Shorfi.........hugs girlfriend....will send a PM.
Tomboy.......love you more........I agree on all the paper crap......damned if you do, damned if yo don't......
Everyone else.....thinking of all of you.
I was down the shore with my son from last Thursday afternoon to last night (Sunday in North Wildwood)...then he sent me by Uber from North Wildwood to Margate where I am now, got here around 9pm last night after a wonderful weekend at my sons.........
I will be with my daughter till Thursday night when we wi ll go back to Delaware county so we can attend Lila's 1st birthday party...............then back down to Margate after the party and anohter daughter with her family will be coming to Margate for the weekend, and then we wi ll all go back home on Sunday night............Whew!!!!!!!!!!.......
So the reason my daughter is here this week instead of at work in Philly is because GSK Pharma. (where her and another daughter work) is closed because their new building is right across from the Wells Fargo center where the DNC is holding their convention, and it is brutal......between closed street, protesters, traffic, and a bunch of idiots........they told them all to work from home..........good decision!!!!!!!!............so she decided to work from the shore house instead of her home in Springfield....(right outside Philly)
Tomorrow Bill Clinton (master cheater) will be in town, and on Wednesday Obama and Biden......like Biden a bit, but can't stomach Obama....and I voted for him 2 times..........
This year it is a case of voting for "the best of the worst"...........I know Trump is by far not perfect.....however what he has done wrong has not affected me or our country pretty much.............but I do know...............what Hillary Clinton has done is unforgivable, and has a dramatic effect on all of us, and our government.........I just wonder how she gets away with what she has done................
The protesting has already begun in center city Philly........it's not people with signs against Trump...it is the Sanders people pissed at this new Email trap that has come up within the past few days.......And I mean protesters by the thousands...........not just a few.....
So here I am sitting and enjoying my time with my kids.......waiting for a storm to come today in this close to 100 degree temperature later on...........all of you in the heat.........stay inside if you can, and stay cool.......hugs to all of you...........
(Hope I didn't offend anyone with my opinions)..........just saying............
-
Hey Ducky, I'm glad your daughters have a chance to work out of town this week. I'm sure Center City Philadelphia is chaotic. (Shorfi, you okay?)
Just a gentle reminder that I am fairly sure Crazytown's inhabitants come in all political sizes and shapes. I'm a long-time enthusiastic Hillary supporter (don't forget she was my senator for a while), but even if I weren't, my husband and I are self-employed, and we depend on the Affordable Care Act for health insurance. And I know I've seen some Bernie lovers in Crazytown from time to time and vaguely remember someone speaking up for Kasich a while back. Maybe keep this special place as free of political opinion as possible? It's gonna be a long few months....
But I'm glad you're enjoying your beloved Jersey shore with your family. I could use a dose of sea breezes myself!
-
Ducky, you didn't offend me, you just hold a diametrically opposed viewpoint to mine. About what some say HRC did was wrong, facts actually tell a different story: accusations are either exaggerated, erroneous, or flat-out lies. Benghazi wasn't a diplomatic mission by any stretch of the imagination--it was a CIA operation. Clinton & Panetta requested more $ for State operations in Libya but Congress failed to appropriate it. Amb. Chris Stevens' family expressly stated many times that they don't blame Hillary--and that Stevens understood the risks he was undertaking. She didn't sleep while Benghazi burned--she was up all night trying to get info about it and how to stem the damage. As to the e-mails, she did nothing that Condi Rice and Colin Powell didn't do before her. The few marked classified were done so inconspicuously, and she & her staff were given almost no training in tech security protocol. Her job was not to be IT-Guy-in-Chief. State has had a lax history in tech security going back to 2001.
But a lie can travel halfway around the world before the truth can tie its shoelaces. Repeat a lie often and catchily enough and anyone who doesn't have the inclination or time to fact-check will believe it. Know this, though: even if DT keeps his mitts off our Medicare, our younger sisters may see their coverage and treatment options drastically narrowed.
Having a blast in Rome--though overeating and over drinking (getting my daily 10K Fitbit steps though). Toasting all my bco sisters with a wonderful prosecco on the terrace of an enoteca in Trastevere as we speak. Will have to wait till we return to post pix, as I didn't bring an actual computer. On to Tuscany tomorrow

Thank you Rain, I've been trying to come up with the very words you wrote. Love you Ducky, just don't want to cause any divisive feelings.
-
I am just starting to wish that no one could even run for presidency unless they have held other offices. It's shouldn't be just a power grab for the wealthy or former wealthy.
-
It just gets me when people who are running, tell what they will do. It's not their job to do what "they' want to do, it's their job to find out what the vast majority of the people want. I just admired Obama's dignity. He didn't stoop to all that crap, & it was refreshing. Ok, I am done. I won't get into politics here anymore, but thanks chi n Rain
-
But I am another self employed person, as is the man who puts up with me, who both of us depend on the ACA too.
