Magic, I am glad you like Balboa Park too. I go there alot because I go to the Navy Hospital across the street and my treat is going for a walk in the park. I have so many photos I can't find them. Anyhow HAPPY you enjoyed it.

Cathy, looks like you had a great time on your vacation. Some great beaches and waterfall pics. I love the Cockatoo. In fact I have had an opposite reaction to my "good news" and have been in a tough place. I stumbled upon this funny video series called Max TV on Youtube. Max is a Cockatoo and boy does he have personality. Some are so funny it is just like medicine watching his antics.

Thanks, everyone, for sharing cheer and support and beauty. I love the Balboa Park photos, and all the other photos that everyone has shared. Why was the Cockatoo crossing the road? Had he waited for the light to change, so there was a WALK sign at the crosswalk? Darling!
This is called "cauliflory," and I found this on a what I think is a Redbud tree in my neighborhood today.

Hiking Lady, those pink flowers are beautiful!! Hot pink is my favourite colour. The cockatoo was wandering around a car park and he seemed fairly tame.
