Bugs, so good to hear from you. Thank you so much for putting the word out. If you hear of anyone else that does not have a home for their bras, scarves, wigs or prosthesis, feel free to give them my info. How are you doing. God Bless, Kathy
-
You know I will! I'm doing well! Going to school, working full time and a teen...I don't get on here a lot or for long. Life is good

Take care! PM me if you are ever coming back to home country to visit your sister

(( Everyone))
I had a palpable node in my supraclavicular area. Did UltraSound of that area and probed further around in my neck .... found incidental 2cm Lymphnode next to my carotid and internal jugular....and another deep one on the side of my neck.
I am a mess.
Blessings to all.
-
brazos, your's sounds like mine!! One of the nodes was jammed in beside the jugular and carotid as well!! There is one they want me to follow up on, so I'm going back for another ultrasound in November.
-
Barb... keeping you so much company. This has me scared on a different level than finding out I have had breast cancer. ARRRGGGAAAHHHH. I was petrified at moments during the US.
HUGS!
-
When I was in the diagnosing part of all of this, I kept saying I can handle it as long as it hasn't spread. So I do know what you mean. Okay, we've handled all this stuff, now stop it!! Enough already!! So I know that level you speak of. I don't have a good feeling about my nodes....I HEARD them saying "scattered.....look there's two mashed together....go for the bigger one..." I mean really, what was I supposed to be thinking!!
The radiologist said that even if the test came back negative, to get it tested again. That didn't give me warm fuzzy feelings either!
-
Barb and Everyone Here, hope you are hanging IN THERE.
My sanity was truely tested yesterday when my BS Onc/ called re my US after talking to the Radiologist and said I need a PET Scan. This is not what I signed up for.
Blessings

Brazos, we don't even get PET scans here unless we're celebrities!!! I wish sometimes that I could get a full body scan just to give me peace of mind...sigh. Good luck on your scan!
-
Finally, great news! Thyroid biopsy showed cysts! All clear. I get the entire month of November appointment free. That makes me very happy. Thank you to all for your support and I will continue to watch for your results. We are coming to the states for a visit on Christmas and I am so very excited. We got a Visa for Ali, the teenager we have custody of and she wants to leave now. I assured her the time will go fast. Life is good and God is great. Blessings, Kathy

OMG CONGRATS!!!!!!! I am so happy for you!! You must be able to breathe all the way down now!! Have a great holiday, anticipation is almost the most fun!
I have another US on November 14th to check the nodes in my neck and hopefully do a BETTER biopsy this time! The swelling hasn't gone down, which tells me it's not from an infection. It's been a couple of months now and I am beginning to feel them when I look down to read or turn my head a certain way. I just want to know!
-
Barbe, a couple of months seems like a long time to wait. Why so long? BTW, I had a PetScan last year and I'm not a celebrity....far from it. Lol there just doesn't seem to be any consitency across the country.
Good luck on the 14th

Pickle, they wanted me to do the follow-up US 2 months after the first one. Thus the mid-November date. I'm not frustrated at the wait at all, I want them to get a good sample for biopsy this time - or find out that the lapsed time has changed what they look like on the US. IF it is cancer things will move very, very quickly. I had my double mast 6 days after my diagnosis. I had to wait that long because my doc only operated on Tuesdays!
-
I had the ultrasound on the 14th but they didn't do another biopsy!! Very strange, the tech released me without even checking with the radiologist. Then I got a phone call that they want to do another ultrasound guided biopsy on the 30th. Obviously the nodes grew! Why didn't they just do the biopsy last week?????
How is everyone else?
-
Another #### wait Barbe ((hugs)) Good luck with your biopsy on wednesday. Is this US biopsy being done at the same location?
-
Hi Barb, just happened to check in this morning and see your post. So sorry you are going through this. Will be praying for you. It is good they are being thorough. I have a liver scan in a week and just to keep a watch on the hemangiomas. I guess they go by the theory that being too careful is better than not enough. Keep us posted Blessings
-
Barbe: Good luck with your biopsy. I wondered the same thing when they were doing all my testing over and over....why didn't they just do the biopsy! Sometimes I think it just comes down to $$.
-
kaara, it's costing MORE to have the extra ultrasound! We don't pay here so to me it's a waste!!!
-
(( Barb )) Thinking of you!
My PetScan ended up being clear re the 2 enlarged nodes in my neck... so with a very big SIGH and many daily prayers of Gratitude that i am not stage iv....I am free until I see Surg Onc in 3 months. You just never know where you are gonna go next. These post breast CA after treatment surprizes I find are worse than the intial diagnosis. I have visited total TERROR.
Blessings and Sanity to you all.
Keep your chins up!
hugs

Got a call from the ENT today. They want to do a biopsy of my thyroid on Dec 9th. I'll let them, but I'm not cancelling my biopsy on the 30th!! I asked when my follow-up for the ENT would be and she said it depended on the results! Strange answer, don't you think??
-
Does that mean that both the node and the Thyroid will be biopsied?
-
Yep! And I'm glad of that too. Unless the nurse who called to book the thyroid was just being "general" and gave the word thyroid instead of neck node......
-
my now we have to call you Holy Barbe (hugs) sick sense of humor. We are with you tomorrow girl.
-
Hahaha, you remind me of when Saint was terribly constipated before she passed. She asked us all for tips. I told her I knew the "big" guy and even called him Holy Shit! Thank goodness she laughed!
-
Barbe1958.....just wanted you to know that I'm keeping you in my prayers. You have such a great attitude, wish mine was more like yours
! Please keep us posted on how it goes....... -
I had the biopsy on Wednesday on my thyroid!! The doc showed me the solid black 1 cm tumour on my thyroid and said "that's what we're going after!" Yikes, that means the swollen nodes on my neck are a result of whatever is happening to my thyroid! I'm keeping the ENT appointment for Friday, hoping he'll be able to do something about the tumour....sigh.
-
barbe1958: Hope all goes well for you. Let us know.
Sending prayers your way!
