MB,
In planning a cross country trip, look to include a stop in Oak Park, IL. Guest room and lots of floor space available.

MB glad that you got off the hill for a bit.
Neesie glad that you and DH got home safely, My DH sure enjoyed chatting with your hubby.
Valerie, glad you are home safe too.
We are in Niagara. We walked to the American falls and around in Niagara - we are to tired t go to the casino tonight.
Here is another picture of the rainbow - there were lots of tears and just holding each other. The shirts on the lines are the ones that Valerie and Vickie helped the kids tie dye.
Here is a group picture Sitting: Madison, Neesie, Vickie. Standing: Barb, Brenda/BMD, MB, Valerie, Naniam/Brenda, Kristin

Thank you MB for having us, and thank you ladies for being the wonderful caring sisters that you are. I enjoyed meeting you all. It will be a memory I will always cherish.
I saw the rainbow as well. Just as we were approaching the Canadian border......there it was. I couldn't describe how beautiful it was and how it filled my heart, as all of you have. Thumbs up girls.

Dear MB,
Thanks a million for hosting this event. I can't believe how much you and your family did for us. God has blessed y'all with GIANT hearts. We had such a great time meeting everyone and our hearts are filled with so much love. Count me in for next year. I am already making plans to book the hotel early. Sorry both Steven and I turned out to be such city slickers. We have never been camping before and are not used to roughing it outdoors. DH is used to it. He is so happy he went and got to spend the day with the guys at the car show. He is already making plans for next year. hehehehehe....I think he caught the Pinkstock fever. Steven told me he had such fun and really enjoyed meeting all the children. He absolutely loved making smores by the fire. He thought the fire was soooooo cool. He was not too crazy about the bugs and the fact that we could have bats flying into the camper. He is not crazy about the Fl bugs either. I am sure he will remember this trip forever and will have some good laughs when he is older. We stopped by today to say goodbye but everyone was gone. Sorry, we overslept. I didn't knock on your door for fear you would be napping. I know you must be exhausted.
God bless you and your family for all that you do. I am sure HE will reward you big for your generosity! If you are ever in Miami just know "mi casa es tu casa" We love you sister!

A message from Kevin to all...

This past weekend was spent with an incredible group of people. My Angel was part of that gathering and so too was her son and all her sisters, their children, other halves and significant others. You, the sisters, are all remarkable women. The time I spent with you and with your families and in particular husbands and significant others demonstrated that there is a remakable bond amongst the group, and to be permitted to participate in your community was a blessing for both me and my son. Husbands and significant others, you reaffirmed my faith in us. The respect and admiration you hold for this incredible group of women, that I heard in your comments and voices is what our boys need to hear and understand. I know they will and I am grateful that my son, Luke, was able to spend time with you all and I look forward to seeing every one of you again. To the sisters, I will never again look at a rainbow or butterfly without thinking of you and for that I thank you all... -
Wow...what a nice message from Kevin! Ladies, it sounds like you all had such a WONDERFUL time, and thank you for sharing it here, with all of us. Enjoyed seeing the pictures, and hope to see more! MB, what a special gal you are to host this amazing event...and all that you and your family did for everyone. I am so thankful you all were able to get together--such caring sisters in such a wonderful setting....I am also still hoping MB will want to host the event again next year!

Good Morning FRIENDS ! What a GREAT weekend. MB I can't thank you enough, for being so generous and giving. Your family is great. We had a wonderful time, that my DH or I will never forget.
It was soooo nice to meet everyone. We never met before, but it was like seeing old friends ! Can't wait till next year. We left MB's about 10:30, and didn't get home till 10:30 last night !! We stopped a a sculpture park on the way home, We were going to stop at the Corn Festival, but it way way too crowded. We ended up at the beach with some friends, watched a beautiful sunset, and listened to a band. What a fun-filled week-end we had.
Kevin, your post brought tears to my eyes. Vickie is blessed to have you and your son in her life. Luke is so cute. Hope to see you again next year.
I still have to get my pictures onto the computer---then I'll share ! I took 59 pictures !!!!
Love you all---thanks for the memories !!!

Brenda (naniam) I thought you said you only knew 2 stitches. here you are teaching what you do know. I think it is great. I will try to make plans to attend next year.

