Normally smaller than a breadbox. Can be found inside or outside. Does not require electricity/batteries. Primarily rigid/hard.

Partially of glass. Not cylindrical. Not a container. No numbers on surface.

There are at least two things that you are forgetting that I can think of, one is the thing and the other is something else. I can't give you a hint without giving it away. I bet you will come up with it.

Next direction of questioning might be "what is it used for?" but trying to come up with questions that are primarily yes/no.
