Hi Elizabeth ! How are you doing? I am home this month with check ups and bone scan. But can barely wait to get back on the road again.

For those of you in warm climates this may not be an unusual sight but in Central Illinois where I am visiting family the migration that has been happening with these beautiful birds for a few years is a sight to behold. Here is one pic that I was able to capture the fall leaves reflections as well.

It had just dove in for a fish.

good pix Nancy. We have them here only when they migrate through. I can never predict when that is. Sometimes in January.

Here are a few more pelicans and assorted photos. Love seeing all the pelicans and egrets and herons.

These pics were pretty scary as I walked along this long pier full of sleeping Canada geese that were hissing at me as I got closer to my subjects. Here is one shot.

Then a few seconds later I felt like I was in the movie. You know which one I am guessing. LOL

Thanks Lisa. I had left most of my equipment at my house up north and just had my walk around lens. If I would have had any idea the pelicans were here I would have packed differently. It was a very special treat seeing them.
