Quick review, to make sure I've got it right:

Four word quote, Behavior/character trait. Not religious. Written, but not in newspaper.

Author/writer, female, no longer alive. Not poet or political.

If we figure out who "said" it, then chances are we'll figure out the quote.

queen, yes, pretty close but I need to clarify that the quote is not about a character trait but demonstrates a character trait. In answer to #9b, I said it originally was in print, but, HINT, most would not remember from print form.
