Delta variant - FLCCC updates prevention protocol
I learned this week from a local ER doctor that our hospital is now using the FLCCC's protocol for treating Covid-19. Most of us have never heard of the FLCCC. Their protocol involves prevention and early treatment for Covid, regardless of vaccination status. I do not hear this information anywhere else, and I wanted to know everything I could do to protect myself and loved ones, especially during my 7 weeks of radiation and daily doctor visits.
Here is the update on the Delta Variant. https://covid19criticalcare.com/
Once on the website, you can scroll down for the Weekly FLCCC Update.
IMPORTANT UPDATE TO FIGHT THE DELTA VARIANTOur medical team strengthened the I-MASK+ prevention & early treatment protocol to counter the new COVID-19 variant.

There are ivermectin formulations for livestock and humans. Neither is a treatment for COVID. Even the manufacturer of ivermectin says there's no evidence and it may be dangerous. The possible side effects are scary. Don't take this.

I want there to be a cheap, side effect free medication that improves Covid19 outcomes as much as the next woman, but wishful thinking and anecdotes, even those perpetuated by some doctors and scientists, just don’t cut it for me. If Merck, the manufacturer, is urging folks not to use it to treat Covid19, I’m going with that. Shoot, if it really worked don’t you think Merck would be thrilled?
-
They would make so much money if it really worked. This Big Pharma says it doesn't work. I believe them.
-
what? this is happening at an actual hospital, not a private clinic?
-
Maybe the hospital is treating actual neglected tropical diseases?

moth - It seems people are getting it prescribed by doctors. If it's to "treat" COVID, they should have their licenses pulled.

exbrnxgrl and serenety make very good points. I just got my covid booster (Moderna #3) yesterday. Felt pretty flu like yesterday, but went to work today and got quite a bit done.
As someone who lost my mother to Covid in May of 2020, I understand how horrible this disease is, and how much people can want to do anything to protect themselves and others from it. I would give anything to get a hug from my mother right now.
As a molecular biologist, I understand how the mRNA vaccines work. They are brilliant in their simplicity, and very safe. Like a virus, they'll trigger a few cells into temporarily making a protein, which will then get secreted into the blood stream where the immune system will see it, determine it's foreign, and make antibodies against it. It's one, but only one, and a benign one of the proteins the virus makes, so now the body will recognize it when the virus comes along. mRNA is very short lived when there is nothing to make more of it, and there isn't in the vaccines. These vaccines are the best protection we have right now.
I cannot recommend worming agent against a virus, and as exbrnxgrl and serenity point out - apparently, neither can the manufacturer of the worming agent.
Love to all, and please be careful.

We'd like to share the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) information here on Ivermectin and Covid-19, in case it is helpful.
Why You Should Not Use Ivermectin to Treat or Prevent COVID-19
-
Exbrnxgrl, I am not totally sure what you said, but I am certain that I agree 100%!
-
JKL,
Was I writing in English😂?

Are you sure it's an ER doc and not an urgent care clinic? There is a clear distinction between the two. This is the wiki regarding the founder. It sounds like he is an expert in his field, but he is also prescribing regimens outside of federal and international recommendations for patients outside of clinical trials.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Kory
"The FLCCC contends ivermectin could reduce viral load and accelerate recovery in patients, while the World Health Organization, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and European Medicines Agency advise against the use of ivermectin outside of clinical trials."
Mods have stated they don't want misinformation regarding Covid on these boards. So, putting it out there that it would be strange for an ER doctor to follow the protocol, unless they were doing it in private practice like an urgent care setting. Can you cite the hospital, so those of us who live near you know what kind of treatment theu will receive and whether or not it's an approved regimen?

Good one, exbrnxgrl! Thanks - these days it’s nice to be amused rather that frustrated!
-
Title of this topic is amusing. They need to change their protocol since ivermectin doesn't work and it's for animals
-
There is a human formulation, but it's to treat tropical diseases. Maybe they had scabies? 🤔
I've seen articles about some COVID patients demanding to be treated with ivermectin. They're crazy.
