Here is some Jack and Toots, enjoying the wind and rain-ravished garden:
-
Thanks
Theresa. I will have a read. I too try and stay out of the stage iv area.
It's much cooler here today. Thank goodness. I had a girlfriend come over to visit last night and we made margaritas ☺ and made tacos. It was so nice. I forgot what is was like to have a social life.
Katy, how's your eye?
Eileen, Im happy when I manage 6 hours sleep, how are you doing?
-
I didn't see your post before katy. What great photos. Is the weather better there now? Your garden looks lovely. It's raining here right now! Temperature has dropped to the mid 20s.
My cheeky little pup has worked out how to get onto the lounge. He was so proud of himself! I think he realized that I wasn't impressed though. He is doing it ever time I leave the room now!
-
Yo, the hood girls be dope.
-
Love the weather forecast! So nice to see someone with a sense of humor. Love the puppy stories! That's nice you and a good evening. I think it is so important to keep doing social stuff and it is so easy to not do it. It is really grounding.
Katy: So glad to hear the first surgery was ok. Take it easy and relax. You deserve it.
PB: Thanks. I did pretty good last night. DH slept again on the couch because he has to be upright. I wish he had told me he was going to do that. I was expecting him to come up and wake me up. lol. But I slept in late this am. I did wake up, but it is getting easier knowing I don't HAVE to be up over Chirstmas break. I do want to workout.
I made my 150 jazzercise classes. I never thought it was something I could do. I was lucky if I made 3 classes a week BC and this week I did 7.
They make a big deal out of giving out the tshirt and they made a bit of a bigger deal for me so that was nice. They really do feed me. I tell them I couldn't have done it without them.
-
Congrats, Allison. That's quite an accomplishment!
-
Allison, awesome accomplishment! You should be really proud of yourself!
Sharon, that little rascal, he is going to put you through the wringer for awhile. But dogs are absolutely worth it, I love mine like a child.
Ksusan, yo, it's good to be a gangster
-
Every time my Zumba teacher has us make a hand gesture, I worry that it's actually a gang sign.
-
wessiiiiiiieeeeeeed....!!!! Lol damn it feels good to be a gangsta!
-
Yay Allison!!!
I'm feeling soo much better. Of course today I over did it a bit so I am hitting the couch in a few & there I shall remain.
-
Allison- you are amazing and that is a fine accomplishment..... You are dope incarnate! So proud of you.
Sharon- that little devil is adorable!
E- so glad you feel a bit better.
I am doing fine, took a big nap today, and look what had come from a friend via FedEx while I slept. I had written off Christmas. I didn't know till I saw this little gem that it still meant a little something to me: this is from a friend who took two of my birds when the big bird/lung tragedy happened just before the BC dx. She had multiple myeloma, and is in remission, she's the only person (other than my mother) I ever really new with cancer. I've never met her in person. Amazing.
-
Katie - that is the cutest tree. So glad you're first cataract surgery went OK. Are you able to get around better now?
So good to hear so much good news with reconstructions done, no further treatment needed, no evidence of disease.
Sharon's puppy and K's kitten are so adorable and those rescue animals are so darned cute.
Emotional roller coaster this week for many reasons. But still grateful to be here.
-
Neverthought- yes the ability to see out of one eye (almost 20/20 already) has given me a lot of confidence back and I enjoyed a bit of time in the yard today, which I haven't done for weeks. The rain stopping for awhile helped too. It's raining again now so I'm glad I took the moment to grab a little fresh air.
Sorry about the emotional week. This time of year it is very easy to be hijacked by any number of triggers, grabbing you unsuspectedly by the throat and choking the tears out of you. Ugh. Big warm hug coming your way.

Hi everyone
Katy, glad your eye is done and went ok. Karen, really glad biopsy was ok. I'm hanging in here in St Paul. My urologist called and said I have to go on a daily low dose antibiotic. Starting hiprex when pharmacy gets PA from insurance for it. They said "not covered" and I said "no other option". I failed so many and am allergic to others. All this stuff and working everyday makes me so tired. Took oli (my lab) to the dog park and did two laps which was great considering it was 9 degrees out. Then DD3 came over and we made homemade pizza and applesauce and watched "how to get away w murder " on Netflix. I really just watch the news until someone else suggests otherwise. Viola Davis is very good in this show. Mostly was great spending time w DD3. She wrote the most wonderful things on my recent BDay card. Said I was an amazing roll model. Made me cry!!! Part of me knows she likes me doing her laundry but I like having her around. Not crazy about her BF but I probably will never think anyone is good enough for her. I keep trying. Have a good Sunday all!
Mo
Oh and a patient at work said she liked my short hair. I guess I have enough now that it looks intentional. Better than the pt who asked what I use for my alopesia!!!
-
I wish this compression strap was up someone's ass instead of on my boobs.
-
The girdle can go with it.
-
Anyone in particular? A surgeon, perhaps?
Katy, love your holiday card! Mine may or may not arrive on time, depending on mail service.
-
I was going to send out cards but I just decided it is too late. I did put the addresses in my book though.
-
Hey, if you miss Yule, there's always Imbolc
-
Mine will be more like New Year's cards. I'll be taking a family photo once everyone is in one place.
-
the part about the holidays that bothers me most is the feelings of obligatory duties then the self punishment after. I'm VERY GLAD for all who didn't make the card giving into additional stress.
My eye isdoing well. If I close the bad eye I can now see the little birds at the feeders. Mostly chickadees and finches. It has been raining again so Toots has been watching with me, here where it's warm and dry. The avian kingdom is safe for now.
E- and Ks- have to admit I snorted my water at the visual of Eileen's compression garments being stuffed where the sun never shines. Funny, though, in my dream world, I envisioned MY surgeon's face!
-
I'm so glad your eye is better!
-
So happy you have a good eye under your x'mas tree Katy
Today was Holiday shopping, property transfer papers, a roaring fire. Tonight - making gifts (before time runs out). A god day overall.
-
Eileen, I'm sorry you're uncomfortable, but boy did that cause me to LOL!!! Love your sense of humor.
Oh, and I DID see the little pig on Let's Make a Deal. You were so cute!
Sue -
Katy, you want to stick your surgeons face where the sun don't shine???? Lol!
Too funny Eileen!
Happy Solstice everyone! Now the year turns to light....
-
About freaking time.
-
What's super fun about the compression strap is that it makes my drain hole leak.
-
That is super fun. Time to call the surgeon's office?
-
Yeah - that's a task for tomorrow. I prob shouldn't have surgerized right before the holidays. She's away but her colleague is also good.
-
Best of luck. Just say the word if you need a bunch of estrogen-deprived women to show up at the office with you.