-
it is surely going to be a long few month
Hoping that the loser remembers to be dignified
-
HaHaHa.. I dont know why but the Australian news is obsessed with your presidential election... So we get to follow it like "Days of Our Lives" .. I know who I'd vote for, but I ain't saying it here 😱😃😂 Thankfully our own elections for Priminister were a few weeks ago... It was tough when we had to follow both campaigns 😱
It's interesting to here what you girls think about it!
-
Hi everyone-
Just a gentle reminder that we have two forums dedicated to political discussion, and we encourage anyone interested to make use of them. In an effort to maintain a calm, fair environment where all our members feel comfortable reading and posting, we'll ask that you refrain from discussing politics or the election in the general forums.
Thanks to you all for your understanding,
The Mods

duckyb, enjoy your shore time. Sandy, enjoy your trip. Everyone else Hugs. I have a ton of tape over my incision and a nice open wound from the tape. No appointment until next week. Trying to get in touch with my surgeon.
-
Shorfi and Gracie in your pocket, sending gentle hugs. Safe trip Ducky
Tomboy, you crack me up, heat induced tourrettes. I'm just picturing you.
-
Hi Crazies,
Shorfi, Make some room as we all pile in your pocket!! Sending you good wishes tomorrow. Please let us know how you're doing when you can. Hold tight to Keiko. We are all holding your hand!! ((((Shorfi))))
Hi Di! Good to see you!! How are you doing?
Smurf, We ended up not taking Murphy. We were almost to the freeway and he wouldn't stop whining. We thought about listening to that all through the trip, and decided to take him back home. I think a shorter trip may be his best option at this point. Maybe one closer to home just in case.
M0mmy, That's great that he puts away his own laundry!! Good luck at SNHU. I know you will do well.
Pennysgal, Did you ever get an appointment with the pulmonologist? Please let us know so we can climb in your pocket.
Molly, UGH! I just hate when wounds open up. I hope your surgeon gets in touch with you quickly and he/she gets it resolved.
Cubbie, I'm with you! Dull moments are sorely lacking in my life! haha I hope your Gyno appointment went well today. Please let us know when you can. Thinking of you!
Wendi, Happy dance on your bone scan results! That's excellent news! I'll join QM on that conga line!
Octo and Jackbirdie, I had a fabulous time seeing you both. Octo cooked a delicious meal of matzoh ball soup that brought back many memories of my youth. Her breakfast was also delicious. I love you both and I feel so happy we were able to spend that time together! I hope we can do it again soon!! They are just as lovely in person as they are here in CT.
Sher0402, Welcome to our crazy town!!
I'm very happy you found us and felt comfortable posting. We are all here if you need us. Please let us know about your test results when you get a chance. In the meantime, I'm sending good mojo your way.
Iris, I hope the physiologist appointment goes well. It's good to get those fears out there. I hope it helps. Gentle hugs to you.
Ducky, WOW! You sound very busy. I'm glad you're spending time with that beautiful family. I'm happy to hear you're getting so much shore time.
Tomboy, YAY!! Four years is so awesome. Jumping in your pocket tomorrow. I'll be as quiet as possible!! Your heat induced T cracked me up. I guess I shouldn't call you, eh? I'll wait until it cools off!! hahaha <ducking in the corner>
JAN, I got home late last night all in one piece. I hope you're staying safe up there. I don't like you being close to those fires. We passed one coming home and the traffic was horrible. We actually saw it burning from the freeway. Stay safe my friend.
Poppy, Thinking of you. Have you done your testing yet? Let me know if you want company. Have car will travel!!
Rainy, I wish you could have been with us. I wish all the crazies were there. Wouldn't it be a blast to get everyone together somehow? I loved the tomato porn!!
Gracie, Welcome to Crazy Town!!
Please pull up a chair and make yourself comfy. We will jump in your pocket for your bone and CT scan tomorrow. Please let us know how it goes when you can. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this after all this time. I really hope it's not cancer related. Gentle hugs to you.
Sandy, Hope you're enjoying your Rome vacation. Eat some delicious food for me.
Twinnie, That made me laugh out loud. Just like "Days of our Lives!!" Too funny.
Mods, Thanks for the info on the political threads. They don't show up on active threads, so in case anyone is interested, here are the links. Hopefully, those are the two you were talking about. They are the only two I know of.

Let me just say, I respect ALL political views even if I don't always agree. One of the great things about CT is we are all unique with varying opinions and lives. I celebrate all those differences. I've seen marriages, families and friends split apart from differing political opinions. It would be a very sad day if that happened here in our little town.
Thinking of all the quiet crazies tonight. Love to all....quiet crazies too.

No appointments yet. Still trying to fight off this upper respiratory virus. If my family wasn't sick with it first, I'm sure my doctor would have sent me off to be poked, prodded and scanned. Not coughing quite as much, but no where near normal. Plus I've fallen into one of those damn rabbit holes. Think I'll just stay there curled up with a good book... and a headlamp to see the pages.
