Yes and sadder yet Miriandra is that we really need not have things like the veteran happen at all save for the un-vaccinated who share big responsibility for getting all of us in this predicament. Nothing at all seems to make a difference to the group of people who have been told crazy theories they are only too eager to believe. I can't imagine paying allegiance to an un-attractive, overwt. con man full of mental deficiencies just because he has enough vindictiveness to hurt people you yourself may be glad to see hurt.
I'm not too happy with many people but I wouldn't subscribe to a certain party or leader just to see what looks like the downfall of others. Karma can handle that w/o much help from me I believe. These people are quite short-sighted because if covid gets them and it easily could it will only prove to me me who and what they are and were and I won't be giving it much thought past you got what you were asking for.

14 Portable Morgues Headed to Florida
Posted: 28 Aug 2021 07:33 AM PDT
The novel coronavirus surge in Florida shows little sign of slowing down, and hospitals are continuing to struggle to keep up with the massive influx of patients. The Orlando Sentinel reports that 14 portable morgues are being driven into central Florida as hospitals have run out of room to store dead bodies. -
Professor Retires Mid-Class Because Student Won't Wear Mask
Posted: 28 Aug 2021 05:58 AM PDT
A University of Georgia retiree-rehire professor resigned on Tuesday after one of his students refused to properly wear a mask in an upper division psychology seminar class held at the psychology building. ... The 88-year-old psychology professor [Irwin Bernstein] explained to the student that he could die from COVID-19 due to underlying health conditions such as Type 2 diabetes, hypertension and age-related problems, Bernstein said in an email to The Red & Black. Only about 15 minutes into the Tuesday lecture, which consisted of Bernstein taking the student attendance, he asked the student to pull her mask up again, but this time, the student did not respond. -
Free Lunch Doesn't 'Spoil' Schoolchildren
Posted: 27 Aug 2021 07:32 PM PDT
The school board in Waukesha, Wisconsin, recently made a strange decision. They opted the school district out of a federal program "that would give free meals to all students regardless of family income," the Washington Post reports. The reason? According to one school-board member, children could "become spoiled."Some one has their head way far up where it doesn't belong.

Simply give others a bit of yourself; a thoughtful act, a helpful idea, a word of appreciation, a lift over a rough spot, a sense of understanding, a timely suggestion. You take something out of your mind, garnished in kindness out of your heart, and put it into the other person's mind and heart.

This is good, and I did share it on Facebook:
I don't post about this much and certainly everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but this sums up MY opinion.
I'm vaccinated and, no, I don't know what's in it - neither in this vaccine nor the ones I had as a child. Mandated, May I add?
I don't know what's in the fast food, or for some in the hot dogs, or in the meat that I top my favorite pizza with.
I have zero knowledge about what happens molecularly in treatments for cancer.
But I promise if I had cancer, I'd listen to the medical experts.
I also don't know what's in Ibuprofen, Tylenol, or other their off-brands, they just cure my headaches & my pains.
I don't know what's in my shampoo or even many deodorants…. as long as I don't smell like
.
I don't know the long term effects of cell phone use or whether or not that restaurant I just ate at REALLY used clean foods and washed their hands.
In short ...
There's a lot of things I don't know and never will…
I just know one thing: life is short, very short, and I still want to do something other than just go to work every day or staying locked in my home.
I still want to travel and hug people without fear and find a little feeling of life "before".
As a child and as an adult I've been vaccinated for mumps, measles, rubella, polio, chicken pox, and quite a few others; my parents and I trusted the science and never had to suffer through or transmit any of said diseases.
I'm vaccinated, not to please the government but:
* To not die from Covid-19.
* To NOT clutter a hospital bed if I get sick.
* To hug my loved ones
* To Not have to do PCR or antigenic tests to go out dancing, go to a restaurant, go on holidays and many more things to come ...
* To live my life.
* To have my kids go back to school and play sports and be in activities.
* For Covid-19 to be an old memory.
* To protect us.

