Pretty pictures, Jazzy. It is fricking wintery cold here, too, Teka. The tree I posted last week has lost 2/3 of its leaves, although my burning bush is still gorgeous red. Sometimes when fall in mild and pleasant, I think maybe winter won't come - WRONG!

Hi folks- back from Texas and just LOVED the Dallas Arboretum. It was a high light of my time there! Here are some pics:

I'm looking forward to my amaryllis bulb having striped (red and white) blooms during December.

Teka- I loved those pink things too but cannot remember what they are called. Maybe one of the fellow gardeners here will know?

I have a Xmas amaryllis box from last year and starting to water it again and hope it will bloom. My Xmas cactus has gone crazy with blooms.

I eyed a pointsettia today at the grocery store but did not buy one yet.....

I always get a new amaryllis bulb.

I no longer get a poinsettia and even keep the amaryllis bulb on top of the refrigerator......away from Teka.

Love the photos from the Dallas Arboretum. I have to write that down for a "go see" list. :-) I am especially loving the peanut pumpkin and have to look and see if I can buy seeds.

Ladies the pictures are awesome. I have been out of pocket working too many hours, photographing the annual 2-day BC walk and editing all those pics, etc. No gardening but we did have 10-12 inches of snow on my birthday three weeks ago. That has never happened this early in all my years in HotLanta. I have missed most of the fall but did get my annual trip to the Swamp to photograph birds and such over Thanksgiving. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Holidays to all.
