Cats, cats, cats

Went to a lovely cat cafe in my area yesterday (purrfectdaycatcafe.com). Took a fellow cat lover friend who has brain cancer. A cat immediately sat right next to her or in her lap the whole time and she was able to lavish him with attention. I played with several of them, petted a few, but no takers for cuddling or sitting on my lap. We both promised each other not to come home with a cat, but it was difficult!
Loving all the cat photos!

Love the hissing booth!
We had a temporary houseguest last night. A friend called me to tell me she had spotted a pet rabbit loose near her home. She couldn't catch it. I have form as regards catching other people's escaped rabbits so she called me. Thankfully I was able to catch the sweet little soul. Via social media he was reunited with his humans this afternoon. The cats were relieved as I had the rabbit locked in an upstairs bedroom, and (for super-safety) the cats locked in the kitchen, so that there was no danger of either party meeting. Of course when anything is not normal cats are spooked, so they are really pleased to have the house back to normal now.

Squeakers going to the vet this morning. His nose is stopped up and he hasn't eaten because he can't smell anything. I hope there's something they can do to help.
-
Awwwww paws crossed.
-
Hope Squeakers has been able to get help from the vet Wren.
-
Squeakers needs lots of paws crossed. They gave him fluids and nose drops and antibiotics and a shot for nausea. We have nosedrops and mirtazapine for inducing hunger and fluids to give him at home. His blood sugar after not eating for 3 days was 77 (low). His vet discussed hospitalization which is really out of reach financially. She warned that he can't go on like this and needed to recover quickly to avoid crashing. She wants him to eat normally for a week and test him before going back to insulin.
-
Oh Hugs Wren for you and for Squeakers. Hope he gets to feeling better. Maybe he won't need the insulin anymore?
-
Really sorry to hear the news, Wren
All paws crossed the drugs help him regain his appetite. And I totally get it re financially. Vet care is expensive (and they earn it) but I can't always squeeze everything into my budget either.

Wren & Squeakers - cyber hugs
-
Thank you all so much. It gave me warm fuzzies.
-
wren, how is Squeakers doing? Hope you’re seeing some improvement. ((HUGS)) to the two of you.
-
I think he's a very tiny bit better. I'm wondering about him getting a feeding tube. He might feel more like eating if his stomach was used to getting some food.
-
Prayers for you and Squeakers. I so hope he is ok.

Midnight Louie was running around bouncing off walls and bounced of the gutter in the lanai. He is not injured, but look at the gutter.

House panthers can be so destructive! He must have had a serious case of the zoomies haha
