Deb, if only I had an ice cream maker! You'd find cinnamon ice cream in your freezer to go with Tender's pie
. I bet Faith would stop by and serenade you while you eat~~~which we all hope you are doing! Afterwards, sleep, perchance to dream of beautiful mountain autumns.Blessings, Kentucky Warrior

sloneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedebbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb..............

that was like reading a whole novel from you. i love when you have enough energy to share what's going on in your life. i can just picture you with little twin goats. that must have brightened up your day and really made it memorable.
i'm so sorry to hear about your nose bleed..... i think that you must be the most brave person i know..... you and DebCAlaska are a breed unto yourselves. you are so strong, slonedeb, even if you don't always feel that way
i live in columbus, just two hours north of cincinati.... it would be so much fun, so inspirational to get to meet in person. i can picture us all rocking on your front porch, saying prayers -- reading scripture, laughing and sharing.
i wish you could make the journey to the smokeys, slonedeb. that is such beautiful countryside. i've camped in those hills many times -- as a child and as an adult. i love to watch the streams come down the mountain sides.... too beautiful for words at times
the last time that i was in the smokeys i saw a mama bear and her little cubs. we followed her a bit off the road, but never got close -- just enjoyed seeing them ramble together
much love to you sister. hope that you enjoy seeing the trees beginning to turn.

Slonedeb, I have been away for awhile and am trying to get back in touch with our e mail. I have a few pages to read through. I want to say that I hope you are doing well and that you are in my thoughts and prayers, every day and night.
I wish I had the perfect cure for our troubles. We woudl then be able to share our time on the beach and with our friends, without any worries.
Good night to all and you are in my thoughts and prayers. (((((E HUGS))))) coming your way.
-
slonedeb. i literally woke up in the middle of the night and was thinking about your son's efforts to be back into rehab. i will hold that idea as number one in my thoughts and prayers over the coming days and weeks. i know that would be such a blessing to you.
prayer warriors: let's all focus on that prayer in the midst of our prayers for slonedeb

heymoose good to see you again faith i am going to ask onc about missing 1 chemo and wait too see if i feel like going i have always wanted to go there faith one my oldest friends lives in colombus i havent seen her since we were in college together her name is della smallwood i dont remember her married name and i have a beice who is a teacher in cinn faith i am not as strong as everyonethinks some days all i do is cry and feel sorry for myself and that makes me mad but i try to keep fighting i love you girls bug how did your scans go tender how are you deb from ky
-
slonedeb, i don't think that just because you spend a large chunk of the day crying -- that you are not strong. i think it shows a great deal of strength to know what you know, face what you face and get on with it the best that you can. that's what shows your strength........ not how many tears you shed.
i'll be eager to hear what your onc says about missing a chemo.
if you got real ambitious and wanted to come to Columbus, you're always welcome in my home. we have a guest room with it's own bath attatched. nothing fancy, but i'd be sure to run the sheets before ya got here.
i think getting into the smokies would do you a world of good..... go see God's creation -- up close and personal. marvel at all of that beauty. i can just imagine the fall leaves and all of those colors, cascading down the mountainside. spoil yourself. you deserve it.

slonedeb, you continue to be in my prayers daily. You are amazing with what strength and grace you are going through this trial. I wish I could come and visit you. Just to sit with you and help the hours to not be spent alone. I'm with you in spirit. Bless your husband for being there for you and I'll add my prayers to the rest that your son's treatment is a success. Blessings
-
Deb, I was thinking the same thing: see if you can safely miss a chemo and go with your sisters!!
"On top of Old Smoky, all covered with....leaves!"
Best wishes for your son's reach for recovery.
Blessings, dear lady....
-
Slonedeb, starting my day with well-wishes for you in the midst of your journey. You've got me thinking about the Smokies. We'll be driving thru them in about two weeks and I'm really looking forward to it -- with your prompt.
Know that I send you strength and energy for your day. And a cup of warm oatmeal.

Deb, I think the Silver Queen corn is finished here. I cut it off the cob, but not as swiftly as I remember my aunts doing, swish, swash. I guess summer really is over. Tomatoes will be good a while longer. I have memories of making tomato juice to can~~~~can't buy that kind of good!!
Goodnight to Deb and all the Slone Rangers!!!
-

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope"
-
Slonedeb...... your story attracts the very dearest of people.
We've added another "Deb" with FootieAngelDeb.
I know that all of the Debs: Puppy & Alaska Deb and I and now FootieDeb are all praying for you.
Pansy, what a gracious verse for us to lean on. Our God is a God of hope. May we all be filled with the joy and peace of that knowledge as we travel over the rough road and the patches still under construction.
HOPE.
What a singularly amazing word. May we give all of our unresolved issues over and be filled with HOPE for the journey.

