beautiful! Even with a mark on her lil nose! I am so glad thats over for her!
-
Thank God she's okay! What a brave, beautiful young woman.
-
Ducky ...so glad everything went well !!! She looks gorgeous !!!!!
-
Thank you...I just talked to my daughter...Mak was still sleeping..I asked if she had a good night....she said that she had some pain before going to bed....the anesthesia apparently had worn off and she was feeling discomfort......my daughter gave her a Perc and a Motrin (never heard of 2 together, but guess that is what the Dr. said to do)..........I know Makayla didn't want to take the Perc's because of all the horrible stories that circulate about kids her age getting hooked after having surgery......but I guess my daughter made her take it....
Anyway so far she is not awake....will know more later........I think many times you feel good after the surgery cause you are still "goofy" from the drugs......LOL......she said the last thing she remembers was "Sweet Dreams" from the anestitist.......LOL....
-
Molly I hope Wyatt is doing well......and all of you who were so kind to keep in touch about Mak.........love you all
-
so glad to hear your grandaughter came through surgery well, i think it is a good sign that she is concerned about how some kids get hooked on drugs, means she will be careful! Yeap, tylonel and herb tea!
-
Iris.....she took one Perc and said "don't need anymore"......she has bad shoulder pain...which surprised me...here the Doc said it from the air they pumped nto her for the laproscopic surgery.....never heard of that but it is a fact...of course you know 'me I had to look it up...LOL....so that is her biggest complaint...heating pad is working .......
Thought you would appreciate this....this is their dog Stella..she is an English Bulldog....she is playing Mommy since she came home and laid on thethe sofa.
-
yeah, i remember tummy pain after gallbladder surgery, it passed and they they said it was air. Sounds like you raised her good. Cant not live with out my heating pad
Dog looks like a living heating pad,,
-
LOL......good observation Iris.........when her Mom had her GB removed I helped her out...I do remember the belly pain, but not the shoulder...but she told me last night...Yes Mom I did have shoulder pain.........also said she thought they put enough air in her to fly a large Blimp.......and also said it isnot like you burp/fart and its gone......she said it "stays".......
Still have my GB, so I wouldn't know that......and hope I take it with me to the cemetary.....no more surgeries......LO
-
duckyb, tell her mom to get some GasX to take. It is really helpful after laparoscopic surgery.
-
Wow thanks Molly......sounds like a plan
-
As if the my life couldn't get any worse, my 13 yr old clothes washer died. Would have been more expensive to fix it, so hubby said "Not worth it. We'll get new." So my new washer comes Friday.
-
M0mmy, enjoy your new washer! I love mine!
-
Thanks Molly. I didn't go fancy, I got one that does the basics
-
Mommy...sorry your clothes machine broke down ..How annoying ...but I'm also amazed your last one last for 13 years !!!
-
Yep. Only used it a couple days a week long enough to get hubby's and my laundry done. Friday is going to be a busy day once the new washer gets here.
-
hate when appliances go bum, well i just hate to spend the money really!
-
Iris ..yep I agree ..I hate having to spend the dough on new appliances ..I'd much rather have it to spend on a meal out , or a holiday !!
Our move is exhausting ..but we now have an empty cleaned house , lawns mowed , and 2 more trailer loads from the shed t, and the chooks to move , and we're all done ! We're staying at my sister's who only lives 5 minutes from where we live for a couple of days .
-
lucy, sounds the move is .......moving along
Gee just had call from a pal, she and hubs went to visit and tour the rockies, can you say high altitude vacation not good for someone with heart issues......hubs had breathing issue which turned into heart issue and well a triple bipass. I told my pal to pick a lower altitude vaca next time!
-
Just wanted to fll you ladies in....Makayla is doing good..back to school 1/2 days......and today got asked ot the Snow Dance at her high school...I said "are you thrilled"....she said "yes now I can go dress shopping"..........I thought.......Did she just say that....LOL.......not Oh I'm so happy...but that's Makayla.....LOL
Hate buying new appliances cause the stuff they make today sucks......nothing like the old stuff...LOL....just like me.......hahahahahah
-
Got lucky, my new washer was delivered yesterday instead of today. Finished hubby's laundry last night and got mine done today. In love with the new washer, far quieter and faster with a load of laundry
-
Ducky ..HaHa ..Hope Makayla enjoys her dress shopping !!! and your right ...appliances just aren't made the same anymore ...I think most things are purposely built to break down the month after they are out of warranty ..that's what happens at our house !!!
Iris ..gosh ..what a scare for your friend and her husband ..!!! Yep good advice on the lower altitude !!!
Mommy ..glad you like your new washer ..and it even arrived a day early !
Well we are now in the place we are renting while we build ..and today we have to start unpacking all those boxes ..ugh ..
-
When we went to Vail in summer 2014, Bob got altitude sickness the first day. I didn't really, except walking uphill was a bit more effortful (and I did tear the head of my calf muscle by hiking on steep uneven terrain) . Next time we're at high altitude, we'll stay inside the hotel the entire first day.
-
chemo day yesterday, went smoothly but long day, coasting today and just back fro lunch at tgif. Funny but when i asked for check someone had picked up the tab.....could be any body but did see any one, place is close to gym so could be gym buddy
-
Happy to hear there IS such a thing as a free lunch!!!!
-
Iris ..Wow ...that's amazing !! 😃
-
yeah, now i feel guilty for not pushiing waiter to tell me who it was
My vision seems to have gotten worse overnight, timej to hit thei reye doctor
-
Me too, cancelled my last one with the Retina specialist.....not too smart considering I have Macular Degeneration...early stage, but still have it.....have had cataract surgery, and glaucoma laser.....said a lot of it caused by having blue eyes, and never wearing sun glasses..........who knew!!!!!!
-
oh and add dry eye to that, and a torn retina years ago.......with all this I still don’t need prescription glasses.......now that seems odd.......but its true.....
-
Ducky ..that's great you don't need prescription glasses ..I have prescription readers , and it's a pain in the neck ..I have them on and off for different jobs a hundred times a day ..so I'm always loosing them !
Iris ..it's time for me to have my eyes checked again too !!
