100 Days of Gratitude

Grateful for having found a hair dresser who carries the " Organic Color systems " line ..........its awesome ( and less toxic ).
-
Grateful I was able to walk the dog this AM and not worry about slipping or falling. Ice on driveway and sidewalks is gone! Still plenty of snow and raw out, but ice is gone , at least for today!
-
I'm so grateful that tomorrow I get to start on my road trip with SIL to go see my baby brother in Canberra for his birthday! I haven't seen him or his family for three years.....I'm so excited!
-
chrissyb, have a great trip and wonderful visit.
Today, I'm grateful my oldest is home from college for the weekend.
-
today I am grateful that my kitchen counter and sink
will beare being installed. That's the last major component of the remodel, all that's left after that is to tie up all the loose ends. And no more washing dishes in the cold garage!(added a few hours later) Waaaah! I spoke too soon. Hooking up the faucet has to be done by a licensed plumber, so it's back to the garage for dishwashing for at least another few days.

Day #52
I am once again grateful for Friday, but since I've already done that one I am going to go with... grateful that my parents are both still with us. Mom is 78 and dad is 80, they aren't together, but they are both still with me!
-
grateful for my two sweet cats
-
Day 52: grateful that my results from last week's dexa scan were normal! The previous one I was .1 below the "normal" line which put me in the osteopenia category. PCP made it out that was really bad while my MO just laughed and wished his other patients were closer to mine. I guess all the extra almond milk (was drinking soy milk before last dx) and calcium, pills have helped.
Curveball, can you breathe a sigh of relief now? All interior upgrades done?
Yes, Ruth, you do have two sweet looking cats (from previous pix posted). Lately, my two keep fighting, not sure why. Woke up this morning to the sound of hissing and cat screams.

Day #53
Today I am grateful for all the pretty sun catchers on my window. They are making me smile as the sun comes through them. They twinkle.
Yay Maddy on the good Dexa scores. Your cats probably have spring fever. Lol
Pooh my mom and daughter read him. I'm not much of a murder mystery reader, but they love him.
Ruth pets of all types are wonderful, aren't they? We have 2 cats and a very young (dumb) lab. They make me laugh.
-
I am grateful for inventions like phones, texting, the internet, Skype etc. that let us communicate with & really keep in touch with friends & family who live far away
-
pooh, about Canada beating the US in hockey; here is something else you can be grateful for

-
Oh Ruth, believe me, we in Canada are sooooo grateful for that!!! You gots ta keep im now! Lol
-
And both games we were SO CLOSE to getting rid of him.....drats!
-
You want Toronto's mayor too?
-
hahahaha....nope, he was not part of the deal!
-
Know what's funny? Bieber showed up to my son's hockey practice (he's 18) a few weeks ago! We live in the South in the 'burbs. Apparently Justin has a good friend in the area. He hung out with the boys for awhile, took pics and acted fine. All had a good time. Maybe he was just looking for some normalcy. So today, I am grateful for ice hockey.
-
Just grateful for having survived an 8 hour staff retreat. Exhausted but survived.
-
Red, white radiation is daunting, it is doable without too much angst. I just played mental games to pass the time while inside the machine. And luckily for me, met several wonderful people each day in the waiting room and immensely enjoyed getting to know them. Still, I was thrilled when the 28 sessions were completed.
Grateful for the wonderful little health food store/restaurant near me which makes healthy delicious soups. Today was a fave, vegan cream of broccoli to which I add more steamed broccoli when I get home.
-
Ruthbru.....LOL..........about the bebs ...hadn't seen that advertisement ......I guess the US gets to keep him .........he's all yours

Getting up tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM to watch the final mens hockey Canada vs Sweden ........

@2TA, no, it is not absolutely totally completely finished quite yet. The sink, faucets and countertop have been installed but the faucets and drains are not hooked up yet—that has to be done by a licensed plumber, who will not be coming until next week and I don't know exactly when. Most of the loose ends/touch up work got done yesterday and someone is coming to finish it on Monday. I think the next item on the home repair agenda is probably the gutters. Exterior paint will have to wait until later in the year for dryer weather.
I am trying to think of something to be grateful for today. I think I'm catching a cold and feel achy all over, which tends to make me the opposite of grateful. Oh wait, I know. It didn't happen today, but I was able to install my system software upgrade without any problems, and surprise surprise, a little program that had never worked before started to work after the upgrade. You Mac users out there may remember that under some earlier versions of the operating system, you could set your computer to chime the quarter hours. I don't know why that feature was removed when OS X came out, but it was and I really missed it. Well this little program restores the chiming clock feature to computers with OS X. I installed it years ago but it never quite worked right. I guess it just needed a slightly higher version of the OS. And now that I have my OS upgrade installed, I can purchase Family Tree Maker and get to work on organizing my genealogy notes. I've decided that's my personal one-item bucket list. A lot of research has been done over the years, but it's utterly disorganized. I don't know if any of the next generation is interested in family history, and even if they were they might not be able to make heads or tails of these notes! So I think getting them into some sort of shape and preserving the information for the future is mostly going to be up to me, with help from my mother identifying people in the old photos.

I am so thankful for feeling better today (day 10 post chemo)!

Yay CC. I mean Onco, lol

I'm grateful for paint samples. I have one wall with 8 different colors on it right now, but I've finally found a winner.
At least the neighbors can't see my inside multi colored wall. Last year we painted the outside of the house and I had one end of it striped with sample colors for a couple of weeks while trying to decide.
-
Awe, dear Curve, two steps forward, one step back? And especially since you're so close to being done. Hopefully, next wee at this time, you'll be smiling that all the inside work has been completed. As in completely finished. Stay warm and rest up, hope you're feeling better in no time.
Day 53: fell asleep in the recliner last, slept thru the night, woke up long enough to see my daughter off, must have fallen back to sleep, up at 1:30. Grateful I felt well enough for the 20+ mile drive to urgent care. The doctor confirmed my suspicions: I don't have the flu, strep throat or congested lungs or am contagious. Thinks it's a severe sinus infection (gone from viral to bacterial), that's was is causing the cough and sore throat and yes, my rib could be bruised. Has me on anti-b's and gave me more of the Phenergan with codeine to sleep. Maybe I can start to get well now.
-
I have two days to catch up.
Yesterday I was grateful for passing the halfway mark of my road trip and it was pleasant and uneventful.
Today I am grateful for arriving at my brothers house safely and for the wonderful welcome I received from the whole family!
-
Grateful this morning for the huge breakfast we are having and the whole family gathering in the basement to watch the mens final hockey game . GOOOOOO CANADA GOOOOOOOO
-
grateful for a fun night out last night with friends
-
Day #54
Today I am grateful for my grandson Cameron. He is 10 and autistic, but still loving and fun.
