I'm home after my biopsy. The doctor biopsied two nodules, 4 samples from each. He said they do not appear to be highly suspicious... but then my bc wasn't supposed to be anything, so I'm just waiting for the pathology report. At least a week before that comes in. My neck wasn't quite as numb as I would have liked, so the biopsy on the second nodule hurt. I guess I bled a fair amount, so I'm bruised and sore. Much easier than other biopsies. I have my breast excisional biopsy on March 29th. The fun continues. I think I'll take a couple of Ativan before that one.
Now if I could just get my boys do finish their chores...
Stay safe all who are having stormy, rainy, snowy weather.
-
Poppy, I bled a lot after my breast biopsy. Not fun. Nor is the waiting part! Glad you are home though, sorry about the boys and chores.....sending gentle hugs.
-
Hugs to all who need them. Well the sun is out and I am really sick of winter now.
-
well sun is shining, birds are making a racket outside! Well they plowed my development and my car is free of snow.....the street is still nasty icey looking. Can not imagine me walking across the street to my car. Gonna hunker down.
Yeah, i am very lucky to have the neighbors that i do. I am that person the news guys always say to check on as in your elderly neighbors! But i have always been nice to others so this is sort of payback time. Course when you walk with a cane.....
-
I hibernated too today. Hubby thought that I should wait until we start getting some melting to get out and about.
-
i think it is to do some meltng end of week. Course i got stir crazy and got i my car and drove around, the lot at the gym looks clearish so that givez me hope for tomorrow
-
Sun is blindingly bright—despite sub-freezing temps, whole lotta meltin’ goin’ on. Last night there was 8” of snow atop my gas grill…now nary a flake. Gonna head out grocery shopping.
-
I'm so happy to hear everyone made it through the storm! Hopefully it's the last of the season and we can officially move on to Spring!
Ducky, I love soup too! My DH doesn't care for soup so I make a huge pot of vegetable beef soup. Half for me and I thicken the broth and make the other half beef stew for hubby.
-
Wench.......I could live on soup.......and 99% of my family were big soup eaters.they still are today......and so are my 18 grandchildren...........
-
I was never a fan of soup until I was an adult. My kids only like my potato soup. Now I love soup and wish the family did though my oldest now likes chicken tortilla soup. That's new. PoppyK, sorry about the pain and bleeding with the biopsy. I am praying for benign results. Your breast biopsy is on my birthday so easy to remember.
My Wyatt's having a really hard time. Please keep him in your prayers.
-
wow, sounds like soup is the new magic potion, remember when the boards were all about thprevee aparagus cureman?
Well refilled my nasty expensive med yesterday. At least i am not paying for it. My doc has suggested i gargle with salt water all day long to prevent the mouth sores.moh yum,,,

We are picking up my 7 and 4 year old grand kids today and they are staying with us for the night while their parents go to a wedding ..They always sleep with me , and we watch videos . Hubby gets booted to a spare room as he can't fit in the bed as well 😵

-
Thanks everyone!
Molly, Praying for Wyatt.
-
Sending healing thoughts Wyatt’s way, Molly.
Bob says that one hallmark of a great assisted living or skilled nursing facility is really good soup (will vouch for how great the soups at my orthopedic-surgical rehab center were). As we get older, it’s easier to swallow soup than other foods and it’s all about packing it with both flavor & nutrients. The big foodie hoo-hah around here is “bone broth.” Bought a carton and it was vile…until I realized it was the unsalted version. A little seasoning made it delicious.
-
Hugs to all!!
-
It's 5:20 a.m. here, wanted to say "good morning", I am still awake, but all caught up now on C~town, more later, sending my love to Wyatt and Molly especially. Gonna close my eyes now....hopefully.
-
Hi ladies. On our way to surgeon's surgeon in about an hour to see what he will do. I think about you all the time, but I just don't post. I'm doing ok, but will definitely let you know what he says.

Good news is tjat my taste buds seem better, my night time glass of wine is tasting better

Ladies maybe you can help me...a friend is going to get Chemo....its for her liver, but she did hve BC 2 times...imagine......the talk is giving her a drug called Abraxane....has anyone ever had it, or heard anything about it........I did it on Forum, but no one has answered yet...checking with my very smart ladies
-
My understanding is Abraxane is taxotere without the polysorbate 80 which can cause problems. If I had known that, I would have insisted on getting Abraxane instead of taxotere. So think taxotere, but maybe with less allergic reactions or side effects. At least that is my understanding.
Still causes hair loss though I'm pretty sure.
-
Ducky ..So sorry to hear about your friend ..she's been through a lot ....Is the liver Mets or a primary or secondary cancer
Octo ..Going to pm you about your Aussie holiday ..
-
ok so iris decided to spend some money today, bought me a lazy boy recliner, course i had to do one that has a 6 week lead time and not one in stock
But hey, need to enjoy myself a tad
