Night night! Sweet dreams! I'm all pilled up myself.
Gave the baby a stack of ribs, turned on the electric blanket, and turned on mindless TV. The littlest things make me so happy.... -

Oh my...pooped myself out today...and it's only 3 o'clock! I decided that I like my little indoor garden a lot....I like picking off the dead leaves and misting them with the sprayer ... I can't believe that they are GROWING! I started a Curry Plant and oooooh does that smell nice! I also started a Strawberry Plant...I'm sure it won't have strawberries but I'm guessing I could have that grow all over the breakfast nook if I wanted! LOL
So....
Who's with me??
BTW...what time do the awards start?
-
What are you growing in your indoor garden, besides curry and strawberries? I would love to plant an indoor spice garden. Every year when I do that outside, the animals love it!
-
I have several Jade Plants....I just love those....interesting little specimins...
I have one flowering plants, not really sure what it's called but it's super pretty...white and purple flowers about the size of a hlaf dollar. Then I have this Viney leafy thing....not real sure what that is either...it has leaves like a tree...those skinny things that reach out and grab things so it can grow...but it's very very viney...I think that's about it for now. I have a perennial garden too...all kinds of stuff in that!! But, I'm asking DH to make me more shelves...i want MORE MORE MROE!! LOL
You have to do the Curry....that plant is really cool....and I did Cliantro once but I never knew when to eat it....

The only things I've grown successfully are herbs. Otherwise I have a gangrene thumb. A couple of cloves of garlic stuck in a pot grow wonderful garlic chives. Basil, mint and oregano usually do well.
Here the deer are so bold they will come up on the deck, watch you for a bit through the window while the dog frantically barks and runs back and forth to the window wanting to get out. Then they will turn their back on you and calmly eat from your planter boxes. Even so they stay out of the herb garden at the Center. I don't know if they just don't like the things planted around the edges or what. The plants on the outside are rhubarb, lavender, chives, thyme and three kinds of sage. Anyone know if deer normally eat any of these.
The interior of the garden has parsley (curly and Italian), rosemary, cilantro, oregano, fennel, dill, 3 kinds of mint in pots and in the center a bay laurel. We don't have a warm and sunny enough climate for basil or tarragon.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

SJay - Are you finding interesting threads to look at? I've asked the Mods to start a Forum that isn't listed...if they do that, I'll be pretty excited.
So sorry about your cantelope...sad sad story....
I think I'll try the garlic if my Chemo brain remembers....I swear, that is never going to get better. I'd just like an acceptable level where people don't think I'm ... nope. Cancel that. I'll keep it and not give a shit about what they think ... Well, I guess I remembered that ok! LOL
-
Gangrene thumb!! Bahahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!!! I have that too! I can grow pythos.....basically cuz you dont have to water them and they dont need sun! I do have a killer Christmas cactus that blooms twice a year. I will have to try the herbs. I do plant basil but eat it too quickly!
