A Retreat for Peaceful Contemplation

Ruth, do Bison roam free in ND now? In the 50's when they were on the endangered list, one of my cousins contracted with the government to raise them. He happened to love horses and had a small heard of them, nine for his family to ride (7 kids) and 3 or 4 well trained horses for herding. One year when we were having our family reunion picnic the bison stampeded and broke through their fence. The oldest teens and all the men saddled up and rode out. The herd was coming straight at the home place so we got to watch them chase them down, turn the herd by killing the lead bull and head them back towards the pasture. My heart still pounds when I think about it.

They roam free in Theodore Roosevelt National Park in the Badlands. Other people raise herds on farms, behind the fences that, absolutely they could knock down if they wanted to.....they need a lot of room to roam.
-
I'm glad there are at least some Bison roaming free!

Marple, it's a city park, LOTS of roses. Meet with some women in the early morning for a stroll. Couple hours later, a bridal party was taking photos there. So pretty (and smelled divine)
How cute is that, Ducky! Family friends?
-
A beautiful thought to contemplate.
-
Ruth, thank you for that saying. Both my scars have keloid scarring smack dap in the front of my chest then both fade and are not noticeable. I wish it to be the opposite but can't change what is. I will contemplate the thought every time those keloids bother me and know it will change my mood tremendously.

Maddy yes I took it, it's Balboa Peninsula looking to the bay, the high rises in the background are at Fashion Island.

Cheryl, oh yeah, duh! Should have looked closer. Did those roses come from your garden? They're gorgeous!
