    The rolls turned out great. Put a little cinnamon in with the rest of the ingredients before the dough got mixed. Hubby loves them like that

    Gma, I second the recommendation for an alert system. You can wear the pendant under your clothing and still be able to access it instantly without advertising that you need it... until you actually have to press that button. Considering it myself as slippery-streets-and-stairs season approaches--with osteopenia and myriad opportunities (e.g., stealth kitties, shoes left on the floor in the dark, cooking accidents, etc.) for falls, a broken bone is no joke.

    Falls are one thing I am consistently asked about at CTCA. I have not had any, but they appear to be a big concern. I hear you on the shoes in the dark. In my house it is shoes period. My husband just leaves them randomly. I move them when I see them, but I am not always looking.

    Life Alert is a wonderful resource if you are by yourself often. Or if you are unsteady on your feet...good idea to be prepared on the off chance it is needed. I like Sandy's suggestion

    I followed the suggestion of my nuer guy who said go to a major teaching Hospital, Columbia Presbyterian is as good as you get in nyc so impressed with them. My nj guys were too afraid to touch my funky messed up back. Sandy, i think this is the charm and I refuse to give up till I get treatment of help.

    I think the major teaching Hospital is a great suggestion for all with confusing stuff.

    I have some unusual vision issues and it took a world class teaching hospital to get it figured out, after months of docs running tests and telling me I had major vision loss (I knew that myself obviously) but then shrugging their shoulders as to the cause or simply telling me stuff that wasn't true (I had one doc refer to the problem as being in the wrong eye: when I pointed out that 'wait a minute, the issue is with my other eye' he looked at the chart, corrected himself, and sort of shrugged and said 'well, it should be that eye because that is the one that looks potentially problematic on paper'. WTF?)

    So yeah. I definitely second, third, or fourth the suggestion to seek an opinion from a major teaching hospital...

    I got a second opinion from a major teaching hospital before I went forward with my treatment plan. Any time something isn't a routine/textbook scenario I think it's worthwhile.

    In your pocket Iris! I hope you get some answers. I go to a major teaching/cancer med center and have been happy with my docs, nurses.... everyone. They have been kind, approachable, they listen and they are up to date on all the latest info.

    well that pocket party sure worked

    Doc asked me when I wanted to do The surgery! I said my time is yours so pick a date

    Monday! Should if all goes well be a one night stay so I am celebrating tonight

    My limo driver said he drove a woman who was in a wheel chair for same surgery

    After surgery she was up and walking again, I am not in a wheel chair but sure look forward to walking better

    Called one of my pals to start planning a winter vacation, so Bermuda over christmas?

    OMG! OMG! I was getting ready to go into the store, and I NEVER answer my phone or even look at it when I am doing that! But it said Beppy! OMG! I thought it was going to be Bud, but~~~ IT WAS BEPPY!!!!!! I cried to hear her voice!! She sends her love to everyone, and she is going to try and call everyone who she has a number for! I told her how everyone has been keeping her in their thoughts, and that were were several of us who were threatening to camp out on her lawn, just for a glimpse of her!!! I was glad I didn't put on any make up, or I would have had a streaky face.

    She is only sad at the part where she thinks of dying, and only because She loves her family and friends and all of us here so purely, that she does not want to be the cause of any pain or sorrow or suffering, but we can all hold her up and help her through that, all she has to do is accept love and love her family up as much as possible! To hear her crying softly was heart rending, and I threw my arms around myself and rocked as if I were holding her.

    I wasn't sure i would ever hear her sweet voice again, I don't even care anymore if the cubs actually win, I will never forget this day!

    I called and left a message with the colonoscopy doc and haven't heard back and it's been more than a week. Man, they really make this tough don't they. I am reeling and struggling a coworker is having a pretty good breast cancer scare and she's only 35 ish... two little kids... she is having a needle biopsy tomorrow. I sent her the link to the breastcancer.org website... I just feel powerless and don't know what to say to give her a little hope and courage. Humbles me to be sure because I felt like at 50 it was too young to be fair... meanwhile I am having issues with my knees turning to water when I exercise. I am up to 20 pushups now, so happy with my progress. Wondering if it is the Exemestane because first time it happened I was just a few days in on it, about a third of the way through Zumba. I did a two hour hike and felt like I was going to fall right after the first five minutes and it kept giving out as I walked for a couple hours after I got back. Phooey. Also wake up stiff and barely able to walk the first half hour... and I just missed my third client meeting in the last few months... the brain fog is gone but my memory is terrible and I didn't even have chemo! Just stress? Trying to talk my husband into taking money out fo the 401k so I can join him in retirement. He is terrified though... so I keep working.

    Eggroll, have you tried any other medicines? I tried exemestane and was miserable. I'm now on anastrozole and I'm doing better.

    Tomboy, I'm so glad you heard from Beppy! I had a missed call from her, but no message. I called back and got voicemail. So just a few minutes ago, I texted her and asked if it was a good time to call. She said yes so I called her back. She is so weak. She told me she had to re-learn how to use the phone and is still way too weak to walk. Both her daughter and husband are there taking care of her. Our brief conversation made my heart soar and afterwards made me cry like a baby....but ugly. I told her how happy I was to hear her voice and that we all are thinking about her and sending good thoughts to her. She was so week that
