Hi Annie!
I just completed my 1st week of radiation today. I'm conflicted about not being able to have all of the chemo but I physically feel so much better I am really glad that part is over.
How are you doing?

What part of chemo did you not get to finish? Radiation was the easiest part of the whole treatment plan - a pain driving an hour one way for seven weeks but not too hard.
I'm doing OK. I finished chemo last Tuesday - 15 months of that stuff. I am taking letrozole for the next five years. Some SE's from it but doable.
I hope you do well in radiation. Be sure and speak up if you see or feel any blisters. I'm a redhead - or was before chemo - and I did get a few small ones and had to sit out of radiation for a week - BUT I couldn't wear any kind of undergarment and since I hate bras and once tried to talk my PCP into writing a note saying bras caused BC and I couldn't wear one, I was happy about this!
Keep in touch!

OMG. I was surprised, beibg pretty large busted, but I found out the no bra thing is THE best! Haha
15 months of chemo. It makes me cringe just thinking about it. I am so glad for you that it is behind you! Yay!!
I got all of my a/c which makes me hopeful it was enough. By the time I got to the Taxol half of the lining of my intestines was gone. I went septic and they had to fight to save me. The decision was made for me that chemo was done. Once radiation is complete I will be on inhibitors for 5 up to 10 years. That freaks me out a bit because with treatments so far I could count down months or weeks. With SEs from the inhibitors being an unknown, years sound scary.
Take care and thanks for always checking up on me. Since feeling better I have been focused on catching up with everything I let slide. It's nice to come back to this and reconnect. It keeps me out of denial :-)

Haven't been on in a while and just wondered how you are. Have you finished rads? Don't be too freaked out about the AI's. There are some SE's but I'm doing ok on them. I had a rough patch about 3-4 months in but got through that and doing ok. Taking Claritin, walking and staying hydrated has helped a lot. I almost quit until my MO said the pills were as important as chemo. I also take gabapentin (for neuropathy but it helps with the joint pain} and ibuprofen. I hope you are doing well.
