I LOVE YOU, TOO!! slonedeb, you've come to mean so very much to me in this year that we've gotten to know each other.... it's getting closer to a year and a half! considering that we've never met, it's amazing to know how much we all care about each other.

thanks for taking the time and energy to post here..... it means so much to us.

    A thought from Psalms:

"The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles." Psalm 34:17

"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings: that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy."  1 Peter 4: 12-13

Hi Deb, it's evening now, and so I wanted to stop by and let you know I'm holding you close. I'm praying for you Deb, that your faith stays with you, and with me. This disease tests us mightily, and I'm stomping down the devil at the door for you. I pray your doctor has addressed simple needs to keep you comfortable, and hope your family is near.

Take care, Deb. You are very special to us.

Good to hear from you, Deb. Guess we're both just chillin this evening. Sorry you are so tired, Deb. Are you able to drink protein drinks or Ensure or such to keep your calories up? Those pain meds are sure to make you drowsy too, but sleep does help restore our immune cells. Sorry too about the facial numbness. That must bother you, a feeling we're not use too. Must be careful not to scratch yourself, your eyes in particular.

I'm just glad you're back from chemo, safe and sound in your house. Maybe you'll visit the chat room if you have the energy.

Thanks for the prayer, Deb. I never turn down a prayer or a kiss or hug.

hey slonedeb.... we're back from a little overnight adventure to meet up with SAINT from chat and her family. They live about 5 hours from us -- so we met in the middle and stayed with friends of their's. We had a very nice time and were able to go to an art gallery walk together. She says hey!! I'm hearing some thunder off in the clouds -- so hopefully we'll actually get some rain. We need it up here.

Congrats on making it thru another chemo day. I'm sure it must be exhausting just to get there and back for your treatment. Praying for you that she is able to figure out what's going on with your face.

Continuous prayers. Yesterday before we left I couldn't get connected to the web. Know that I am always praying for you. Kick some cells into oblivion.

Deb hold on dear friend. We will make it. I had a wonderful day with my grands one was in a fashion show. She is only 7. But also was a sad day. My sister called this morning her hubbys niece who was 46 was kidnapped and was missing. She was robbed at her store in texas. Well I got the call a short while ago they found her body. My sister is like now I have to go tell my hubby they found her. I am sad for that  family that lady will not see her kids or grands again. They have it all on video of robbery and they caught the young man . He did not have to do this. See Deb we worry about this disease getting us when there are other things lurking around out there. So keep looking up that is where our help and strength comes from. I love you dear friend and always keep you lifted up in prayer. God bless.....

    good morning, slonedeb

here's a Psalm portion to start the day:

"Let all who run to you for protection always sing joyful songs. Provide shelter for those who truly love you and let them rejoice."                                          (Psalm 6:11)

Let us work to sing joyful songs amidst the peril and challenging circumstances that life on this imperfect planet present. Reading of Kbug's niece is just devastating..... such a senseless loss of life. I pray for that family in their loss.

I pray for you slonedeb, our Alaska deb and all the other debs and sisters who are fighting this fight. Let us run to our creator for protection -- singing joyous songs, even thru our tears, fears and frustrations. Our God alone knows of the sorrow in our hearts over situations that are unresolved and making us weaker.

I hope that you can find comfort in the hours of this day.

    Good morning to you Deb.

Just wishing to stop by and say hello, remind you we're all here pulling for you, all of your many friends. We know you're tired, may be more difficult to post, but never are you far from our thoughts. A special acknowledgement of your dear husband and children, as they help ease this time of discomfort.

I hear a storm is southeast of you Deb. Maybe you might get some needed rain to help water your garden and parched earth. We all need watering in life to sustain us. You have watered us, and we are watering you.

Much care being sent south to Kentucky,

slonedeb...... I always feel so delighted when I read a post from you deb.

I know it sounds like you are truly drained from the current treatment. Know that we send you calm comfort and energy to bolster your reserves.

Whenever I see Alaska Deb, Puppy or Z I will tell them you are praying for them. We have a strong network of women -- caring for each other, holding one another up and offering encouragement whenever possible.

Last night we went to a concert of Dixieland Jazz. They played "When the Saints Go Marching In" with such talent and enthusiasm and upbeat swing..... it made me cry. We have lost too many sisters to this beast and of course we are one a course to lose more. YET the way that they played the piece gave me such happy hope. They were tears of joy.

love to you for this day.

faith - that must have been a powerful performance.  I think we are all saints and angels to be dealing w/ bc.

Hugs to all on this day.

slonedeb....... another Psalm portion..... to remind you that we have been crying out for mercy and healing for as long as there's been recorded word.

"Have pity on me and heal my feeble body. My bones tremble with fear, and I am in deep distress, How long will it be?"   (Psalm 6:2 -- New English version)

I take this as evidence that people have cried out in the midst of their pain and their fear for generations upon generations -- without ever losing their faith in a Creator who cares about us.

So go ahead and cry when you need to..... and CRY out whenever you have the urge.

We all gather here to pray for you and lift you up.

I hope that you are able to rest. Please do whatever you can to take good care of yourself. My best to your husband as he does all that he can in these difficult days.

    Dear Deb from Kentucky:

I have been following your brave story since I began lurking here in March. You are surrounded with love from around the world, and I hope you are gaining strength from that.

And your grass should be blue!! I know you aren't in the Bluegrass per se, but it's a Kentucky state of mind, right? I grew up in London, not so far from you, and I wanted to send you kissin' cousin hugs~~~and a virtual mint julep!

    Blessings upon you.....

Wonderful prayer, your words and deeds, Deb; reminds me of Matthew 20 of the Bible:

"But whosoever would be great among you shall be your minister;..even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many."

Prayers especially tonight for DebC and Deb from Ky.
