This should have caused a few people to do some grinding of the ole' molars.

My hand is so high it is tickling clouds in the sky.
and I must say -- just looking at these two, the one on the left is so much more light-filled, refreshing and astonishingly human to the nth. degree. Nice to see someone who doesn't have their eyes stretched almost to their hairline. I don't know -- Trump just looks like a sour ill-tempered wanna-be-something but out-classed all the way. Maybe part of that comes from making a statement by being nearly un-clothed. If they are looking there maybe they won't notice the emptiness in the eyes.

I believe that the first test of a truly great person is one's humility. I do not mean by humility, doubt of one's own powers. But really great people have a curious feeling that the greatness is not in them but through them. And they see something divine in every other person. -John Ruskin

I would say he got what he didn't pay for and tried to steal -- tossed for someone who wants to help us and have an absolute familiarity with ethics and morals.

Would that were true but Mitch McConnell was born on 2/2/42; Donald Trump on 6/14/46; Mike Pence on 6/7/59 and Paul Manafort on 4/1/49 (how appropriate for a fool to be born on April Fool's day). Nice joke though.

The ideals which have lighted me on my way and time after time given me new courage to face life cheerfully, have been Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. . . . The ordinary objects of human endeavor--property, outward success, luxury--have always seemed to me contemptible. -Albert Einstein

Ruth, I for one love that and frankly while the dates might be off, it makes a fair amt. of sense. WE are indeed beset often with people who have strange mental encumbrances that don't have good answers since they otherwise seem as if they should be a normal as apple pie and they are so far removed as to be frightening to sane people.

I only hope it works.

This was a surprise for me to read. I had no idea. I did read earlier that the rally speech was definitely NOT full of the steam and excitement that is usually present. It was said that a lot was re-run type material with the usual conspiracies intertwined. It just really lacked energy. It is a person who has been mainly relegated for the far back row. That doesn't mean he can't continue to incite those who are only too willing to turn to violence at his veiled behest. But it was not a well carried speech with Fox News giving a mere 20 or so seconds. I hope this means that the media who played a huge role in the beginning of his time have learned to not give him the very thing that feeds him to the point of passion.
Update: Trump Did Not Wear His Pants Backward
Donald Trump made his return to politics in North Carolina, but what got all the attention were his wrinkled pants that appeared to be on backward.
Read more »JMHO but I sort of thought -- wow !! If you don't have the creature comforts of Air Force 1 you may get rather rumpled and wrinkled on your way to your rally. I do hear there are lots more to go on schedule although I've heard this first one back, was more a disaster then anything else and I wonder how his 'handlers' might feel about trying to prop the orange up out in front of the world at large again.
There really hasn't been any good news for Trump since the 2020 loss. Now I'd like to see the Reps. start losing in lots and lots of big ways. City, State, and Federal.

It looks like he has a My Pillow stuffed down his pants!
-
Yes he does and I really don't see the zipper and the balloon look of those pants is just plain weird.

Steve Schmidt must have seen this report. He seemed to feel we needed to really go for broke however we could so as not to let the Reps. get ANY upper hand.
Democratic Report Raises 2022 Alarms on Messaging and Voter Outreach
Posted: 06 Jun 2021 06:36 AM PDT
A new report, in perhaps the most thorough soul-searching done by either party this year, points to an urgent need for the party to present a positive economic agenda and rebut Republican misinformation. -
Wow, the former guy is hard to look at. It may well be a MyPilow stuck in those pants, Ruth! Haha! What a contrast his fat ass is to trim and fit President Joe Biden who was out riding bikes with Jill on her 70th birthday earlier this week! Joe’s physique is not mentioned enough in the press. He often wears really nice looking suits that fit well. Unlike the former guy.
I always notice men’s suits in the media. NBC news anchor Lester Holt wears really nice ones. I love a sharp looking shirt and tie and snappy shoes to go along with the suit. We’ve had a welcome break from seeing (and hearing) the former guy these past few months. To see him now, in comparison to Biden, who’s image has been seen consistently since January, the orange blob looks frumpy, outdated and like he’s wearing a clown suit! He’s so 2020.

Whatever our individual troubles and challenges may be, it's important to pause every now and then to appreciate all that we have, on every level. We need to literally "count our blessings," give thanks for them, allow ourselves to enjoy them, and relish the experience of prosperity we already have. -Shakti Gawain

Divine, count me in on so enjoying not having to look at or hear the voice of the oddly orange other guy who tried to act like a president, but who remained always the misfit he was, and still remains. I read another piece -- was it in Politico or Politicus or Palmer that talked about the so recent SC rally. Said Trump was rather slumped over, slurring at times but lacked any real enthusiasm for this speech. It was a semi-replay of grievance and conspiracy -- but the tone was a loser's tone. No spark of real enthusiasm at all.
I think for now we will be treated to way more 'other' guy than we want, but at the same time I think every time he opens his mouth he hurts the Reps. party more. He is, was, and will be always for himself. I think that has made it almost always impossible for him to ( so to speak ) be on the same page as the Reps. he represents. He is on his page and it has been them that have had to make the adjustments. That I think is what makes much so un-workable. They are in greed and power mode, and trying to keep the 'orange' voters, but that doesn't leave you with a lot. I do worry about the fact that some Dems. strategists think from what goes rt. now we will lose more House seats. I hope that realigns, because we are not in a good place right now. Mainly with Manchin and Sinema who are the biggest drawbacks of our moving forward. We so need to pass more legislation completely in order to have a fuller amt. on the board for 2021 mid-terms.
I do think Pres. Biden cuts quite a figure. The other guy always looked disheveled and in ill-fitting clothes. Oddly, the only things that looked decent at all were the golf clothes of all things. Then again, it was more the 'real' him. He was a fraud at playing president, but golf not so much. He cheated to be sure, but in a golf game it did not much matter.
Just as wonderful as Pres. Biden always looking sharp and 'cool', is our first lady. I still have feelings of horror that someone like Melania Trump represented womanhood and femininity in the WH. She was nothing but a gold-digger who had illegalities attached to her name ( gr. card designations ) when she met the other guy. Two people using each other. What a great WH duo. Pray God we have all learned ( even if so many Reps. are still struggling with it amid power and money desires ) with that.
Your right, Divine. The orange one is just so awfully and I do mean awfully 2020. Little golddigger is there too.

Big surprise, eh !!!

If you haven't seen these, they're hilarious! They're from Ryan Reynolds' advertising company. xD
