Mother's Day Thoughts

One minute kids are infants

One blink, the kids have grown

What happened to the time between

That puts us all alone?

Grade school takes a full eight years

 While time drags on so slow

High School's only four short years

And time begins its flow

College is gone in a flash

Our kids begin their lives

This is their time to explore

blink and they've got wives

Our parents are in Heaven

 we're left here on our own

And time begins a mad rush

We reap what we have sown

The kids will call and visit

This place they once called home

They better call before hand

It's now our time to roam

More's ahead in our future

Time is fleeting and fast

But we'll enjoy tomorrow

As we enjoyed our past.