Well prayer does work doesn't it. Sounds like son is on right path but we need to keep up the prayer line. It is warm here today and sunny. We had rain yesterday. Well you and hubby can snuggle. It has been busy and hectic lately here. My good friend hubby died a lil over a week ago from lung cancer. But I know he has gone home and he was a good christian man.So I have been trying to help her. The dr said my scan about same as one in July. Some tumors grew a tiny bit. But I am thanking God for the report because it could have been a Bad one. Dr. did take me off the avastin so now maybe bp will get back to normal and the sinus crud will go away. I am staying on the gemzar. Deb I think of you all throughout the day. Also remember you and others in prayer. I feel I need to pray more. I know I need to show others how good God is. You enjoy the fall weekend. I have my granddaughters for weekend so I am not bored. GOD bless us all.
-
wow. posts from Tender, Slonedeb and Kbug all in a row!!
Good to see some of the original "Slone-rangers" checking in today. It must be the weekend.
Slonedeb: I think that's it's truly terrific to hear of your son's progress and his admission of his behavior. Keep loving the person that he is possible yet of becoming.
I'm so glad that you've been given this glimmer of hope.

FOR DEB...AND ALL THE SLONE RANGERS~~~~~Do you know what hope is? It's magic and it's free. It's not in a prescription. It's not in an IV. It punctuates our laughter. It sparkles in our tears. It simmers under sorrows. It dissipates our fears.Do you know what hope is? It's reaching past today. It's dreaming of tomorrow. It's trying a new way. It's pushing past impossible. It's pounding on the door. It's questioning the answer. It's always seeking more. It's rumors of a break. It's whispers of a cure. A roller coaster ride. Of remedies, unsure. Do you know what hope is? It's candy for the soul. It's perfume for the spirit. To share it makes you whole. Take my hand...come... Let's share this hope...together... ~author unknown
-
slonedeb..... so you must absolutely MARVEL at the posts here for you? I do.
thanks pansy for the poetic hope. let's keep hope alive for our slonedeb, for each other.
let's continue praying for slonedeb and her family to heal, to have miracles showered down upon them. let's keep praying for progress, for treatment, and let's be bold and pray for a cure.
slonedeb, i am held up by your example. i know that there are times when you don't feel strong or couragous and yet your actions speak louder than your feelings -- as you continue to seek treatment, as you continue to post here of your fears and your concerns.
know that we surround you with our love and with our caring.
a special hug for you, this sunday morning:

Morning our dear Deb. I was just thinking how much you mean to me. You have overcome so much in the time we have known each other. You are one to share Gods love to others and to encourage us all. Wow you are a great lady..... You are like a warm sunny day that wraps warmth and love around us all. I pray you are having a great weekend . I love you and send lots of gentle hugs.... Tell your hubby hello also.
-
Nice to read everyone's posts today. Sounds like were basically pretty much stable which is always good. It's great to read your post Deb and please share with your son that we're pulling for his insightfulness and control. He and you have a whole group of ladies who understand temptation, as well as forgiveness. That he has you for a mom is a blessing. You have been wonderfully patient, without putting him off. That is truly a mentoring role, Deb, and one I hope to follow in.May those covers fine their way to you, to snuggle in and warm your body. May our joint prayers for one another kindle the glow of our souls.((Hugs))Tender

Hi Debbie, I looked at the sky and thought how lucky we are to be able to pray for each other. I went to a hospital to have a test and they usually have bible verse pamphlets and I was told some in a different state bought them. I felt sad that some people wont know the loving and caring God we do. So I want to let you know I will never stop praying for such a wonderful person as You! God bless you, Angel Hugs, Other Debbie
-
Deb, You are amazing. You keep trusting in God and keep going on. I am so encouraged for you about your son. It's wonderful that he apologized with feeling for your hurt. I continue to pray for his complete release from the addictions. Also, lifting you in prayer for pain to be lessened for you, and I agree with Faith, for miracles for you and your family. Blessings and gentle hugs.
