Hi everyone!
Here are the videos from the 'Concert on the Hill' that I posted on youtube. I have never posted a video before and I am not sure how to get the it to play here, so I will just give you the links:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BC4RCz_vI0&feature=user
My apologies that the video and audio is not the greatest, but it will give you an idea anyway! I am the one on the right, my DH Greg is in the middle, and my friend Maureen is on the left playing guitar. Her DH Al plays percussion but you can't really see him because he is kind of behind Maureen (he is a little shy).Enjoy! I am going to try to post a couple more tonight!

Kristin,
Thank you for posting those songs--they were awesome--I gave it a 5 Star Rating! Nice to see this, and feel like we were "almost" there. I cracked up with "Do You Know The Way to Ischua"! Hope you can do that again next year and I can join you all!

I am having crazy thoughts. What if I drove to Pinkstock next year. Dh and the boys could go with me on the trip there and then dh could fly back to work when he needed to. To save money on hotels and camping we could stop at my nephews in Albequerque and my sisters in Oklahoma. Maybe I can even get her to ride the rest of the way to New York and back to Oklahoma with us. Dh would never let the boys and I go 3000 miles alone. I could even enlist the help of other family members. My sil is in Denver. My mil lives in Nebraska. Maybe I could pick her up at some airport and she could ride the rest of the way with us. Hmmmmmmmm, the wheels are turning now. Would any of you like some guests for lunch or a sleep over in your backyard one night? How about a ride to Pinkstock? Of course then you may want to go home while I visit with my family. Maybe gas will cost under $4.00 a gallon next year. I can take about 3 weeks off without to much trouble. The boys would have so much fun and learn so much on a trip like that. Okay now you can all tell me how crazy I am.
Okay MB here we go again.
-
I did that one year BMD...my three sons and I drove across and back...my DH had no vacation so met us in NY for his hs reunion...I think my boys were 15,12, and 10....we really did have a grand time!!!
-
I don't know BMD. It was over 2800 miles round trip for us and there is no way I could have done it by my self. I am flying next year. On the other hand, look at SoCalLisa, she really enjoyed her long trip. You have plenty of time to decide. Or, are you starting the count down already? LOL
Gosh, I really wish we all lived closer together so we could see each other more than once a year. If any of you snow birds (hehehehe) want to visit sunny Miami let me know and I can make arrangements. We could call it......hmmmmm...Beach Stock...or anything else you prefer.
-
Odalys..I think it ended up being over 7,000 miles for us...but it was
priceless..and yes, I drove every mile of it...
-
I brought it up to dh tonight and he actually thought it was a good idea. I talked to his mom and she said she would probably be willing to do some of the ride along. My sister said it was to far away to talk about right now. I have made the trip myself 3 times but that was almost 30 years ago. I spent 2 hours mapping out my trip this afternoon. Crazy.
Odayls-I have plenty of sunshine right here. I dont' think Miami is in the cards for this family. Your welcome at my house in San Diego anytime you want to come. We even have a motorhome for Steven LOL.
-
BMD. I am here laughing my a** off.... the boys have already mapped their trip out too.. DH even talked about flying..and so did TIm... but all of a sudden they realized what time your DH called neighbor, he probabluy doesn't even remember the phone call...lol
OK the family says why not, so unless someone else wants this, I will do it again...lol.. all the campers are lined up....
still trying to look at the pictures.. uugghhh .. I do hate my dialup...
looking for me in the total fairy look.. my dad wants one...
thanks MB

Hi Friends ! I can't wait till next year. I plan to be there, no matter where it is. I was too much fun to miss !
-
MB,
So glad you plan on having PINKSTOCK again next year!!! I think there are several of us who heard about it too late, and would have loved to have been there. It sounds like you all had a great time, and the pics were awesome. I love listening to the band on YouTube also. You all rock!
Barb, I am so glad you plan to be there next year also, as....and I cracked up over this..."I was too much fun to miss!". I know what you meant, but that was cute!
Hope to see everyone at the next PINKSTOCK!!!!
HUGS,
Kathy
-
MB-I wonder what time that was. I don't remember. We are ready for some east coast visitors anytime. Our motorhome is parked right out front. All we need to do is plug it in. Please come to MB. Once the boys are in school I can spend time showing you around. Are we having fried turkey next year? That was soooooooo good.
-
BMD-since I live in Washingston state I would be willing to share the ride and cost with you....I can drive pretty well too
...I dont have any idea what the mapped out driving trip looks like but I could fly into somewhere and you could pick me up on the way....
Just an idea, as I plan to ATTEND 2009 Pinkstock too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
jpann-that sounds like fun but you do realize I will have 8 and 10 year old boys with me? I have looked at the possible routes already. As the time gets closer I will have a better idea of which way I am going. A lot depends on if my sister or mil is going to ride some of the way. I will keep you posted though.
-
Kathy, I can't believe I typed that !!!!!! I'm glad you knew what I meant, ( But I am a Fun person !!!)
-
Barb,
That 's so funny. You are too good to miss, so I guess I'll have to be there next year!!
Cherryl
-
I agree, Barb is too fun to miss! LOL
