Showtime... who is going home? Daughtry is in the house!!!!
-
i'm here.
I love Daughtry
-
Josh stays but I don't think he will win it... does anyone else?
-
Hi all...I have never posted here but I would like to join in - I just may have to discuss after the fact since we usually DVR and watch later - I will be chiming in though!
-
I really like josh..... i don't think he'll be the next AI.
So far all the judgements are on schedule.
-
welcome kltb go ahead and chime in and we will welcome it. Sheila I agree the judgements are on schedule. I really am hoping a girl wins this year but I'm a bit concerned with all the hoopla over Phil and Colton (who are both good) and the tween votes it will be another guy year. I was looking at something on dialidol.com and Colton has the most facebook and twitter followers. LOL!! which they say by averages has in the past affected the outcome of the winners. Hmm guess we will see.
-
I'm sorry Jessica fans...but I cant stand her...I don't know why.........
Hi Karri...we love people joining......welcome
-
Renee...still on schedule.......
-
yes but I was a little surprised about Shannon I don't know why but Deandre has that tweenie girl vote too because he is "cute". LOL! not a reason to vote for someone but they do. Ugh!! O.k.
Daughtry... OMG!!! Love them!!!!!
-
-
Not surprised so far
-
-
How many of you were just as shocked as I was by the bottom 2?
-
now I'm surprised, it should have been Heejun
-
karen me too I'm not really happy right now those 2 in the bottom 2 don't deserve to be there
-
WOW!!!
-
you can say that again Renee.........
-
Goodbye Shannon.
She was so good at the beginning ...was almost sure of next AI for 2012.
-
He skated, lucky boy.
-
I agree Sheila thought she would do well! Total shock she should not be gone... Heejun should be or Deandre as far as singing goes. Just goes to show that the tween vote counts big and so does that krap called vote for the worst idol. Ugh they make me so mad every year. They get a large group of people together and vote for the worst singer to keep them on until towards the end when it really doesn't work anymore because so many have left the bad singers they were trying to keep on gets the boot. They are a terrible group of people that hate American Idol.
-
They have to figure out a new voting system where we can only once not 100.
-
I totally agree, Sheila.
-
I don't think they want to because that's there call to fame millions of votes
-
Deandre, Jessica, and Skyler will at least be on the tour.
Correct, last 10 do get to go on tour?

I hear ya, Sister! Me too!
As far as Shannon going home, well, she does have one huge disadvantage that is often shown by the younger contestants....she gets flustered, and her performance suffers. True, there are other teenagers like Skylar, who has the confidence of a 30 year old, but alas, Shannon just wasn't consistent.
As for limiting votes, does AI make money on votes? I mean, when Ryan announces that "Seventy hundred thousand eleventy BILLION of you voted last night!" does AI get a cut of that somehow?
Mimi - that "Vote For The Worst" group IS the worst!!!! And they're still going strong!
Teka - yep! Last night we saw the ten who would be going on the summer tour....unless, that is, someone else gets busted.....
The way I look at it, the really weak singers will all eventually be weeded out before the finals.
I don't think any of the borderline talents stand a chance of winning, although I do have trouble remembering the ones who actually WON AI in the past, besides Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.....
-
Blessings2011,
Okay!
-
Hi all...I wasn't too sad to see Shannon go. I agree with Blessings, she was just too young, got shaken too easily and didn't have the confidence.
As far as the girls, I like Skylar the best but I also like Elise and Erika as far as their type of voices - I just don't think either of those last two will go very far in the competition because they won't get tons of popular votes. I don't care for Jessica either. Hollie is great but she just doesn't seem to have that "it" factor.
For the guys, I love Phillip and Colton. Like Joshua okay; I don't like Deandre's voice...and I just do not like Heejun!
Ok I guess that is my contribution for now...just a bit of trivia - I live very near where Kris Allen was from so we were all AI crazy around here a few years ago. We went to the hometown concert and the whole nine yards. I have NEVER seen so many people!
-
Karri I agree with you 100%!! Skylar is my fav and I do like Elise and Erika but they have been in the bottom 2 several times already. I love Colton I think he is really good and has the potential to be along the lines of Chris Daughtry.
-
I felt so bad for Shannon, I think she was really good and deserved to stay longer. Deserved it so much more than HeeJun. He has a nice voice, but not a great voice, and is so awkward and goofy. I'm really loving Hollie and Jessica this year, and Skylar too (she reminds me of Kellie Pickler).

So what did everyone think of Jennifer saying Joshua's performance was the best on Idol ever? And other judges acting it was so?
I think it was an outstanding performance, should keep him in to the top two, imo.
The mature women do not stand a chance to the tween crowd, Deandre will be there a long long time, every female 8 to 20 is voting for him was much as possible.
Heejun needed to go home before the top 24.
And now I read there is a 'vote up the worst singer' club?! Augh!
My AI prediction so far is Colton.
I was right about Adam, even though he did not win based on 'politics'. I was right about Scotty, even though there were better choices. I was right about Season 9 winner whoever he was. But this year I don't feel one at all. And judges keep saying the talent is at its best, but I think they are not just looking for talent, they are filling a job, the whole package. They don't have one there.... really.