Ladies - just wanted to share this email I got from Terry this morning.
OK ladies - I emailed Terry thanking her again for taking the trip with me - this was her response-
Val,
I am completely exhausted! I haven't felt this good being this
exhausted in recent memory. You don't need to thank me - I need to
thank you. I truly was my pleasure to be included.
I just gave little Nancy her gifts from the "girls" she was so pleased
and happy. She wanted to make sure the scarves were nice for the women.
I told her that everyone was thrilled with all of it and the scarves
were beautiful. Most definitely will pass it along - unless you want to
send it to her directly - Nancy_Fonte@Liz.om.
Kevin beat me to it, I was too busy on the phone with my sisters, mother
and girlfriend telling them all about this most wonderful group of women
and how much I enjoyed my weekend. Of course my sisters and mother
already know how much you mean to me and were happy to hear how great
the weekend turned out for you and all of your Sisters. I wanted to
make sure that you told all the women how much this meant to me to be
able to participate in this weekend. You are all magnificent and strong
women, I am in awe of all of you. You all humble me with your love and
support of each other. Your families are a wonderful reflection of your
love and devotion. I wish you all well and health and happiness. Thank
you.
Love ya always! -
Oh, I am SO sad to have missed Pinkstock this year but I'm really enjoing seeing the pics!

Ahhhhhhhh....no bugs! Hehehehe

Hi gals, now that the big rush is over, you can get a US passport in about 3 weeks. Online, print out the application, get 2 passport photos (now, the drugstores do it and some WalMarts). Go to the post office with a money order, cash, no checks, the 2 pix, the completed apllication and your birth certificate. VOILA! Passport!
AND next year, we will meet in Paris, France!
Hugs, Shirlann

Hi everyone. What an awesome experience this has been. I am so happy to have had the opportunity to participate this year and wish you all could have been there. What an experience! From the minute you drive up the hill and park on MB's yard you know you have reached an amazing place.
MB is the most loving and generous person I've met. Her DH, kids, and grandkids go out of there way to make sure everyone is having a good time. Her husband and sons gathered most of the men and took them to a car show. My husband had the best time. Did you guys know MB collects cars? She loves her car babies. I'll dig up a pic and will post it later. Thanks for all that you've done for everyone this past weekend. You rock!
Nannie is as sweet as I thought she would be. She is like the mother hen making sure everyone is okay. I love you dear sister. Thanks for letting me cry on your shoulder! My DH really enjoyed talking with your husband. We may come and visit you in the Carolina's one of these days.
Vickie is fun, kind and sassy. She has a great sense of humor and a huge heart. She has a way with the kids. I love you dear sister. Thanks for your kindness.
Valerie (Livestrong) is so friendly. Meeting her is like saying hello to an old friend. She has a way of making you feel so comfortable around her. She also has a quick sense of humor. She and MB stood at the top of the hill waving the flash lights so we could find MB's house. What a riot!
Neesie is so much fun. She is upbeat and loves to go around hugging folks. She is also good at keeping track of small details. Yes, she went around making sure everyone signed plenty of thank you notes.
Madison is a real classy lady. She is gentle and sweet. I just loved talking with her. I felt like I've known her all my life. We southern gals tend to stick together. LOL
Barb is fun, fun, fun. I can tell she is probably adventurous. The song "girls just want to have fun" comes to mind. I just have a sense that if we had met in high school she would have been my partner in crime. hehehehe
Blue what an amazing and beautiful lady you are. We were so worried about you and were missing you then you showed up and the entire hill felt your presence. You brought us such joy and really touched our hearts. You are one determined lady...can't believe you brought us a cake from Canada and waited two hours at the boarder just to meet us. Thank you!!!
Kristin is sweet with a beautiful voice. I had no idea she is so young.
Brenda/BMD is a riot. She made us all laugh.
Thank you dear sisters for being who you are and for touching our hearts forever! There is already talk about Pinkstock 09. So, save up and plan early it's one of those experiences you won't want to miss.
Love and hugs,
-
Thank you for sharing the pictures and what a wonderful post by Kevin! Loved seeing the photos and reading the comments. It looks like the kids really enjoyed it too!

Our 6:00 a.m. flight out of Binghamton to Detroit and on to San Diego turned into a 1:00 p.m. flight out of Elmira to Philly. We are still sitting in Philly waiting for a 5:55 p.m. flight to San Diego. The early flight from Binghamton was cancelled for no apparent reason. We got up at 4:00 a.m. to make that flight. Needless to say we are tired but every minute has been worth the fun and joy we had in New York.
If we ever get home I will post more.
-
Yuck Brenda...........It's 6:01p now, so hope that plane took off! Safe travels!
Neesie
