How these people get to say such idiotic stuff w/o being laughed out of town is beyond me.

About how it is working out. Better come up with a solid plan pretty quick because the coddling is getting us nowhere fast.

BREAKING: Indiana woman gets probation in first Capitol riot sentencing
A 49-year-old Indiana woman was put on probation Wednesday in the first sentence stemming from the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. Anna Morgan-Lloyd pleaded guilty to a single charge of illegally demonstrating at the Capitol and was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to perform 40 hours of community service and pay $500 in restitution. Government officials expect similar proceedings for hundreds of others facing low-level charges.

Love both those memes. Hopefullly some roses will come back and e-humanize some of those outside grounds. There was always a bit of anticipation I thought when a speech took place in the Rose Garden.

These were not little fibs or white lies -- nothing penny ante about them.

They need to be de-considered. Have turned into meritless people.

Our rushing and our busyness create a fog layer that
encloses us, surrounding us with thicker and thicker
layers externally and building denser and denser fog
layers within. Pretty soon, we have lost touch with
that which guides our lives. We need contact with
our spirituality to be the people we would like to be.

Someone should share RevDaniels' message with the American Cathoic Bishops group. They are supposed to be the disciples of God; not God.

Ruth -- that's a wow on my part about Giuliani. He'll have to go to Florida now I guess -- and hope the orange guy knows him. Then again, I'm not sure the orange guy can afford him. Well, as much as I've enjoyed not having to feel daily droppings for the orange one, I've also enjoyed the relative silence of a few of the others. Nunes, Melania, Giuliani, Mark Meadows and very much so Mike Pompeo. The whole crew was pretty hard to take. I'll have to go read up on the happy news.
Love the Rev. Daniel poem.

As was said: Her cornbread is not done in the middle. For sure...

I wondered about this ( Giuliani ) and about other's too. I imagine a lot of the Reps. secretly hated having to hide their true feelings and inclinations for such a long time. I think they at some point became absolutely giddy over seeing what the orange thing got away with and that has produced a lot of risky behaviors in them.
Giuliani got his come-uppance for it and I hope there are plenty more who do as well. I think ( hope ) that this loss will go farther at some point with Giuliani and the rest of the assorted minions of the Trump Idiot Patrol.

We all have choices to make about the quality of our presence and how we will affect those around us. The quality of our presence is dependent not on what we can or cannot "do" but on the essence of who we are and how we relate to others.Becoming the presence we would like to be is an intentional work. It grows while we make peace with ourselves and with life. -Sallirae Henderson

A new intelligence report sent to Congress on Friday concludes that virtually all of the 144 sightings of unidentified flying objects documented by the military since 2004 are of unknown origin, in an extremely rare public accounting of the U.S. government's data on UFOs that is likely to fuel further speculation about phenomena the intelligence community has long struggled to understand.
The report — the government's first unclassified assessment in half a century — does not offer any definitive answers on who or what may be operating a variety of aircraft that, in some cases, appear to defy known characteristics of aerodynamics, and that officials believe pose a threat to national security.
The Pentagon, assisted by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, found no evidence to indicate that they mark a technological breakthrough by a foreign adversary, or that the objects are of an extraterrestrial origin — though neither explanation has been ruled out in what officials have described as a preliminary assessment.
"Of the 144 data points … we have no clear indications that there is any non-terrestrial explanation for them. But we will go wherever the data takes us on this," a senior U.S. government official said.

Well, if we are being "watched" and or "evaluated", after the last four yrs. I'd expect we may find out that they nearly laughed us right off our own planet. It boggles my mind as to what beings, whom I would think of as fairly intelligent if they came from another far off planet, might then to have watched what we all went through this past four yrs.
If that were so I hope they are thinking now ( with Pres. Biden at the helm ) that there is hope for us.

Any fairly intelligent being from outer space would take one look at us and keep on going!!

A lot going on today while I was working. Chauvin got his sentence of 22 and 1/2 yrs. Less than the 30 asked for but pretty substantial since it could have been much, much lighter. While I wish he had a lot more than 30 that is not how this works. I do feel that it is of major importance that for once a WHITE policeman got a hefty sentence for the murder he preformed. It was deserved for sure and I hope ( you never know about some people ) that it may serve as something of a deterrent to those who it seems have acted with impunity for some time.
Much needs to be done, but I worry about what seems like a long list of important items and where changing law and the blatant racism that allowed a 'George Floyd' to happen might fall. We need more covid attentions, the infrastructure, more jobs, ACA repaired, and very much so laws passed that will help 'fix' and or get into place the For The People Act along with the John Lewis bill passed. It sounds like DOJ could be quite busy but I sure wish there would be some sort of re-set on this need to defend Trump by the DOJ. He abused and mis-used the DOJ and I think he does not truly deserve recognition from them as such. He and Barr as well. Well, some things will just have to play out.

While I don't think of HRC as vindictive, my sense is that it probably is a satisfying sensation to know that the predictions she made about Trump were mainly right on the money and to also see some of his minions and soon possibly him, get put in their place.

Or, watch out what you sow because the harvest will come in.