WebMD:
Insurers No Longer Waiving Out-of-Pocket COVID Costs
By Ralph Ellis
August 23, 2021 -- Americans may be hit with surprising bills in the future if they're hospitalized with COVID-19.
While vaccines and testing are still free, many insurance companies are no longer waiving out-of-pocket expenses for people hospitalized with the coronavirus, the Kaiser Family Foundation reports.
Early in the pandemic, 88% of people enrolled in fully insured private health plans would have paid little or nothing out-of-pocket if they were hospitalized with the virus, the KFF said.
As highly effective vaccines became widely available, however, about three-quarters of health plans have ended the practice, the KFF said. Costs are being passed to the consumer.
The KFF said it found that 72% of the two largest insurers in each state and Washington, D.C., had waived cost-sharing for COVID treatment. These 102 providers represented 62% of enrollment across fully insured individual and group markets, KFF said.
About half those plans ended cost sharing waivers in April 2021, when almost all U.S. adults became eligible for the vaccine, the KFF said. About 10% of other health plans will phase out waivers by the end of October.
Out-of-pocket costs were waived during the early part of the pandemic because hospitals and health care workers were overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients, the KFF reported.
"Insurers may have also wanted to be sympathetic toward COVID-19 patients, and some may have also feared the possibility of a federal mandate to provide care free-of-charge to COVID-19 patients, so they voluntarily waived these costs for at least some period of time during the pandemic," KFF said.
When widespread vaccinations began, health insurance companies no longer faced "political or public relations pressure to continue waiving costs for COVID-19 treatment," the KFF said.
"As more waivers expire, more people hospitalized for COVID-19 – the vast majority of whom are unvaccinated -- will likely receive significant medical bills for their treatment," the KFF said.
The typical deductible in employer health plans is $1,644, the KFF said. People hospitalized with pneumonia, which requires treatment similar to COVID-19, paid an average of $1,300 out of pocket, KFF said.
"Although this is a large amount to most patients, and could be an incentive to get vaccinated, it still only represents a fraction of the cost born to society for these largely preventable hospitalizations," KFF said.

Every act has its effect. To do nothing is an act that stems from feelings of hopelessness and despair. Please remember, no matter how dark the future looks, you can make a difference. When you live the true life you were sent here to live, the difference you make will enhance life rather than destroy it. Do not spend time worrying how big a difference you make. Anything that enhances a life makes a difference; helping one individual recover from a broken heart; easing one person's pain; helping one ugly duckling discover his or her beauty. Keep working as long as you live, and live as long as you can, and when you finish your marathon they will hang a medal around your neck that says, "You Make a Difference."

Thanks for that piece too, Ruth. We'd all like to think that maybe that would spur some people on to be vaccinated, but for the most part it isn't likely. I still cannot fathom those who are so willing to die to PROVE they are not going to allow the government to dictate to them, or to own liberals or whatever their foolish reasons. I mean, really!! Is this the only thing you'll ever want to make a difference about ?? My vision is that the majority of these people will just fade into general oblivion ( mainly perhaps only remembered by their own loved ones ) because everyone left will be working hard to put the pieces back together -- so it will have been for nothing.
Glad Ida is backing off in category, but that is another huge issue. All the hospitals so full already of those ill with covid. I simply can't imagine. Someone said that Pres. Biden ignored the storm, but he sent thousands of ambulances and food and water in advance. I'm sure there will be other help as well. In the meantime, Bartiromo is hoping K. McCarthy will institute the 25th. on Biden. Such a foolish woman whose credibility left long ago. The former guy, if nothing else, should be highly remembered for all the insanity he was able to turn loose with the Reps. party. Hope they all lose their careers and wouldn't mind if a huge amt. of them ended up in the hoosegow.

I still say what a way to reduce the Republican party.
By the way, Mr. Anti-Vax is a conservative radio host, was 65 and spent three weeks in hospital before he succumbed to covid. He tweeted right before he passed about the Nazi government trying to mandate masks and or vaccines. I have to say he held out till the bitter end before he died of his hoax.

Ruth, good post on reasons to be vaccinated.
I told my sil this weekend that I am not one declaring “if it’s my time to go, I’m ready”. I live a good life even with stage iv bc. I sure don’t want to live all these years dealing with that only to have Covid take me out. I will do what I have to in order to protect my life and those around me. I have so much to live for. It seems many anti vaxxers dont assess their lives the same way.
Another point to make is people put stuff both in and ON their bodies not knowing what’s in it. Every day, million use soap, deodorant, face creams, body lotions, shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, muscle cream, burn cream, anti itch cream, Vicks, lipstick and the list goes on. The body surely absorbs countless chemicals on a continuous basis from these products yet there’s little concern from many what the products are made of.

Illinois - thank you for the post of the Ivenmectin bottle. Just needs to add a picture of an Ass. Some local animal feed stores report a run on it and some have posted large signs that it is not intended for human use. A new DR on the local health district board promotes it, but adds that he only prescribes the human version, he also claims vaccines have killed thousands, but does not talk about how many people have died from Covid, that ICUs are filling up.
-
Wouldn't you like to ask that Dr. Blue Girl, just which vaccine was it that killed thousands, and as you mentioned. he also seems not to want to want to hint accidentally even, at the number of souls that we have counted gone since the pandemic began and the number being saved because they were vaccinated. I also would like to see his research or list of competent researches he may use, that opine that human Ivermectin is the proper cure for covid. How many times can you sigh before you have no sighs left.
