Wonderful memes, wonderful everything ( info on McConnell ) and once again wondering ( M. Meadows hoping news would not get out on positive covid so close to Pence ) how in the world at this late date the Reps. think they can keep secrets when there is so little chance that key people won't be missed. By this date everything that takes place on both sides is getting the utmost scrutiny.
Trill, I especially love the picture of Pres. Obama with his hands up and smaller pic of Trump saying if Joe Biden wins, he is the candidate of needless death. I know there is a word for it, but Trump never, ever sees that he projects himself onto others as though it is a given. I can read about it and understand it, but watching it ( Trump making these statements as though he is not totally immersed in the results of the action ) and trying to hand if off onto someone else just floors me. That anyone, and I do mean that side, can with a straight neutral face can go along with the charade will always be mind boggling to me.
How often we all wish for something other than what is and in the case of Trump, were it possible, he'd have been erased at least after his first yr. Sigh !! Just the Trumpian Age, but I'm the first to hope and pray that this whistling while you work becomes wails and crocodile tears amid massive regrets on Nov.3rd. and thereafter. I hear rumblings and I'll be looking for more of how little will be left of the Reps. party when the smoke clears.
-
I gotta' say -- knowing how trump feels about reading which he does not do well, he looks so wrong in this picture. Lost in a world he doesn't know.

So many great memes today!
Trill, I am Santa's representative in this household, so there is no need to put pictures around the house. LOL. I am wondering if my 32 year old niece who is in the coffee business would like the little miniature coffee shop 🤔
-
Trill: Don't forget the bathroom mirror and the bedroom pillow. LOL

Trill & Ruth - Santa always, always brought something for the adults in the house. As the resident Santa, it was my chance to buy something I wanted just for me. Well really, how would we have explained to our children that Santa doesn't like Mommy? Now that I'm a 'senior' and live alone, Santa still brings me at least one gift every year.

Hello all! This looks like my kinda place, except for the fact that since RBG died I have done a near-total news hibernation (except for COVID, which I need to monitor closely on a daily basis for work, and wildfires which are near my family-of-origin).
But y'all seem fun, as fun as folks can be in such scary dark times.
AND< I have searched the PBS store and absolutely cannot find the little bookstore! Could someone post a link?
Thanks!

Love how Santa treats you ladies!

Below is an excerpt from an interesting article about how the Democrats are painstakingly working to make inroads in the south. One incredibly impressive fact: Since she lost the governor's race in Georgia, Stacey Abrams and her voter rights organization, Fair Fight, have helped register more than 800,000 new voters in the state.
*
'This is not magic': Democrats work to make inroads in the South for the first time in decades
"You'd sometimes have a good candidate run, but they had no capacity to raise money or get involvement from the national party. That's changed now," one Democratic strategist said.
Oct. 24, 2020, By Phil McCausland
*
Despite the political convention that Republicans hold a secure grip on the South, Democratic candidates are polling competitively in North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Texas — which together account for eight Senate seats and possibly the balance of power in the chamber.
They could also help usher in additional Electoral College votes for Biden, though many experts remain skeptical whether Democrats can achieve a blue wave.
Still, Georgia races have grown increasingly tight in the past few years, which is why it remains the main target for Democrats. Since losing the state's race for the governorship by only 50,000 votes, Stacey Abrams and her voter rights organization, Fair Fight, have helped register more than 800,000 new voters in the state.
Rev. Raphael Warnock, the leading Democratic candidate for Georgia's Senate special election, is Black and the pastor at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, a pulpit made famous by Martin Luther King, Jr. He sees hope in the new Southern demographic. He worked with Abrams to register those 800,000 voters and noted that 49 percent of them are people of color and 45 percent are under the age of 30.
"This is not magic," he said. "It's hard work over time, and it's a deep commitment to the noble idea that your vote is your voice and your voice is your human dignity."

This opinion piece is truly worth reading: We Will Not Forget by Leonard Pitts, a columnist with the Miami Herald originally from 10/20.
You did not stand up. Granted America faced neither enemy bombers nor terrorist plot, but the threat to her was - still is - no less real. Your country needed you. And you did not stand up.
You told yourself party was more important. You told yourself the courts were more important. You told yourself tax cuts were more important. And you convinced yourself you could put up with his bluster and bullying, his lies, his hatefulness, his bungling, his complete unfitness, if that was the price those things demanded. You could keep your little head down, nod a lot, say as little as possible and, when pressed, pretend to believe the unbelievable, support the insupportable, find no offense in the blatantly offensive.
Your Country Needed you. You Did Not Stand Up....
Ending with ".....So let this be the message from the American majority to Trump and his enablers.... We Will Not Forget... And We Will Not Forgive"
Hope you can access this since I couldn't copy the link from the Miami Herald w/o a subscription

Just in case I found it on a left news journal that I know nothing at all about, but the article is so good, I'm putting the link here again just in case. https://www.arcamax.com/politics/fromtheleft/leona...

Trump is such a "projector" that I'd bet if you spread his butt cheeks, you'd find an HDMI port.

Minus Two: That is a wonderful piece. So glad you put it in. First one opened for me so I didn't try the second.

YeslamaDragon--Welcome! Happy you found us! I don't know how to get links or post them but here is a screen shot of the page that the PBS email I got sent me when i clicked it...it's a DIY kit in the Kids shop....one of several....I am in love with them all! I hope this gets you there.
Ladies, i am getting very close to ordering one of these...
-
They messed up big-time...but instead of saying that---THEY BLAME IT ON THE VIRUS! ("Naughty virus! How dare you!")
-
Trill, order away! We need to do things we enjoy, and can do safely, during this horrible time!
So.....
1. We have given up on controlling the virus.
2. The head of the Pandemic Task Force is NOT following his own recommendations of quarantining for 14 days even though 5 of his closest advisors have tested positive.
3. Campaigning is an 'essential service'.
4. The unmasked Trump is fist bumping and signing the hats of his unmasked fans up close and personal right as I type.
**I feel like we are living in the Twilight Zone.

Welcome, YeslamaDragon. It’s always nice “seeing” new people join our ranks

Great article from Leonard Pitts Jr!
Welcome to Yeslama: Here's a link to the bookstore kit: https://shop.pbs.org/HY7606.html
If you put DIY in the search box, you will see other options too. I'm loving the greenhouse.
I put on CNN to see Pence speaking in Kinston, NC, my Mom's home town. UGH!! Isn't he the head of the Covid task force? Sooooo, shouldn't he know that he needs to isolate for 14 days??? I just can't imagine the many more cases there will be from tRump and Pence speaking at so many rallies across the country.
-
Ruth-- You have talked me into it! So I will send the bill for ALL of those little kits to you because I can't decide which I like best! So get ready! LOL!!
-
No way no how am I taking a Trump vaccine.........they can just shove that one up their conjoined asses.....
P.S.

About the New Hampshire paper backing Biden : Isn't is obvious those people desire to live. Isn't it obvious that they know Trump cares not one whit about them, has no reason or facts, and wouldn't give them the time of day of their life depended on it.
