Oh Micmel, I am heartbroken with you. Our English bulldog Sarge had to be put to sleep due to heart failure as well, it was quick but so sad.

Hubs got transferred by ambulance last nite to major medical center 90 minutes away. Since it’s a teaching hospital, I hope and pray we get some answers. BP is better but pulse still 130 and he still has instability walking.

Long day. I had blood drawn to check for mutations. We are still waiting for receptor status of the ovarian tumors and fluid. Treatment choice depends on these results. More waiting.....

So, results are in. Another mixed bag...

Bone scan- excellent, rads on says my hipbone is completely healed and looks lovely.

CT- stable/good, nothing new or suspicious.

Brain MRI- 2 new tiny spots in the right frontal lobe. No symptoms, likely radiation again, I’ll know more when I speak to my neuro onc in the morning.

Neither happy or sad, overall it’s ok though and could always be worse. So, meh.

Mae, yes meh is better than nothing but annoying that you will need more radiation most likely. I did not enjoy the extra I had in 2018 after whole brain in 2016 but you have dealt with it several times. I am sorry, I'll be glad when they kill those little bastards.

Unsure what I will do today. I am presently using the apartment laundry to wash up my 3 biggest blankets that cannot be washed here. Machines appear clean but it is just a creepy little shed in the back with some creaky wooden stairs as well. Wash will be 2.00 and I will try the dryer as well. If it is not bad, I can find 3 bucks every month between steam cleans and tossing in my own dryer to actually clean them. My other blankets are throw sizes so those can be washed in my wee bucket washer.

Wow, lucky to have done the laundry outside today because I bumped into a person who told me the plumbing had a major leak and water would have to be shut off. Filled up two buckets with 7 gallons of water for the washroom, filled the sink for washing hands. Brushing teeth, will spit into a spare disposable cup. I did fill bathroom sink to clean hands a bit. Filled every cup in the house with extra water as well. Eating food on papaer plates since I don't have many dishes for myself.

If worst comes to worst, will ask older brother to bring me some bottled water as I don't have much.

Edited to add, talked to a guy and asked for an estimate for the water, given that there dug up at the front and they took apart the front stoop, the guy said it should only be about an hour more. Ha Ha, over prepared.

Well, my province is going into an even tighter lockdown now. Won't affect me personally as I can still hang out with family as part of their household. Stores will only be allowed to have 25 per cent capacity, outdoor recreation and parks are closing which leaves me frustrated with the whole pandemic. The vaccines are not rolling in fast enough to help keep people out of hospital and US is sitting on 20 million Astra Zeneca due to the bloodclot issue which I understand but will not release any to Canada who is willing to risk it. I honestly cannot see us coming back from this and I think thousands more people are going to die. Apparently police will also stop people and ask what they are doing out.

I am able to go walking by myself outside, that is considered fine and I guess I will aim to show up at stores as soon as they open when I need to shop.

Update on my shoulder---

MRI shows no cancer per ortho (though I have the CD and having my MO/ radiologist at cancer center check it during next Monday's appt). No avascular necrosis (from Xgeva use for over 3 years). No fracture.

It does show the partial rotator cuff tear (from 2017) still. And arthritis with inflammation and fluid build up.

Recommendation: a steroid injection per radiology--- intra articular injection per fluoroscopy. I have to ask MO about that with my low white counts from the Ibrance. Then PT treatments on the shoulder.

Ortho doc said that is what she would recommend for "QOL pain control".

I wish we got a lockdown again but we're about a week or 2 behind Ontario and our PHO likes to twiddle her thumbs and wait till the last possible minute.

One of my kids is finishing post-baccaulerate critical care nursing specialty education and now is in clinical. In the ICU. With covid pts & car accidents & strokes & heart attacks. But so much covid. In my area it's like a tsunami. So many cases. We need a lockdown but we got nothing & it's nice weather & I'm imagining it will be backyard bbqs all weekend around me. Very scary because we're so swamped that hospitals are overwhelmed.

I'm waiting for my telehealth visit with the respirologist. Should be sometime in the next hour.
