Awww, Edi, so sorry to hear about ED. So frustrating when they cannot find a cause for pain. If you know what it is, then you can somehow reconcile with it, and do what is necessary to prevent it. Can the chest pain maybe have something to do with digestion/indigestion/heartburn or a reaction when she eats certain foods? Is there a pattern here? I'm clutching at straws because I feel so sorry for her.

Websister, glad the mammo's and unexpected U/S are over. These days when I have to go, it is pretty reluctantly, and always with that niggy litle voice - what if? Our reality now, and we have to make peace with it. Not easy at all.

I am 56 and the same thing has happened to me.  I had a lumpectomy, good margins, no nodes and it was 8 mm.  I am finishing up chem0 which has been the worst and not so worse thing ever.  I will be getting radiation next.   I will be glad to talk to you if you need me.  Leah

Liefie, you are brilliant 😁 funnily enough the lovely Doctor suggested just that. Told her to get Doc to give her anti acid meds. Hope you are right. She keeps saying what will GD do if anything happens to her 😑 Have tried to reassure her but to no avail. Will let you know.Think she thinks she is too young for digestive problems. If only !

Edi - wow! Looks like we posted close to each other yesterday and I missed commenting on your testing - glad they are checking things out, hoping all checks out well for you. Sorry to hear about ED, agree with Liefie and wanted to add that from my experience in Emergency sometimes gallbladder attack can act like that. Hope she can get it figured out soon for her, tell her not to give up.

Morwenna - how exciting that you got your date! Hope they are able to coordinate all involved

Nihahi - yes, I was surprised at the sudden resurgence of feelings with the unexpectedness of them adding the ultrasound. Have had no calls today so I am assuming that all checked out OK. I guess I will find out if I have to continue this every 6 month surveillance, reinforced for me that I want to do the prophylactic mastectomy on that side with my surgery, even though that side will be implant.

Hi to everyone else and take good care

    Yet another amaaaaaazing cake Edi!

Sorry to hear about ED's woes. It's horrible when they can't say what's wrong, but hopefully it will be something fairly innocuous in the end! xxx

Yes Websister, we're on the road now eh? I have a mammogram and ultrasound booked for June 23, so I'm not looking forward to that either!

Then another round of hospital follow up appointments (onc and hematologist). My GP wants me to have a full physical exam on June 20, with all the accompanying blood tests, pap test, colon cancer screening, you name it! ....... I'm not keen. I just feel I have had enough of doctors and being poked about. I just want to enjoy being healthy and well, and if I never had to see a doctor again I'd be a happy bunny!

........ BTW this evening while paddling on the Glenmore Reservoir, we saw a BEAVER!!!!! :D

    Hi 😎

Love you all sooo much, Liefie/Websister think you could be spot on about ED, trouble is she is now 42 and definitely doesn't act it. Something digestive/gall bladder would never cross her mind so hope it crosses her Doctors !! She kept apologising to Doc who told her she would also have come to A and E with those symptoms. Will ring ED in a min and tell her what you have said, thanks again.

About to get in shower, headstrong today, nervous wreck.

Morwenna hope there isn't a beaver in there 😨

    Laters xx

edi....so sorry you're in a pothole again.....even if you don't feel like it...try to do a bit of walking/biking......something positive. You're going to do wonderfully at headstrong....sure wish I could toss a bucket of confidence over you...you're amazing, and have so many talents...caring for others being one of them.....you're going to be great.

Hope your daughter gets sorted out...sounds like this has been going on for awhile???? I have no suggestions other than what have been already offered, other than to say she needs to tell her doc she wants this sorted out NOW.....Since it happened again fairly recently, perhaps she should sit down and journal what she ate, and what she did, and what "stress" she might have been feeling, for a day or two leading up to her latest attack. Might help speed up the dx???? Just a thought. It's obviously being caused by something.

mo....good luck with the checkups.....seems like they leave no stone unturned, doesn't it. But....you want to be healthy going into Flap recon, that's for sure. Sounds like you're thoroughly enjoying the boating!

