Everybody has those times. Some days we can only be grateful for the fact that we are still around to rant....and have people who 'get it' to rant to.
-
Onco, you don't have to edit it out. We all feel like that sometimes. What I liked best about your mini-rant was that you said 'that's going to be me again someday'. Way to stay positive about yourself. You will spring someday soon. Moooo

July 4th
Happy Independence Day!!!!!!!!
Today I am grateful for all of my American friends from BCO. I have met an awful lot of wonderful people on this site, both Americans and those from other countries. BC knows no borders.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the food and fireworks.
Cheryl, baby cuddles are THE BEST!!

7/4/14- many things to be grateful for on this July 4th. The sweet soaking rain that came last night, reconnecting last night with more folks I have not seen in awhile, a day to relax here at home today, more fun planned for the next few days, and especially grateful for a place to share positive gratitudes. Thankful to for all of you here on this thread. for all of you on this thread.
Have a lovely July 4th one and all.

Onco - We have all been there felt that. It would be unusual if we hadn't! Post awayGrateful today to be home after a great vacation/work conference in California. Time with my kids that we all enjoyed. And going to spend time with extended family the next few days
Hope all have a good fourth

Grateful that the 4th is almost at an end if only for the poor dog, I usually go to the beach to watch the fireworks but tonight I watched them from the backyard with the dog wrapped around my legs he has been a mess and I just didn't feel right leaving him and even though fireworks are banned in our city you'd never know it by all the exploding that is going on and then were hearing all the residual nose from surrounding cities fireworks displays.
-
I am grateful for a really fun 4th of July with family and friends.

Good morning ladies,
July 5th
Today I am truly grateful that my DH decided to humour me and put up the tent in the back of our yard. We had a lovely sleep in the fresh air after a campfire.
Cheryl, my vet told me to give my dog 80 lbs one Gravol about an hour before the fireworks. For people it works for motion sickness but for dogs it's an anti-anxiety pill. I know we don't want to drug up our pets, but I think it's kinder to them in this one instance. Maybe ask your vet?

Grateful for such a beautiful, sunny day.!
Mrs. Robin is sitting on that nest an awful lot. Maybe she is hatching another clutch. Not usual for around here. But that's OK with me.
-
Grateful today for beautiful weather and a houseful of teens/young adults hanging at my house. I have made a meal everyone can help themselves, my kids are happy and I am out on the deck with book, magazine and a glass of wine. -
Grateful for another fun, fun day of celebrating. (I will also be grateful tomorrow when everyone leaves......having all this fun is tiring!
) -
7/5- grateful for a fun day of river rafting up north in the Rio Grande Gorge. Also grateful for the friend who got me to do this and who has always been present with my bc and ongoing check ups/wellness.
-
Red thanks for the tip, up until this year he's been okay. I read the police blotter today and everyone is saying how bad it was, last night a group tried to bring down a police helicopter with mortars.
Today I am grateful that I was able to fine a nice birthday gift for my friend, I usually just give her a gift card to her favourite restaurant but that gets old.
-
7/6-grateful for a nice morning at the farmers market, where I came away with fresh greens, radishes, tomatoes, squash, eggs and goat cheese. I have some good eat for the week.
And for the friend I shared a nice brunch with at one of my favorite local eateries. Nice end to the social events this holiday weekend.
Hoping everyone here had a relaxing holiday weekend!

July 6
Grateful that my granddaughter was able to stay at our house last night. We didn't know she had never slept in a tent before, so now she has. It was a bit more crowded with the 3 of us and the dog, but it was well worth it.
-
Grateful that I have everything back in place after the busy weekend.
-
Grateful I got everything done for my friends birthday lunch tomorrow, made her favourite meal of meatloaf and mashed potatoes and baked and iced cupcakes, of course I had to sample just a few (now I just have to remember to pack it all up and take it with me in the morning)
-
Grateful for a wonderful , but bleated July 4th celebration with extended family. Hurricane Arthur pushed many of the celebrations in Mass early or later. And no damage from Arthur
-
Cute picture, Nel!
-
Grateful for my entirely wonderful weekend. My mom, DH, GD and DD made it an absolute pleasure.
-
I am also grateful for a really, really nice weekend with filled with family, friends and fun.
-
7/7- grateful for a nice facial today at my favorite local spa.
And to discover a leak under the fridge today with repair to follow tomorrow morning, and before I am leaving town for 9 days. I am learning to be grateful for problems when they happen at better times in my schedule!

Grateful that I will be seeing my sister later tonight (she lives in NC, I'm going to visit, I haven't seen her since October so am really looking forward to it).
-
Ruth- have a great trip and time with your sis.
Onco- I hope the PT helps your achilles!
-
Grateful that I finally discovered what caused my sleep walking. Believe it or not - my sleeping pills. Weird.
-
Grateful for my first pedicure in over a year and that it was gentle and felt wonderful. No more being ashamed of my bare, ugly nails in sandals.
