Lisa, lovely beach photo!
Nancy, I hope you get to see the butterflies and the driving goes well.
-
Thanks Cathy. I did make it to the Chicago Botanic Garden with no problem. I am recovering from the shingles vaccine right now. It packs a pretty good punch but not as bad as the first in the series of two.
Here a few pics from my trip.
The first one is a Luna moth and the second is an Atlas moth which looks a little beaten up.
The last one is a Zebra butterfly.
-
Nancy, I hope it doesn't take you too long to recover from the vaccine. It sounds tough - I'm sorry. Great photos, I particularly like the 3rd one!! Take care.
-
Thanks Cathy. I hope to feel make to normal tomorrow. I have been able to get out a little with my camera even though not feeling back to myself yet. Here are a few pics from the lake.
-
Nancy, I'm glad you got to take more pictures and I hope you continue to feel better.
-
Thanks Cathy. I have felt much better today so I think the worst is over now. Hopefully this will protect me from getting shingle anymore. I have had them three times which is pretty unusual I think. I hope you are doing better each day.
-
Nancy, I'm glad you've been feeling better. I pray you don't get shingles again - it must have been awful!
I have been struggling a lot and things feel overwhelming but it's not just about my sister. Life can be so complicated sometimes. Thanks for your kind wishes.
-
Cathy, I hope you can find some ways to relieve stress. I just got back from my lap swimming and that really helps me alot. Do you have any kind of exercise you can do that would help you? Praying things get easier for you.
-
Thanks, Nancy. I'm glad the swimming helped you. I like walking when the weather is okay. I would like to get into doing that more.

I was rear ended yesterday afternoon..not a great experience. A car going about 50 MPH hit a car behind me as we were stopped at a red light. Then he hit me as well. The driver was transported to a hospital, I am OK, but my car is in the shop...lots of damage . It took the paramedics, firemen and highway patrolmen a couple of hours to straighten everything out..good thing my friend and I wearing our seatbelts..
-
Lisa, so sorry to hear about your accident. My last accident where my car was totaled happened similar to your situation except there were only two cars involved and mine was the unlucky one in the front. This person was a little off that hit me and she tried to say it was my fault!! She is the one that hit me. When she changed her story several times by the time the police got there he really put her in her place.
It is always such a hassle no matter if the car is fixable or not. I hope you can get a rental car and your car can be fixed quickly. What a bummer after what seems to have been a nice vacation. I am glad you both were wearing your seat belts and were okay.
-
Lisa, Be sure to check out any new symptoms that come up in the next few days. We were rear ended and my neck symptoms didn't show up in the next day or the one after. It's still a problem years later.
-
YES, Lisa, ditto what Wren says. Whiplash and other neck injuries take awhile to show up. Ugh; another voice of experience here. Sending you good wishes to heal well; that sounds awful.
-
still pretty much OK. Car in shop, rental car here.
Took this last night..find the spider that I didn't actually see until I looked at the picture.
-
Lisa, I'm sorry about the accident. I hope you're feeling a lot better by now and your car gets fixed soon.
-
Lisa, glad you are not feeling any delayed after effects of your accident. Glad you have rental car now. I had my neighbors over last night trying to help me transfer data from my old phone to a new one and it took a long time and it is still not resolved. I had planned on getting some moon shots but didn't have time. I LOVE your shot with the spider. That is certainly something you don't see everyday in moon shots. Great shot even though it was a surprise!
I visited the Butterfly House one last time today so will have to post some pics when I have some time. Take care.
-
SoCalLisa, that photo is so gorgeous....is that the moon? if not, how did you get it to be round like that.. it’s beautiful!
-
This may be one of the last Monarchs of the season before they migrate. I took this outside of the Butterfly House.
-
Nancy, that's an amazing photo - so clear and bright!!
-
it's the moon 😊
-
wow!!! how did you manage to take such a fantastic photo of the moon!!!!!
-
This is Las Leñas, Argentina. In winter season it is a wonderful tourist destination to practice skiing...
