Well Sister Warriors, my life officially begins again this week. I saw the MO and RO on Monday and they both agree that I am NED (No Evidence of Disease)! Whooooooo Hooooooooo! I never heard sweeter words in my 52 years. Of course I still have joint and muscle pain from the Letrozole (Femara) but I am powering through it by swimming a few times a day, walking the dog and just trying to keep moving in general. I have an arsenal of pain meds. but I will ONLY take them PRN.
Now I have an aggressive goal of buying a home here in North Texas and getting a job within 40 days. I made an offer on a lovely 3 BR rancher that is not too far from my wonderful Sister's home where I have been living through this unexpected journey with the BC. I have scheduled the home and termite inspection for tomorrow and expect that it will all go well. Now the real trick will be to convince an employer that I am the best darn Registered Dietitian and Food Safety Consultant that they will ever encounter. Wish me luck, send me all the good Karma that you have and PLEASE, keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I certainly will do the same for all of you.
May the Lord bless you all with less pain and SE's and more happiness and joy in this life's journey! Peace, Hugs, Love, Prayers and Blessings to All today and everyday in the future.

OK, I'm jumping into the crowded pockets (gently). I hope everyone finds relief from pain today. Fluids can do wonders for how you feel, so hope they work for you Veggy.
-
Veggy - gentle hugs. Hope the fluids and Zofran help.
Maryoftheporches - how's reddy breasty? Joking aside - Doc got any answers for you? Surely something I hope that antbiotics will clear up. No postponing of your trip.
Phyllopicklelady - sorry stomach has you going.
Chickie - good day for hiding under the covers. You get better now, you hear (in my Granny from Beverly Hillbillies voice)
Sounds like we need a group hug. Who can't like My Little Ponies.
Flowers - Yeah for NED. Congrats on the house buying. Staying in Flower Mound? Have you tried job search on Texas Health Resources? Biggest hosp. employer in area. Also Baylor's though I don't know how their job search works. Good karma headed your way.
Gosh good karma for everyone here.
Worried about Blondie.

Back from drs. office, she thinks it is a infection, put me on augmentin (sp) and will check it again on Tues. BUT she also said never to bring you guys with me again, you were way to rowdy. I think we'd have been ok if you guys hadnt been fighting over the picture that Chevy (i think) posted yesterday...Now its time for me to go pick up sweet gs for our campout. Will be back later..
-
Veggy.......just hope things get better.......it is so unfair.........My heart goes out to you, and will say many prayers to Saint Peregrine for you......and also my Padre Pio novena.......please take care of "you for me".....wish I could do more......
-
Right now my aches, pains, asthma cough, bad knees, and hemorrhoid that is now bleeding seem like petty bullshit compared to all of you........I swear I will never complain again........hugs to each and everyone.........
-
Today can't get any worse ladies - I'm sorry for my rant.... I just called my pain docs office to find out about my med issue and find out he is leaving at the end of the month.. My primary left last month and now him... I'm in a tizzy right now -- I'm going to go in and talk to him because the other doc in the office, doesn't have a good reputation. What am I going to do and right in the middle of a med change CRAP !%$!%$%!^%^!
-
Gma......good heavens....seems to be the week, month, year for shitty news....does it ever end......remember when all we had to worry about was what we were going to have for dinner..........oh well it is what it is.....sad to say......
-
Miss Flowers...YAY FOR NED...something good today!
-
Thanks ChickaD for reminding me of something good.
Maybe pain doc has an idea of where to send me next that isn't his associate or even better meeting his associate and finding out he isn't as bad as i have heard. -
NED and Flowers! Yippee!
I'm feeling better. Went and had DEXA scan done. Then I went to the bakery and pickrd up a sandwich for lunch. Hope you're better little vegetable!

Ok, Got big girl panties on and saw my Pain Doc that was leaving. We talked a bit more on med changes and his associate.. Things aren't as bad as I made them out to be and we are close on getting my meds where they need to be... He gave me a plan to follow with a few tips on when and how to change dose. I asked him to talk to his associate about wanting to take me, with all my unique quirks with med sensitivity.. I wanted to give him the option not to. My doc says that with what is working now my new primary might feel comfortable with dispensing meds that seem to work.. If I have a change and need to veer from the plan, that is when I would have to come in and see a pain doc. He also said, he didn't want to dump me in the street and he truly thought his associate could deal with my situation just fine. I do trust him... Anyway, he has two young children and wife wanted to move closer to home where she could get a job easier.. That is true - no jobs in town..
-
Well, I'm doing the happy dance too! Went to see MO today, said my tumor markers were coming down!!!!!
Yea Flowers!!
Everybody else, feel better! -
I'm so happy to hear your news, Flowers. Those 3 words are some of the loveliest in the English language, aren't they?
Spookiesmom, Yeah for your downturning markers!
Mary, Augmentin is good. Hope it does the trick.
Did the chicken soup help everybody's tummy today? I add a couple of pieces of fresh ginger when I make mine.
Gma, go to know your doc is taking care of you. I understand them leaving,but....
The weekend is just a day away!!
Shells, In your pocket with kalua pig and haupia tomorrow.
Beatmon, Glad to see you again.
-
Some good news here tonight, It's about time.
SeeGMA u have to delve some to get the answers u need, and I hope u'r on the right track going.
Spookie what ever markers down means, I'm thinking it's all good so good.
I hope everyone has a better night tonight.
-
Juliaanna Umm - haupia. I haven't had that since I lived in Hawaii. Have described it to DH who made a yucky face. Do you make it?
-
Just got gs to sleep. He made it about 5 minutes "camping" and decided tv was better, so he is asleep in my bed. Dh is sleeping on the air matress and camping instead. Gs got in trouble at daycare today, and almost didnt get to come. I bitched and told dd not to punish him that way. He is always welcome at my house even when hes in trouble. Time is too short for that. Well off on my trip tomorrow and Saturday is my 55th birthday, ironic that Ill be spending it on an "antique" train.ha-ha...
-
Mary - that we all become even older "antiques". Have a great time on your trip.
-
Maryawake--that is so cute--looking forward to the camp out then he was ready for bed in 5 mins. I love it. I agree with u no matter what kind of trouble it is always good to be with Grandma they feel comfy with u. I'm sure it was stupid trouble but that's on there time not yours, LOL Have fun
-
luvmygoats, I made it once awhile ago. Maybe it's time to do it again.