Edi, I was going to suggest the gallbladder thing, then Websister did. That could very well cause the pain ED is experiencing. I had 3 gallbladder attacks before I had it removed. It was excruciatingly painful, and I will happily give birth again before I endure that again. Sincerely hope they find the cause, and do something about it.

    Hi 😎

Liefie, definitely thinking something like gall bladder, she has Doc app tomorrow so hopefully it will go well.

Nihahi, headstrong was fantastic, much more relaxed than in training. Such a lovely feeling doing something positive and hopefully lifting someone's spirits. Lots of laughter too. Met some incredibly brave ladies who just want to look as normal as possible. Did good walk in hospital grounds, car park long way from onco centre.😞.

All your gorgeous girls keep well and hope all tests come back with excellent reports. 😀

Love the silly face, Edi a you look great, love your hair. So glad you enjoyed headstrong today, now the nerves can go away. I will be thinking of ED and her appointment - hope things get sorted out for her

Morwenna -  so glad you are enjoying the dragon boating, it must have been so exciting to see the beaver. Hope your appointments and testing go well for you, I know what you mean re: doctors, unfortunately in my line of work I see them on a regular basis professionally, and now see way to much of them as a patient. I have smiled a couple of times when Liefie has expressed the same sentiments about never seeing another Dr. , much harder for her when the doctor is your husband ;)

Greetings to all, need to get on the treadmill - take care

    Hi 😎

Websister, thank you, love f/b Pic of Paisley with her new hat 😁 she is adorable.Crossing everything for ED tonight.

Weird being in hospital and not as patient. You must feel strange in opposite way ,as for Liefie no escape.

Sun cracking flags here at last, planted lettuces last week and they are sprouting ! Also have tomatoes, spring onions and dwarf beans. Getting excited 😊 don't do home growing normally but it is fascinating.

World cup starting soon, beam me up Scotty . It has been reported here that violence in the home escalates at this time ????? Shops full of booze on offer not surprising really 😢

    Keep safe and well everyone.x

Have a hair appointment at 9.30 tomorrow morning, but will think of you all as I drive in to town. Going to chop it all off - a short pixie it will be. Sick of struggling with wayward hair that is so different from before - way more important things to do. Just came home from my first yoga class after the back episode. I could more or less do all the stretch poses, but could feel how stiff my back was. Will just keep at it as I should have - naughty Liefie.

I will join with everyone while I am driving to my first meeting tomorrow morning - looking forward to it. I have already started turning off the radio and playing soft, relaxing music as I drive, I will add good thoughts of/for all of you.

I took the afternoon off today - so far, beautiful weather - not quite 'sun cracking flags' but getting close. Took my bike out for a good, long ride along Fish Creek ridge here and enjoyed it but need to do this more often, not the same as the treadmill I found out :)

Liefie - I love your hair in a pixie cut - very chic on you and it will be perfect for summer. I'm booked for a cut next Friday, suddenly my hair has been growing like crazy and it is finer than it was so need to get it under control

    Take care everyone

    Hi 😎

You all sound so happy 😀 I too had hair chopped nice and short Liefie, it was driving me mad trying to get it looking nice, now just gel and spike.

Joining with Nihahi at the coast now won't be possible but will sit in garden instead. Diabetic check at hospital today and all perfect, woop woop 🙌 lovely to have some good health news .Cholesterol level 3.9 and EDI adores butter ? Doctor was thrilled to have a good patient. Waiting room full of morbidly obese people. No wonder this condition on the increase. Only problem is water infection started when I got up so no loos on the coast 😞 too old to pee in the bushes 😟 so taking pills and staying near my loo.

Websister, jumping onto my exercise back and will imagine I am riding somewhere beautiful.🍃

Love Movie's link to the nipple tats on f/b they are amazing, what a transformation.

edi....for lord's sake.....back on the loo run, eh?? Hope whatever they gave you sorts it out quickly.

I would love to have short, easy hair......just never liked myself in short hairstyle.

I enjoyed the connection today.....hugs to all.

Edi, happy for good news re health - we need it! As for butter, I stopped using margarine years ago when I read that some margarines are just one chemical reaction away from plastic. Much better to use a natural product in moderation. And nothing beats real butter on a slice of warm freshly baked bread. Right, Nihahi?

