribute funds for inner city Chicago schools. They were given MILLIONS by the Annenburg foundation to use for the schools, but no one seems to find where even one dollar went to the schools. Most of the money was funneled through ACORN, the intitiative that gets people to register to vote. ACORN has only registered democrats and had a huge impact on getting obama elected. Now if a republican had done that it would have been headlines, but Obama gets a pass of course because the press does not want to hurt his image. Man I wish these people would report the facts! I wish I could be so happy about bama's election. I do not want this man to fail, for the sake of our country, but I do not know if I will ever be able to accept that he did not gain the presidency honestly. Never in our history has our "free" press failed to report on an politician. In fact, in this case, they did a lot of cover ups and actually abetted his election. Okay, my BP is up. I am trying to forget all this and have an open mind, but it is really hard when I keep seeing such media bias. Will it ever stop??
-
I guess the school and Bill Ayers are going to follow up on what happened and hope to have him reschedule his talk as per The Centre for Urban Schooling Website.
-
I don't know who did the research on the article vivre. It is on the ctv.ca website. There is another article in the Globe and Mail.
-
Oh spouse I always have my tude on----it is one of the many reasons you love me.
-
Bill Ayers has no respect .. has not even learned to respect our American Flag!!
-
OMG ,,, MSM asked: are we getting a king or a president? LOL Someone is getting it now that the love fest has gone overboard!
-
Vivre commented on the fact that Obama didn't honestly win the election .. he didn't .. MSM was behind it, ACORN was behind it and our dang electoral college created the landslide .. a true democracy would have shown the true division in the votes.
Bush stole it, too ..... Al Gore won the Florida vote .... it was sad (Although I hate Gore) that because of the dang chads that true democracy didn't win out.
We need to stick with our core values ... but we need to do it legally and fairly. We don't see this anymore!!!1
-
Rock, leave it to you to find that cute little pic of the guy who said his only regret was he did not get the job done, talking about his plot to blow up the pentagon. Have you noticed that he has not spoken out anywhere in the USA? I think the DNC put a gag order on him. They do not want anyone to hear about his friendship with the guy in his neighborhood. Of course he can go to canada where he knows folks won't notice. We never hear any news of what is going on up north, except for those of us who have Summer to keep us posted. LOL I am sure if Canada will not let Ayers in, he can always find an open door in the EU where he talk about the evils of America and his good buddy BarryO.
-
I was listening to Obamamaniacs News today .... the news said that BO, who made his community service a cornerstone of his campaign, was going to make that a call to arms. An Obamamaniac said that the reason for the hoopla and greatest expenditure EVER ... was because this was "our" inauguration .. not his (meaning Obama)... he brought it all back to that "call" that community service, community organizing was going to be necessary to make this succeed.
OK ..... so I wonder why the Dim boards everywhere are not talking about what they are going to do for their country but what Obama is going to do for them??????????????
I sure hope that I don't start getting community service requirement notifications in the mail!! I think if you get an unemployment check, a welfare check, even a disability check, some sort of service should be required. We can all sit and watch someone's child or answer a phone. I don't know who would determine the time required but heck, even a lady in an iron lung that I knew was conducting free home bible studies! They can all do something if they are getting a check .. (I would say unless they are getting school credits to get trained for a new job/career)
-
teamsarah.com has the palin/beck interview
I wonder if they will be making such a big deal about history being made when SHE becomes president in 4 years. Of course the press will be doing all they can to make her look bad with their insinuations and insults.
-
Rock, Since you mentioned Gore. This is for you, A likeness of Gore, even weighs as much as he does.
Gore ice sculpture unveiled in Fairbanks
Associated Press - January 19, 2009 8:14 PM ET
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - Al Gore is now a wintertime fixture in Fairbanks.
Well, make that an ice sculpture of the 2007 Nobel Prize winner and leader in the movement to draw attention to climate change and global warming.
Local businessman Craig Compeau unveiled the frozen likeness on Monday.
The 8 1/2-foot-tall, 5-ton sculpture dominates a downtown street corner from its perch on the back of a flatbed truck.
Compeau says he's a "moderate" critic of global warming theories. He used Monday's unveiling of the sculpture to invite Gore to Fairbanks -- where it was 22 degrees on Monday -- to explain his global warming theories.
He says it will stand through March, unless it melts before then.
-
Oh, he is Mister hypocrite ........him and Sybil.
-
Please join me in praying for some global warming. I am getting tired of freezing my buns off. Although it is nice having a double wide refridgerator. And it does not use up one ounce of energy to run! Love that frozen chili.
