Wishes for Slonedeb

sleep tight tonight, slonedeb............................
-
good morning slonedeb...........
it's Friday. has your onc gotten back from vacation? any news to share? how's the pain? what news do you have about the spinal tap? any reports yet from scans?
my brain is filled with questions, but my heart is filled with admiration -- for your zeal for life, that you would submit yourself to the continual probing and inquiry, in an effort to learn more and find answers for other sisters who will walk in your shoes.
i see my onc today, just to monitor my tamoxofin -- no huge deal, but just a reminder that my walk continues...... i've been taking that pill for a year now
a lot's happened in that year. i'm so grateful to have gotten to know you better as this year has unfolded.
be kind to yourself today............. think healing thoughts, know that you are never alone.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
hope to hear a few words from you soon..............

hugs and prayers for you tonight my sloneKYdeb..............

Blessings to you today, Deb, and to your family. The dog days of August are here, with hot heat and little action. Summer days like this remind me to tell my teens and their friends how much I love and/or care for them. It's their future and sense of community this country depends on, and like yourself, I'm pushing to take the time to let them know they mean the world to us.Like Faithandfifty said, we water our gardens and see them grow. In summer, we all need a little extra watering. I hope your day is one of strength of mind and courage: I think of you as I go about my day, trying to emulate such too. We're sisters, Deb.Prayers for you being sent to Kentucky,Tender
-
Thinking about you Deb and praying you get your answers to the questions you are asking.
And thank you Lord, for Tender and her beautiful posts in support of those like Deb, who need her to be with them and show them the way to get through each day! Tender you are a gift from above to Deb and us all. Thank You.
Hang in there and keep praying Deb, we're holding you up with our prayers too. Gentle {{{Hugs}}}
-
Our dear Deb we are all setting on the edge of our seat waiting to see a post from you. We all seem to come here first to see how you are. I know we are having a real hot weekend so hoping you are staying cool enough and remember to hydrate.
Lord bless our dear sister Deb. Let her feel a gentle hug and renuiance of strength. Lord we know you always are always close. But I know she is in need of a sign from above all is well. So we praise your holy name Father God..... AMEN
-
slonedeb, just back from church......
there was a song about how God knows our struggles and counts all our tears, holding us up, holding us near....... i thought of you the whole time we sang and prayed for your story, for your family, for your faith to be strong in the face of all that you are enduring.
i'm so glad that there are so many offering prayers on your behalf.
my youngest came home last night & we're gonna get reacquainted..... haven't spent more than a couple of hours with her since Christmas, so it will be a fun couple of days -- before she ventures off to her 'real life' again.
i pray that your children gain insight and consider how their actions effect you.

Deb I miss when we don't see a post from you in a few days. You are going to have to teach hubby how to log in and update us. I am sure you are staying in with all this heat around. We had a lil rain last night and it was nice to listen to it come down . Even hearing the thunder reminds me of Gods power. Listen to some music that is relaxing . That is a wonderful way to spend the day. God bless Deb ...
Faith I bet you and your daughter talked late into the night. Enjoy.....
-
Deb, praying for comfort for you this day - body, soul, and spirit. Lord, please, gently minister to Deb and her husband. Let them know you are there, that you care for them, and just how much you love them both. Give them the grace and the endurance that this day will require, and let there be a blessing in the day, where they can both see your hand in their lives. Minister your love and wisdom to their children, touch these children's hearts and let their hearts beat with your kind of love for you and for their mother.
-
It's another morning. Really beginning to wonder how you're holding up slonedeb. I agree with kbug..... can you get your hubby to come on and give us an update? It's so great to come on this morning and read all of the prayers and sentiments for you.
I can't even begin to imagine how difficult your days must be. I am so proud of you for doing your utmost in this challenging time -- to keep your faith strong, thru your friends who remind you of your life journey and neighbors who visit to keep you company..... and I picture that dear hubby of yours grilling something to entice you to eat.
I wish you a calm morning and a peaceful afternoon..............
know that you are never alone....... remember our steph: "God is able."

Deb she is right God is able. I saw last week a man who is a survivor of cancer who has amazed dr.s. I have known him a few years and you would never know all he has been thru. He shared his story with me a few years back. The tumor was in upper mouth he has a artificial upper mouth. If he takes it out you can really see way up .Oops not to gross you out just to let you know that God still heals. He really boosted my spirits. So I am praying you are relaxing and just not been in here. I love you and send hugs.... God bless dear....
Dear Heavenly Father thank you for this day. To be able to come here and pray for those who we love and care about who need a miracle. Lord I believe your word. So I lift all my dear sisters up in prayer. Lord you know what each one of us need. Thank you for all our many blessings. Amen
-
slonedeb, no sign of you here........... i came on with my fingers crossed
missing you, sweetie, eager to hear how you're holding up
sending you a lovely night of deep sleep and happy angels keeping you company thru the night!