Had the haircut, but boy, is it ever short! I look exactly like my brother, not what I was going for - LOL. Have only myself to blame because I did not express myself clearly. Her short is obviously way shorter than my short. Oh well, in a few weeks time it will look better once it has grown a little. No use crying over spilt milk.

    Hi Ladies,

I was there with you this morning, but I had to sit in the living room, due to the RAIN. But that is okay, we needed the rain.

Edi…you sound wonderful and look fabulous, too! Hope you are feeling better. I suppose I was a little "grandiose" to think this cottage would be finished for all to see. At least the roof is on! DH and I are going to attempt to paint one of the guest bedrooms this weekend. Then, depending on how that works out, we will move to the 3rd bedroom. At this point, perhaps we should save our extra $ and try for a get together next Spring. And there will be time for you to win the lotto!

Liefie…I tried to "spike" my little bit of hair this morning after my shower. Then after it dried, I looked even crazier than usual. Oregon is known to be "weird", so I am thinking about going to town and get some organic purple hair color…if that is even available. The "La De Da" parade is July 4th and the entire town participates. I need to come up with something unusual so that I do not stand out in the crowd.

Nihahi…the shoulder has its good days and bad days. I have had a condition similar to frozen shoulder several years ago with my left shoulder. I went to a PT and she worked miracles. However, this problem is not the same, because I still have full ROM. It is just pain that goes into my neck and the back of my shoulder blade. The MRI showed a tear in the muscle, so I will go to the ortho doc when I get back to the South. As long as it is not CA… it can WAIT.

If I should ever win the lotto, I will hire a personal chef. I do not like to cook. But I like to eat. I need to drag my lazy bones into the kitchen and cook some salmon for dinner. Love the salmon, but hate the prep work.

That's about all from the chilly Oregon Coast. Hope everyone is doing well. All of you (Ya'll) are in my thoughts daily.

    Love,

    Jenifer

Liefie - too bad haircut wasn't what you expected but I'm sure it looks great

Edi - sorry to hear about UTI, hope all is better soon. Glad diabetes under control. Agree re: video of reconstruction on Facebook, very inspiring.

    Hi 😎

Fathers day here so mob descending 1 pm. I went to bed at 9 last night and slept until 7 to charge the batteries  😦

DH just opened his cards from DS and gd's in Manchester. He always sends money for Dad to buy himself something he wants and he really can't afford it, he is such a lovely boy we don't deserve him.He will be working today so can't visit but is coming to see us soon so we will treat him to a good day out.

Going to try and make brandy snaps later. Saw them on TV and they brought back memories of my childhood.

Jennie, Glad you asked Bennie about plush toy 😀 I have been following on f/b and so glad she is happy and busy again.Sure she will pop back here one day.

Momof, hope that roof kept rain out ? How is decorating going ?

Liefie, bet your hair is stunning, mine is a week later and swear it has grown about half an inch already.💇

Nihahi, really linked in with you and girls, very spiritual experience. Thank you 😃

Movie, hope you are reading if not posting, thinking of you everyday. 😘

Love to all. Porridge needs making 😭 xx

Oh Edi…I must say you look fabulous in the passenger seat….the driver's seat on this side of the pond. I keep joking with DH that I am overdue for my midlife sports car. Problem is, DH is 6'7" , and it is very difficult to get him in and out of most sporty cars. I tell him I do not need him in the passenger seat, but he insists on being able to fit in "my" car. The weather looks warm. After such a rough winter, enjoy the sunshine.

    Hi 😎

Momof, thank you 😀 it was such a lovely experience.Told DH to get a can opener and convert my car ☺ My DD hubby is a giant like yours and he wanted to borrow hercar , he got in and was jammed under steering wheel !! Couldn't lower seat as being a typical male pushed wrong lever. She said he was ranting and raving that her car wasa load of rubbish. She reached in and dropped him down ha ha. Apology ensued .

She is forty in February and this is her mid life present to herself.

Hope you are enjoying cottage ? How is married life for your DD ?

Sunny again here, have to get two new tyres for my little car, hope DH volunteers to get them for me ( fat chance )

    Pop back later x
