Can't begrudge blue skies! ♥

Father's Day Picnic
Sun, BUT THE TEMPERATURE!
Still, was with family!
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
Sunny today too
Temp is only 70
Feels like it's 50!
¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
Lake Michigan here
Cooler near the lake no lie
Wear sweaters inside!

Hope everyone is doing ok. Had a nice Father's Day with the kids at the park. Cold but good visit. DH wanted a picnic so he got it. DD1 picked DS2 from Madison. DS1 and wife came. DD2 came alone- Her new DH was doing something planned before. That's life! LOL got to see those who came anyway. My contribution was dessert. Brought watermelon and , wait for it, wait, - rice crispie bars. Absolutely NO redeeming value. The whole pan was gone. LOL
-

A classic case of
Be careful what you wish for:
Bad storms here last week
~~~~~~~~~~~
The old maple tree
Was mortally wounded. Wind
Took down big branches.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Hate to say it but
What remains is hazardous.
Time to say goodbye. ♥
-
Badger says farewell
To a wounded warrior
Who guards her domain
•••••••••
Red enjoys herself
Celebrates Anniversary
Poling through Venice
••••••••
Monica is home
Legs are up and ice applied
Morphine brings relief
•••••
-
Ice is good for knee.
Also for gin & tonic.
Real good medicine! ♥
-
I'm home again now
Italy was fabulous
Happy memories.
I'll catch up tomorrow. Going to bed now. ((((hugs))))
-
Red is home sleeping
Dreaming of wonderful things
Doesn't want to wake!
~~~~~~~~~~
Badger walking more
Enjoying even the rain
But hoping for Sun!
~~~~~~~~~~
Moni is curled up
Trying to read but she can't
Those awful pain pills!
-
Considered good luckTo hold Juliet's breast now
My husband's a card!!
-
Well obviously
He's going for all the luck
He can grab at once!
-
LOL, Red and Moon!
Sultry Sun rises
Glistening bodies surf high
Sea foam laps the shore.
-
Birdsong draws me out
to walk while it's still cool here.
Hot day predicted. ♥
-
The sun is shining
But my heart is heavy still
Bad news from my friend
••••••••••••
She's in Baltimore
And her son has lymphoma
Bringing him home now
••••••••••••
Nothing left to do
Wants to be in Wisconsin
With family and friends
••••••••••••
He fought many months
Did chemo and many rads
No more left to try
••••••••••••
So just FUCK cancer
Taking away our babies
34 - too young
-
Oh sh*t Monica.
Sorry for that news, so young.
F*ck Cancer is right! ♥
-
that is craptastic
that is pure awfull,so young
to be afflicted.
-
Long journey at end
Adam passed away last night
In his Mother's arms
SORRY I WROTE 24 HE WAS 34. Still way to young.
-

such a lovely day
4th of July tomorrow
Celebrate Enjoy!
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
PT says I'm good
So does the orthopedic
Feels pretty good
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
My plants seem to grow
Just a tiny little bit
Waiting for the SUN!
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
It's supposed to be
Knee High -the 4th of July
Not gonna make it
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
DH going North
To spend the 4th at the farm
But I'll be at home!
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
He didn't want to
Although I told him to go
Much family to see
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
I can't take the ride
3 hours is way to much
Knee would cry - me too!
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
LOL. I hope all of you gave a grand time on the 4th! Enjoy!
-
Skies are gray but birds
gather and sing joyfully.
Thank You for this day. ♥
-
My American friends
Some days make my life worthwhile
Happy 4th to all.
Monica so sorry about your friends son. 34 is way too young to pass. I have kids, 33,35,37,42 and 44. I can't imagine any one of them going. I'll send my kind of prayers.
Badger has my hugs
Kathec does as well. Of course
Our Monica too.
{{{{Hugs'n'kisses}}}}}

Waddling walker
Taking up a lot of room
With me pushing it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
They ALL smile like that
A little bit mean but sweet
And say "Just ONE more"!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pain pills affect me
In different ways you know
Diarrhea, sigh
LOL! Well after almost 3 weeks it's not the surgical abx now is it? So I'm blaming the pain pills. Used up my script of Lomotil. Need more. Sigh. LOL
Otherwise I'm doing well. Going to PT 3 X a week. Begging my relatives for rides. Cause I can't drive on pain meds. Cutting way back but still taking them. LOL
Much love to all.
-
Great to see you moon!
Glad your surgery went well.
PT sucks big time!
Ttyl

Friends across the miles.

(Copied from a post by Chevy on Insomniacs thread.)
-
thinking of you guys and wishing we were neighbors... i am just having a tough time mentally.. came to see how moon was doing.
-
-
-
LOL! Moon is doing ok. Still dragging around my walker. Gonna be able to use a cane around the house soon. But still a walker outside. Got to stop the Warfarin so no more groin high socks! Who hoo!. TMI? LOL!
Pain is so much less
I am off of narcotics
Moon's mind is working!
(Well at least as good as it was before the operation! LOL)
-
omy!compression that high!?!?
-
wear those groin high socks
To prevent embolism
While on Warfarin!
▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪
However, not fun!
Those things gave me large blisters
You don't want to know!
▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪
LOL Yeah I had to learn how to get rid of the rubber part on top. That's what gave the blisters. Yeah like a TKR wasn't enough torment! LOL