Molly, That open wound under the tape sounds awful. I hope you got some to at least talk to your doctor by now.
-
Didn't mean to offend........will refrain from comment.....sorry ladies.....I am the last one who would hurt Crazytown..............
-
Oh, Molly. I hope you get through to your doctor today. No way should you have to wait until next week.
Poppy, hope you feel better.
Another day in the '90s. City is asking everyone to turn off inessential electronics.
Peace, all.
-
duckyb, hugs. PoppyK, I hope you feel better soon. My BS office called back and I'm going this morning at 8:00 for them to redress my incision and remove the tape. It's amazing how quickly a wound can pop up.
-
thanks Beppy.....trust me, I was just spouting off, and I would probably not go on a political thread......but then again I will never say never.........
-
Morning, my town has banned or limited water usage, oh well not that I was watering my lawn anyway so we are just doing the dry brown look
Heading to my psychologist to do some talking about my current stresses. Interesting is that I have been thinking about what has me upset as i know the doc will ask me. 2 things bothering me but just thinking about those things well I actually feel better
Course a nice gym visit yesterday helped a lot for my mental state
See all later,
-
Ducky, you didn't offend anyone. What I AM offended by, is that the mods found it 'their job' to jump in and tell us what we couldn't talk about here. It is NOT a subject we talk about very much here, and I DO think we are all grown up enough that we can BRIEFLY mention such an UNTOUCHABLE subject!!! JEEESH!!!!
I am sorry , very sorry, though, if your feelings got hurt , Ducky. Not my or any one else's intentions.
Mods, what's next? If we BRIEFLY gave our opinion on our favorite Ice cream flavor, would you be recommending that one of us start another forum/topic on the matter to BRIEFLY dissect us from having an opinion here, on that??? I suppose this comment will be deleted by the mods, so I will copy it now while I can.
Thinking of ALL C-town members, including the mod who was on duty, even if she can't declare herself, and is only a lurker.
-
((((Ducky)))) (((Molly))) (((Poppy)))
BEPPY!!! Nice to see you here!!!
-
well back from therapist guy, least this time I did use up a boatload of tissues
Turns out I seem to have a better handle on stuff than I thought but he sure does get things clear in my dumb brain
Gonna visit with again just because but it did help me
-
Hi - just wanted to chime back in with results. It was a benign cyst! I am so relieved. But really goes to show that this is never far from our minds and it sometimes feels like waiting for the other shoe to drop. Thank you all for your support and have those still waiting in my pocket!
-
I'm ok...there is no colon cancer. Mild diverticulosis has been confirmed and I'll take that. So absolutely relieved 😂😂. Going to catch some sleep now. I'm mentally exhausted...I guess from all the crying I did...but good tears. Thanks for being in my pocket and I was holding tight to this fella as well...his name is Keiko.
-
Proud, Good for you! So happy that talking helps.
Shorfi and Sher, Happy Dance time. Happy for both of you, too.
Beppy, Good to hear from you.
Molly, hope the doctor fixed you up without too much pain.
Ducky and Tomboy, Right on!
-
Great news.........love Keiko...rest well dear friend....
Tomboy......don't get yourself in trouble with the mods over me.....I should have not. voiced an opinion...you know what they say about religion and politics......I crossed the line......had some outside thoughts that should have stayed inside..................whomever reported me could have sent me a PM.......this is a peaceful thread, and I would never do anything to hurt the thread or Beppy, and for that matter any of you fantastic ladies...........next time I will put my tongue in gear before running my mouth..........and Tomboy you could never offend me.....I love you to pieces........you have always had my back.......hugs sweetie......
And to everyone else........I apologize too........as you can see.....I deleted the post......hopefully whoever saw it necessary to report me is happy........love you all
-
Oh and Tomboy.......you did make me laugh.......you sure have a way with words girlfriend.......if I ever get in a fight....I want you right beside me...love you......
-
Sher and Shorfi, so glad to hear the good news!
The gynecologist appointment went fine. I'm off to the MO in about 45 minutes for my latest lab results and to ask about some concerns I have. Always something to worry about, you know.
-
Ducky, I don't know that someone necessarily reported you. I suspect the moderators scan the active threads regularly. And this one's more active than many.
Sher and Shorfi, hooray for good news!
And Proud, glad you got some relief.
Tomboy, my favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip. Except when I go to this one place that has amazing coffee ice cream. Dang. Now I want some.
-
Ducky..Hey...Keiko was courtesy of our Mayor. She told me to hold his hand tight and I did. My poor husband...he is knocked out and snoring. Poor man, what is he so tired about...lolololol. I want to sleep but can't.
Sher...so happy for you too. I know the feeling about waiting for the other shoe to drop. But try to enjoy your good news.
Molly...hope you were able to get some relief from your doctor. Try to rest yourself as much as you can so you can begin to heal.
Hi Tomboy, Val, Poppy, Cubbie and my dear sweet friend Beppy.
