Jazzy worried about you also, as I just told my daughter, I tried the superwomen part and it didn't work....please take care of yourself and slow down...pushing yourself will accomplish nothing but getting you tried and more prone to get sick....
-
Hi, all. So many sound active, busy.
Lily, are you ok? I worry about you. Some of the things you have felt and shared... been there. Love to you...
Lori, thinking of you, too.
Laurie, Camille, hope all's well. (What's Joey reading now?) :-)

Dagnabit! I accidentally deleted this thread. Derned touch screens. I had to go back to page 207 and catch up from there.
Teka, you had so many posts deleted, I was beginning to wonder if you had Tourette's.
I've been a true Hermit this week. I haven't been out of the house since Sunday, and haven't even bothered to get dressed.

Hi hermits- thanks for all your concern and reminders for me to take care of myself. I am doing much better today, this thing appears to be a lingering congestion from a cold that started in December, and maybe came back. Slowing down yesterday to take care of myself, getting some extra rest, etc. all helped. I woke up feeling good today and did go on the client site and work a reasonable day, left early. I am going to continue to focus on taking very good care of myself!
Blondie- how are you doing/feeling?
Skittle- how are things going with the kids at school?
Soteria- you sound like you are enjoying your hermitage. Are you doing okay?
In the news this past week, there have been three shootings. One here in one of the schools in NM (two kids injured), that man killed in the movie theater for texting with his daughter, and last night in IL in a grocery store. There are a lot of reasons not to go out anymore.
-
The shooting at the movie theater is about an hour from me. The retired cop that shot the guy started Tampa SWAT team. He was a loose cannon. The trial will be interesting to follow. Will the off duty cop there cover for him? Stand Your ground? Only in Florida.

Hi hermits- TGIF! I am up and heading to the car dealer (again) to get the first of the two leaks taken care of on my convertible. Diagnosed two weeks ago when I was in and after getting parts ordered, we begin today! I have been at the car dealership every friday for one car or another the past three weeks! Fortunately, I got paid my December invoice from the client yesterday so there is money going into the bank account to help with all that!
I took it easy last night and went to bed early and slept 10 hours. Continuing to feel better from the sinus crud. CC- thanks for the recommendation, I will look for that. Been doing a sinus rinse each day and that helps too!

GM Hermmies!! Hope you make the most of today!!

Mere, I see you live in Memphis. Do you ever eat at Gus' Chicken? I hear it's the best ever. It's funny that they only serve Chicken, Potatoes, & Slaw, but they always ask what you want to eat.
Paula
-
MereMere- so funny. I am doing some remote work today so chance are it will be the later vs. the former! Thanks for the laugh.
-
Mere like to smile. LOL
-
Soteria- I have eating at gus's but i'm am personally not fond of it. I don't like spicy fried chicken unless it's hot wings! LoL Not BBQ that's a differ story! Food And Music is the only reason we stay in the city!!
-
Cami- any news on the fatigue? Mine is better, but think I saw some posts you are still very tired?
Teka- what is shaking in upstate NY?
-
You have to wonder what this kitty was looking at? LOL!

So cute.
Well I have another infection so I started aunti-bees again and that could be it. When I get a UTI now cuz I get them so often, it tires me out more--that's all. My heart is staying the same which is good so that's what I was concerned about really and I'm on meds for that and he didn't change those meds so good.-Like I said he did change some for more doses??? But everything is within normal range.
-
Cami- glad you found out the source of the fatigue. Infections for sure will exhaust you as your body tries to fight them. I know UTIs become more common as we get older. Hope the meds kick in quickly and you are feeling like your old feisty self soon!
-
Betty White turns 92 today. She is something else!
-
Jazzy I never thought myself as feisty, more like hum-drum with a twist so I'll take that as a compliment. I think that I have them all the time it's wearing on me, but I also think it doesn't always completely go away and they should check me after and culture it after. But I'm no Dr.
-
camillegal,
I always drink some cold, cramp the jaw, cranberry juice when offered in the waiting room lounge at the cancer center.
I think cranberry juice is now getting a
for preventing a UTI.
I believe my niece just hydrates!
-
Dam. IF I make it to 92 I hope I look that good!
-
Spookie- a friend of mine works in pharmaceuticals marketing and Betty White was the spokesperson for one of their products. My friend got to meet her and work with her on an advertising campaign. Kathy said she was just as delightful as she appears!
How many women in music, theater, film, television do you see working in their 90s? She is a legend.
Then again, so is Cami......
-
Things sound up for most. So glad. As for my kids... they're still trying to wrap their heads around the loss of the mom (to the dad) and the following media frenzy... Our town usually doesn't see such violence up close and personal like that... Too much pain for preteens.
Hope all the aches and se's stay at bay so everyone can enjoy the weekend.
Lily... Still worried about you!!
-
Skittle I'm glad to see u--I'm sure this violence will be in their hearts for a very long time, this is so sad. Please take care of u.
92--Holy Chit se looks and acts perfectly. Wow==I remember her on TV in the 50's and she was just a doll.
Lily how are u???
Hey Teka
Hi Jazzy, I just woke up with a horrid hot flash hahaha get them now again sometimes. makes me sound younger, LOL
-
Jazzygirl that picture is wonderful and brought me such good memories. I grew up with a Collie and she looked like your dog. Tippy would have sat up there, I know she would have. Oh what a good dog she was. Thank you for posting that.
Hugs Ginger
