This morning I took these photos of a bald eagle near a local library!

DH and I saw one in a field on the way to the gym yesterday creating on the remains of a deer.

Also been watching eagle cams when wanting to sit for a bit. I love this one best.

Because of the extreme winter road kill deer were brought in for the eagles to feast on which the female was doing just yesterday.
I think they have some out at Possum Kingdom Lake west of here in Mineral Wells. I think they've had some up on Lake Texoma. Who know what's around now with the drought.

These pictures are absolutely amazing. I cannot believe what talented photographers you guys are. I love my birds and my avatar is our parrot, Blanche. DH took this picture and it turned out so well, but by pure accident. We are bird lovers but certainly not photographers like all of you. I will lurk and enjoy . . . thanks so much as your pictures bring such pleasure

The GS had one like that. Named, of course, Muffin Head.

SoCal- it looks like a "crested duck". It's due to a genetic mutation. Sometimes they are bred for this characteristic.

Around here we call them pom pom ducks. But yes they are crested and different breeds are bred for this characteristic. So cute! I love those and top hat chickens. I had two silkies that looked like they had on Russian hats. Fluff and Nutter.
