I am not sure what I will be doing Tuesday night. We normally have my kids over for dinner, but think that may not be a good idea. My DH is a staunch Republican and cannot stop watching the results. My DIL is totally opposite. We had quite a discussion last night about trickle down economics and how that doesn’t really work. It ended well. No hurt feelings or name calling! I like the idea of wearing pearls and might have some champagne handy. I do worry it will not be over for several days and hope everyone stays cool headed.

Not sure this guy even cares about losing the election or his seat. He already got what he wanted. A slew of judges ( many un-qualified ) through the states on the courts there and now the third SC judge. If he has to leave government he is old and will be happy with his bragging rights. Never mind they are a disgrace to him, the Senate and the U.S. In fact, I hope it becomes something for him that won't cause bragging but dejection for the derision I hope he receives on a daily basis.

This is about it:

and as a bonus he gets the feel-good adoration from the lost souls like him that he can't seem to do without.

Oh don't I hope with heart and soul:

pupmom, I love those blue pumpkins!
And Jackie, that meme with the pencil eraser is just wow, and unfortunately true.
While I'm hopeful we vote Trump out Nov 3rd, we still have to tolerate him until January 20. Is he wanting to hand Biden the hugest mess, the biggest mess, it was an amazing mess, no one ever handed over a bigger mess ever? I honestly believe there’s a good deal of truth in that, and who knows what hell kind of havoc Trump will create in his last days. He will make a farce out of handing over the reins. No nice letter left in the Oval Office desk drawer. I would not even be surprised if he didn't show up on Inauguration Day. He will find ways to taint yet another United States tradition like he's done with so many others.
Someone on social media said, after the Omaha fiasco, that Trumps supporters would jump off a cliff with him even if he was the only one who had a parachute. That pretty much sums up Trumpers.
Octogirl, it is nice to hear from you and thanks for the insight on your poll watching experiences. It is great getting first hand accounts about how things are at ground zero, so to speak.
Serenity, I hope there are many more Wisconsins like your friend's husband who formerly leaned Republican but are voting for Biden 2020!
I am on the fence about buying champagne ahead of time. I still remember not drinking my celebratory bottle, bought for the 2016 election, until New Year's 2017; it was a let down. I do not drink very much or very often, but when I do, I'm a day drinker and I would love to start out the win, hopefully November 4, with a champagne breakfast, consisting mostly or completely of champagne, and stay slightly toasted all day long. So that might mean an early trip to the grochery store.....

I don’t know what I’ll do. Can’t go to dog park to kill time, stupid time change this weekend. Dark about 6. I can’t drink any kind of alcohol. Gonna be too warm for hot chocolate.
Guess I’ll just try to ignore all the news outlets till Wednesday morning. Riiiiiggghhht. 😂

I don't dare jinx it by planning anything special. I will just hang out in my RBG shirt and pray/knock on wood/cross my fingers/poke pins into Cheetos.......possibly eat ice cream right from the carton.
-
I like the way you think, Ruth. I may have to go buy an extra large bag of cheetos.😁
-
I'll be at my local precinct from 5-7PM, acting as a poll greeter. Want to make sure that the last person in line at 7PM gets to vote. I'll pick up a pizza on the way home. I just don't know if I can put on the news. I may check in here. Remembering how I went to sleep 4 years ago, and woke up with such horrible news,,, Having such anxiety about what will happen. I want it to be over,, I want us to win, and win bigly!!
-
And that John Cooper tweet above,,, yes,, that makes total sense. He feels he is going to lose, so he wants to hand Biden the biggest mess ever.
I can hear Trevor Noah imitating him now: "I left him the biggest, the most beautiful mess. No one ever left another President the kind of mess that I did. It was the best mess."

I was gonna have my chocolate bars on Tuesday to cheer myself if things go south OR to treat myself if they go our way. But I've been digging into them a little so may have to order more.
Thing is, I was keeping it healthy with high cocoa content bars and just Stevia for sweetening and these things are ---- CRAP.
I know I shouldn't be saying this as they are not only NOT too bad for you the GOOD of cocoa is there.
But they are--ick. I'm sorry. Can't help it.
I want Kit Kats......M & Ms....Reese's cups....
Grrrr.........

Yeslama--that was cool!

Here's the latest as of Wednesday 7:pm EST.....
I keep looking at those No Party Affiliation voters.....I hope, since they aren't party people, that they've brought an objectivity to the voting booth, and cooler heads--certainly cooler than those of slavish Trump followers who would vote for their guy even if he were shooting at THEM in the middle of Times Square. Hope this time around they objectively see the writing on the wall and want to end this national nightmare.....
-
Devine - buy some orange juice for the fridge. That way you could make an emergency Screwdriver if you don't have champagne to make a Mimosa. Edited to say - I agree. I don't want to jinx anything either.
-
My sis sent me this link....it's not got the political thing but is funny...funny and gross....only thing I'd change would be to put a Trump head on there...
-
DD is a music major. She said Toccata en Fugue, written by Bach, was church music!!!
-
Divine - We always keep a bottle of cava or prosecco chilled so we're ready to celebrate at any time. Though sometimes we just drink it. 😁
Yeslama - That's funny!
Trump abandoning his supporters at the rally shows how he doesn't care about them suffering hypothermia or contracting the virus. Makes no difference to him. We know this. That his supporters accept or excuse him is pathetic.

Jesus wept.... never thought I'd say I feel sorry for a Rep.....he treats people like shiiiiittttttt!
