Wishing you a good evening, Deb, with your dear husband, maybe tv and good book. Soon you'll have the Dems national convention to watch, which surely will show animated politicians and delegates, and lots of confetti and balloons.I'm rather looking forward to watching the party! Hope you're feeling o.k. tonight.Tender

Morning Deb. I am also keeping Alaska Deb in prayers as all the others. We must stand on faith each day and fight on. Zaro was on the other nite and I told her you were thinking of her. She was some better in how she felt. I pray you are feeling better. I had my chemo yesterday. When I got there my bp was high 183 over 125 and had to have meds twice to lower it to get chemo. So I am back on bp meds. High bp is part of se with avastin. I felt fine no headache at all. They were worried I would have a stroke. It is a bumpy ride isn't it ? But am so thankful for God who loves us. You are showing the world you can battle and live on. Keep praying and believing look where it has taken you. LOVE TO YOU AND HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Oh my, dearest Deb, this is horrible for you! Prayers for you during this time, and hopes you will call the ER and tell them you continue to vomit blood and return. Has anyone called a GI (gastrointestinal) doctor, so he/she can evaluate your esophagus, stomach etc? Please ask DH to stay near, so he might help.Prayers for better resolution of this, Deb. Know you are held very close in thought.Tender
-
oh slone........... I'm so very sorry to learn of this latest development. Tender is so very knowledgable about all developments and side effects. If your onc can't see you -- then it seems that the ER is the next best stop.
I am so so so sorry that you are in such discomfort and pain. I am just amazed at how you can be typing to us -- in the midst of such.
I will pray that there is some intervention to bring you some relief.
you have my deepest admiration, dear friend

Hope you are feeling better Slonedeb.

-
slonedeb......... thank heavens that you're suffering at the hands of strep -- certainly no picnic I'm sure, but sounds like a battle that can be fought.
I, too, would love to hear about your cabin. If you remember tell us all about it. Just the sound of the word "cabin" conjures up a cozy place to me. I hope that you are able to make another trek there and soak up everything good.
We saw a funny play last night. It was good to laugh together. See if you can find something to laugh about -- just for the fun of it.
strength and courage, strength and courage, strength and courage, slone

slonedeb: It's the weekend. Happy Saturday. I hope that brings some 'change' to your mind at least -- relief from trips for treatment -- at least for a bit.
are the meds working for your strep? i'm praying they are working overtime.
much love winging your way -- with every prayer, every wish, every thought and idea.
-
Well, a long Saturday here, but wished to drop by and send some good wishes your way tonight, Deb. How are you doing? Any better since starting the antibiotic? I've been seriously hoping that they work a little miracle for you, as you sounded pretty ill. I know you were scheduled for chemo yesterday, and I wonder if that was held because of your problem. We're all praying for you Deb. Knowing these days have been tough and hoping you may get up to the cabin yet this summer. It sounds lovely, and change is always refreshing.Trusting you feel our devotion, and know of love from heaven above,Tender
-
Morning Deb. Wish to stop by and give you a big cyber ((hug)) from us all, that your day is low on pain, and infection is clearing. I don't know if you're getting any needed rain from Faye, or if you managed to take a brief road trip.Lots of blessings and prayers being said today for you by my family, as we celebrate too my daughters birthday. What a blessing to me.Tender
-
slonedeb: starting my day with thoughts of you..... always wanting the very best for you in the midst of your struggles and pain. i love to read tender and kbug's insight -- as well as all of your other well-wishers. it's so reassuring to me, to be aware of how we are all connected.
i'm hoping that our cumulative prayers are adding up to the angels surrounding you with mercy, the antibiotics working wonders, and your family and friends surrounding you with their love and care. know that we are all so proud of you for the valiant fight you wage here among us.
i just opened my Bible and here's where it landed:
"We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and spiritual powers in the heavens above. So put on all the armor that God gives. Then you will be able to defend yourself. And when the battle is over, you will still be standing firm." (Ephesians 6:12)
slonedeb, you are fighting a battle indeed and you are being defended by all of the prayers here, so that when your battle is over -- we will all celebrate that you did, indeed stand firm.
my hugs added to all those above: ((((((((((((((((((((slonedeb))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Deb I am so sorry. We are still praying for all your family. There is nothing like a praying mom and I know you are. Stand firm in your faith. Never back down . I wish I was there to give you a hug. Do not let this shake your faith. You are strong and in the Lords army. Look at all Job went thru. I am praying right now for this situation. Hugs and Love to you .....
-
slonedeb......... what an incredible load you are carrying. i am so sorry for this additional mess, on top of all the other that you are managing.
thank all that is good that you had your dh to add stability to you in the midst of such turmoil.
i am so saddened that they have stolen your place of refuge from you. i can understand how you would indeed be heartsick.
BREATHE deeply, my friend. i too will pray that your children have an epiphany -- or are struck by a lightning bolt of insight (as it sounds like that may be what is necessary.)
focus on yourself. focus on your health -- mental and physical. focus on the good that you can see with your own eyes.

slonedeb....... thinking of you this morning as I start my day.
Just got off the phone with my daughter (the mother of the twins, who are now 4 months old) and she's got some sort of unknown growth and her doctor's sending her to the hospital for tests later this afternoon. They think that it's possibly a cyst of some sort????
We mothers are always full of concerns for our babies -- no matter what their age, no matter what their story.
Your example of faith in the midst of the many unknowns is offering me strength today, as I am so far away from her. You are such a caring individual and I'm so grateful that you've shared your journey with me -- with us.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

slonedeb. I'm always so grateful to see a post from you. Thanks for taking the time and energy to stay in touch with us here.
I just got off of the phone with my daughter and she made it thru the tests ok. They will be interpreted and results in the next day or two. It's nothing like the concerns that you have for your children, but I'm very grateful for your extra prayers, Deb.
Know that I believe our prayers are heard. I believe that everything works out. I'm sure that's a stretch for you to imagine right now, slone, but I just gotta believe that angels are working overtime on your children.
I'll continue my prayers too.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx
oh, before I forget..... I'm gonna be traveling at the end of the week -- probably with a couple of days without the internet. I don't want you to be concerned about me. I'll be praying for you in the old fashioned manner. Take care. Keep doing anything and everything that lifts your heart.