Much thought through the day of you Deb. Prayers said that you derive sustenance from your garden here, opening each day in the sun in unison bloom for you. May you have painfree days, with family surrounding, and a caring, attentive medical staff.Much affection being sent your way.Tender
-
Good morning, dearest slonedeb....... the day starts with new possibilities waiting in the wings.
Know that all of us are gathered together, holding your name in our hearts and in our prayers. We are fortunate to know such a brave and heroic fighter -- against this intruder that we've all encountered. You blaze a trail with your willingness to continue the fight.
Know that when you are thru with your fight there are answers and angels, and wholeness and wellness of a dimension we can only imagine at this time. I trust you'll keep fighting until you decide that the alternative looks too inviting...... and then we will all rejoice in your flight. I will always remember your strength and courage, even amidst your willingness to share your concerns and frustrations.
I pray to Heaven to bring you just exactly what you need for today.

Deb hugsssss. I am sorry for the loss of your friend. Her kids were not with her but God was there. Deb you have been busy. We are going to hang tough in our fight. I am glad they got the rod in the leg fixed. Tell those tumors to flee in Jesus name. The mountain must move.... Tears can help us feel better like a cleansing . Your faith did not leave it was needing a boost . We all need a new touch. Could you send me your address you can post in private messages here. I have something I would like to send. May you get the chemo on time and it to do its job. Deb we all love you and miss seeing your post but we understand some things we can't control.
Dear Heavenly Father I know you are sovereign. I ask for a special blessing for our dear friend Deb. Thank you for all you have brought her thru and know you are always by our sides. I know you work thru drs also Lord so I ask that dear Deb get the best chemo for her need. We praise you merciful Father God.... AMEN
-
Oh so good to hear from you, yet shocking news on your leg and how painful that must have been. Condolences on the lost of your dear friend; no one should die alone, you are so right Deb. I pray though that Angels caught her before her fall, and lifted her soul to the heights where sisters welcomed her. How sweet of you to think of her in repose, Deb, and I'm sure she feels those tears as cleansing and longing. As Bug says modern communication still fails and then we rely on memories and faith. May your bone knit together, may your pain pills work, and may you feel even when alone, our support for you.Tender
-
oh slone of patience and persistence.... yet more to contend with........ we should nominate you for sainthood, for wading thru all of this........
I am so sorry to hear of your dear friend's passing. Of course that is a very somber reality to face in the midst of your own treatment and the trials presented. I'm glad that you've had good cry's.
I agree that it's good to get some of the pent up emotion out thru tears. Or screaming, Or a pillow attack. Or throwing glass bottles into the recycle bin and let them smash into smitherines (my personal favorite.)
Will continue praying on a continuous loop...... begging the heavens to grant you mercy and that the treatment would make headway.
We are always lifting your name up. THanks so much for taking the energy to post and let us know what's happening for you. Glad that it was the internet that was interfering for a while. We become so dependant on it.
Be brave my sloneKYdeb, be brave. You are teaching so many by your example.

slonedeb and slone-supporters...... we are safely in our get-away haven in the great north woods.
it was a HUGE trip. slonedeb, we made a detour and stopped at "SAINT's" home -- I bet you remember her from chat. we got to visit together for a couple of hours and I showed her how to get here onto the 'boards.' she sends you her prayers and gentle hugs as well.
it's so much fun to meet people in person after chatting/visiting here for a while.
tender, i just love your messages to slone, but always savor them for myself as well.
kbug, i hope that you're enjoying this week and now the olympics!!
slonedeb, know that we are here praying for you all the time -- that you may have peace in the day's unfolding.
i'm going to get out my bike and take a ride!! since this is my first day 'back' i'll take it easy.
love love love and yet more love

Today you get your chemo, I believe Deb. And today is the opening ceremonies for the Olympics like kbug says I think. Maybe they will have this on the TV. For me, this is a welcome distraction to the heat and slowness of August, and a welcomed view of China and it's people.Gosh I hope your hanging in there Deb. You've got a full plate, and I hope you're getting good pain relief and attention and help. I send you my caring, Deb. It's all that I have to offer, yet I think of you each day as a close sister, as I'm sure do all the other sisters here. Please know we are with you in spirit and hold you very close in heart.((Hugs to you, Deb))Tender
