Looking forward to seeing you all!
-
Hi ladies! Looking forward to lunch on Saturday!
I just took a peek at the cheesecake menu. Oh, wow! I usually stay away from sweets, but I may have to make an exception on Saturday! I will have a hard time choosing between the 6 different "Chocolate" ones!!!
-
Welcome, nbnotes!
Lee, any word from Shells or Barbara?
-
no....
. I imagine both are really busy but I was hoping to see them.
-
Maybe they will surprise us & join us--hope so! Looking forward to meeting you as well, nbnotes.
Ha. I am checking out the SkinnyLicious menu while y'all are perusing the cheesecake menu.
We're heading out tonight to see Weezer @ The Mahaffey. Wish I didn't have to work tomorrow night so I could hang out & shop afterwards...
-
speaking of shopping....I have to go back to the store that sells all the "Hello Kitty" stuff. I'm in love with Chococat.
-
LOL. Hello Kitty has become somewhat of a demented thing for me ever since my PS showed me his Hello Titties poster that he was getting framed for his office.
-
that sounds like a riot, Hello Titties!
we always called her BooBoo Kitty, ala Laverne & Shirley.
-
I'm glad I have a grand daughter. I can just say I'm buying it for her.
-
Not gonna make it, ladies, but have a great time! I am with you in spirit!!
-
Aww.
We will miss you.
-
I had a great time with the group today. All nine expected were able to make it and we ended up hanging there for almost FOUR hours. It was wonderful seeing what are becoming cherished and comfortable old friends and also having new friends join our circle.
I look forward to our next time together and having at least one more new face each time to share our journey.
Gentle hugs to each of you who give support for our current travels through this difficult process and give support to those following behind us and barely into the beginning of the journey. You are very special women to me.
-
I'm so sorry I missed it! Hoping I can make the next one. On a good note saw the Onc. on thursday and my cancer markers look great!
-
Yeah, Kira!!!! We look forward to you making the next one. Maybe a post-holiday, toast in the New Year one?
-
I would love that!
-
Hi All,
It was GREAT meeting you today. I'm sorry that I didn't get to really talk with each of you but NEXT time I look forward to getting to know you better. Hopefully the ones who couldn't make it this time will next time.
Thanks for organizing the event and I'm still tasting the cheesecake. It really hit the spot!
-
Omeggo,
Seeing how you ate ONLY cheesecake, it can understand why you still taste only that. And yet you are a bean pole. That cheesecase diet is really working for you!
Next time was need to rotate the ends of the table. I didn't get enough of the women at my end of the table and got NONE of you all at the other end.
-
Maybe we need a big round table next time? It was great meeting AnnAlive, FLWarrior, NBNotes & Omeggo and it was great to see GalSal, Lee7, MondaysChild & SpecialK again!
Missed you both, kira & shells!
Thanks again for organizing things, MondaysChild!
-
Yes, thanks MondaysChild for organizing the luncheon. It was great metting you all, and look forward to getting together again and talking more with a couple of you I missed at the other end of the table, as well as others who couldn't make it this time.
Nbnotes - praying for you as you continue chemo.
-
a round table sounds like a great idea! (speaking from one end of the table...) We just have so much we can talk about with everyone that there's just not enough time. It was good seeing old friends and meeting new ones!
-
Lee7, I'm sure your granddaughter will love Chococat!
It was very nice meeting each of you yesterday! I enjoyed it. I look forward to getting to know everyone better and also getting to talk to some of you at the other end of the table.
Thanks to MondaysChild for organizing it.
It is a beautiful day...enjoy!
-
I'm so very grateful to have spent time with each of you yesterday! I've already made contact to Dr K to see about arranging an appointment, so thank you to each end of the table who were speaking about him at the same time.
Mmmmm, cheesecake was delish but the company and conversations were the BEST.
Sally

We talked about a Thursday evening. Maybe if we do a happy hour thing we can mingle more.
November 29 anyone?
-
It was wonderful to meet everyone yesterday! Thanks for all of the information and advice. It was so nice to talk with people who understand and have "been there".
-
Hmmmm 'happy hour'. What about traffic? Also who is actually drinking? Not that a cup of hot water with lemon won't do the trick, but you get my drift. I haven't hung out in a bar in years. Of course, I could take my wig off and scare everyone out of the place! I just shaved my head and my neck so SOOOOOOOO long. I defintely look like an alien.
One last little tidbit for now. I can't help myself: 'Bean pole"??? But it's true, when I eat cheesecake, my DH gains weight! (Just kidding...sorta). No offense taken but I must admit, I've never been called that, that I know of. Think I'll eat some more chips!
-
nbnotes,
It was great to have you with us and I hope you can join us at our future gatherings.
I just remembered your schedule so November 29 is out. Let me know when you think you might be up to something after you next round. Perhaps Dec 3 or 4 when things are quieter anyway. I am thinking Ceviche perhaps for light food and beverage.
-
Omeggo,
Bean pole was meant as an endearment. You are fashionably and beautifully thin! That is what I meant about the cheesecake diet working for you, because it really is. You look great. I bet you look good even with the shaved head.
No hanging out in bars, not in our condition or at my age. Promise.
I was thinking something like Ceviche which has light food available and whatever anyone might like to drink, whether water, soft drink or a glass of wine or other.
-
Monday's Child, thanks for the compliment. You looked pretty spiffy yourself! Cerviche sounds nice and I wholeheartedly agree about the round table or room for mingling.
Have a nice evening everyone and until soon!
-
Omeggo, I knew you started chemo but I didn't realize you had already lost your hair when I saw you. Wow, the wig you have is beautiful and I wouldn't have known it wasn't your own hair.
So..where is Cerviche? I don't dare try to pronounce it.
-
My best description for how to pronouce it: Say-Vee-Chay. There is more than one now but the one I know is in south Tampa at Azeele and Armenia.
