Lovely Jazzy, I guess I am healing but have another surgery in 9 days time -
Jazzy how interesting, I remember that time so well. It was so sad and shocking for all. And the confusion that reigned was horrendous.
-
Oh I've been thinking about Teka, I hope everything is going all right for her--I guess I thought she's be back by now. Chit

No Black Friday shopping for me either!! I did pop out briefly today for Small Business Saturday. The local drug store always has cute ornaments and I wanted for once to get in when they had a good stock. Every Christmas I give my all my grand daughters an ornament which I date. By the time they move out on their own, they will have a good collection to start their trees.
Camillegal, it sounds like you will be having a fine time on Tuesday!! I do a lot of online shopping too. Used to do a lot of catalog shopping too, but now just online.
Spookie, Kris is darling!!
Jazzy, sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope it passes quickly. Love the photo and the quote!!
Hmmm, I too thought Teka was going to be back by now. Hope things are going well there.
Hugs for all my Hermit friends! -
Hi ladies- I was thinking about Teka today too. I remember she also said she needed to step away for awhile in December before the family issues so we may not hear from her in awhile. But we will be thinking of her and know she will be back here when she can.
Been laying low this afternoon and laying in bed and resting. Hot tea and other liquids and naps too. Nothing terrible, just think it is a cold or virally thing. I have been under a lot of stress with work and think my body just said it's time to SLOW DOWN! -
Beautiful Iceberg!! Like Us All. -
There's Teka we've been concerned about u Teka and missing u.
-
Family member returned home from the ICU in time for Thanksgiving. -
Teka that's a relief---u must be exhausted that is so stressful and tiring--Please take care of u'rself and relax now. I was worried about u.
-
We must All pace Ourselves during the holiday season! -

Glad you are back Teka! Also glad your relative is back at home. Love the iceberg!
This is my first Holiday season after bc, I am really trying to pace myself, but boy oh boy is that hard sometimes!! -
Furfriend it keeps u'r mind occupied, a few yrs in a row I did all my shopping for Christmas from Q and HSN and maybe sent back 2 things in all. My sister would usually get a piece by Nolan Miller or Joan Rivers and just love the jewelry and Bare minerals and on and on. LOL OMG someone who knows all those people hahaha. First I really couldn't shop plus I hate to then like u said it's addicting. And once u know the sizes they are really good. And much cheaper than the stores.I'd better stop.
but it sure helped in my hermitude.
Gramma this is such a busy time of year--u really have to learn how to pace when u start to feel tired relax--this isn't the time to push u'rself.
Teka

Teka- welcome back and so sorry to hear someone in your family was in the ICU. But also glad to hear your loved one is back home and pray he/she continues to recover. We have missed you! And love the photo too!
Furfriend-welcome and glad you found us! I watch QVC a lot but buy only one occaison. I have gotten some great things for the patio there in the past (during different season). They do have super cute things!
Lily- thinking of you as you come up to another surgery.
My viraly thing still lingering. Mostly head congestion and an achy body. I have a massage later I need to reschedule. We keep things a bit slower and easier again today as this thing moves through. -
Jazzy do u need any meds t help u--I know they used to say Virus is different from bacteria but there are still meds to ease u difficulty.
-
Hi furfriend! I shop QVC too but mostly online. I love, love, Denim & Co jeans. The 5 pocket stretch ones, they fit the best of any jean I have ever owned! And Bare Minerals..... just started using them this summer and love them too!
Lily will be in your pocket for your surgery. Sending healing thoughts.
Hugs for all! -
Cami- whatever this is, it is not bad. I am doing better than yesterday. Now thinking it is a head cold. Been drinking lots of tea today. I took some extra strength tylenol for the achiness. It does seem to be moving through.
I put 20 Xmas cards in the mail today!
I am going back on anastrozole today. The MO said I could take a month to six weeks off, and I am choosing the month option, so I can determine if the bad foot problems may return before I go back and see him later in the month. If they do, we are switching to aromosin to try that. Wish me luck, the side effects are supposed to be better once you take a break, but not always. I have really felt better being off the drug. -
Jazzy I take Aromasin so good Luck
-
So far I seem to do better on Aromasin too........but guess what, now have a cold just 8 days from surgery........ -
Good luck Jazzy! I hope your se's are much less.
Oh no Lily!! Get lots of rest and lots of liquids. I used to use Vit C and Echinacea first sign of a cold and that helped. Hope it passes quickly! -
Lily do what Gramma just said and if it lasts more than 3 days, call the Dr. it's not a cold u have to make sure u'r all clear to go.
-
Cami and Lili- good to hear about your experience with Aromosin. When I first read up on the three drugs (Arimidex, Femura and and Aromosin), the later was supposed to have the least side effects of any of them. The doctors say they always start you on arimidex or femura first, I think they have been around longer and more clinical history with them. We will see where this goes next.
Took it easy today and working through this bug of mine. Back to work tomorrow, maybe just a half day.
Into December we go hermits.
