LOL Devine. We do everything here that you do in Ohio, except shovel snow. There's more to this state than fantastic beaches and over priced theme parks. Check it out sometime. ❤️😎❤️
Been here 35 years, no way will I ever move back to Cincinnati. Don’t even like to visit, haven’t for 14 years.

ruthbro - your posts make me smile. It never pays to argue with the bathroom scale.
Today I am contacting my representatives to let them know how I feel and how scared I am for our country. Will it do any good? Probably not. I think some are too scared of Trump and his supporters and maybe hold hope that he will steal the election. The others have their nose so far up, they will never see the light of day. I might write a letter to the editor as well. What can we do to help get the train back on the tracks?

As far as Mississippi seceding, didn't they already try that over 160 years ago and we know how that turned out. Unfortunately the sense of white entitlement still persists and to that I say, well, bless your little heart.

Spookie, many hs classmates of mine hightailed it to FL or the west coast after graduation and a lot of people around here love to vacation in FL. I've been to the state numerous times and enjoyed the visits. But I'm a 4 seasons gal. I lived in Los Angeles for a year as a young adult and never grew accustomed to palm trees. Also lived briefly on the border of TX and Louisiana but was not fond of the heat. But Ioved the experiences. The beauty of the U.S. always amazes me and I love to see how people live elsewhere. Have been to places like Vegas, Nashville, Mt Rushmore and am frustrated that Covid cramped our collective ability to travel much. I still want to see Chicago. NYC was high on my list to visit and when I finally did, in the middle of dh and I cramming as much sight seeing in as possible, he turned to me and asked, “So what do you think?" I smiled and said, “I feel right at home." I really did. I fit right in to its energy. All that said, I find one of the most beautiful states is Virginia; Skyline Drive through the Blue Ridge mountains and Shenandoah National Park was very spiritual for me.
I'm still very nervous about the court challenges and stopped reading the news because it stresses me out.Trump was so gleeful to get Barrett on the SC believing her to be his ace in the hole and I pray that it is not the case, that he could not be able to pull that rabbit out of the hat.
We keep each other well informed on this thread, but I know many people who are not as invested in political discussion were surprised when Trump challenged the vote, including some in his fan base. They thought it was over and then he came back to life like Glenn Close in the final bathtub scene of Fatal Attraction and they are cheering him on. I'm hoping the Dems legal team can be the Ann Archer character of this scenario and deliver the decisive blow to his presidency once and for all.

From the little I’ve seen, the repulsive have filed 6? suits, all dismissed. I thinks there is a few more pending. The Dems have filed to make the woman in charge sign off on Joe’s win to free up resources and $$.

Seems as though that while most of the Reps. we discuss here KNOW Trump lost and will have to go, they still need him somewhat. They want to get those two Senate seats ( not as much as we do ) out of Georgia and they cannot afford to upset Trump -- so they are just letting him go on and think that one of lawsuits can actually land him something. To date, unfortunately w/o evidence which is nowhere around it is just going to get your suit dismissed.
You'd have to be Trump to think you can just have your lawyers file a suit with nothing what-so-ever to back it up. But then he thought he could just tell Bill Barr to put Joe Biden in jail. What for ?? I don't know, breathing maybe !!! I remember such a very long time ago although it is only four yrs., but in the beginning when Kelly Ann Conway first let go the term 'alternate' facts. Most of these people seem pretty comfortable there in that world.
I hope some time soon, Mitch McConnell will have to un-wind and tell the GSA to sign off on allowing the offices, funds, briefings and all else that new in-coming presidents are to receive. I think it really only increases the negative feelings people have about the Reps and all their far right antics. I know we are going to get there, but Trump's mental vindictive imbalances won't be satisfied too easy. I hope those around him will be able to talk him down from some of them.

These are great after an absolutely shitty day. I needed the "Be Best", the guinea pig with the hobo's crook and Pence as DJT. Thank you for the laughs and tears.

Trump's hair was the best. I needed it, too.
