sounds good Sass.

Tang, Oh beautiful curls and blond. My hair came in many shades of white, steel gray, silver. First curly then went stick straight like Spookie said. I went bald with only one chemo, not one round. ONE chemo.
-
Sassy - I think that is a very good idea. Others than on just here I'm sure would like to offer support. FBB is well loved on the DIEP thread Movin' On -After the Flap for one and many others she visits. We can provide food, games, laughs, hugs, emotional support.
Enerva - your curls are adorable. And I agree with Cami (shocker I know) you have a lovely shaped head and beautiful face.
Thanks for the pedi advice. Now to convince DH I need it. I think we are about to cancel newspaper so that will free up some pedi funds.
-
Wow that's nice hair. And growing iniso fast..mine is just a mess and I knew what you mean by fighting at night. Mine is horrible when I wake...even though I don't get the curls.
-
white shirt worked the best !!!!!!
-
enerva, great pics...love your curls !!!
-
Did I ever mention that I have a phobia of anything under the skin. Not just mine...anyone. therefore it makes "checking" things out a freakish event for me. If I feel knots or lumps, I just freak out. I've always been that way, could never check my kids head when they would fall for fear of feeling that knot. Dh had to do it.
-
great idea sas.....you r the best
-
last one...
-
Susan - I think those shoes could start a new fashion trend. Great pictures and I can tell you had a great time.
-
Okay Owlies, ideas are gelling or jelling. If others chime in that this is a go. One of the things that I think would be GREAT. Is pics of ourselves. This idea came with SweetSue's tomato pics. Spookie- please, in the thread, post the pic of you and Phyllis and I. (worst pic of me, didn't realize I had no eye shadow on or anything--gray hair requires eye work and lipstick and cheek blush)
Susan
thanks. How many people showed up for this event? DD is beautiful
I would create the thread right now, just so you could see, but others not privy to what we are thinking would post. Let's think explosions of thought and color and shape and form and things that would make DH blush and think these ladies(?) are crazy-----hope my printer is up to that LOL
Teka keep an eye as things progress There are so many stealable posts from W&F's. We'll steal with no crediting OKAY?
-
Oh, good dog, if I posted an invite to other threads........we all know when I tried to do a good thing the last time by posting to other threads. LOL. We'll cross that bridge when the time comes. I'm getting excited about this....it's not been done here before.....been here for 5 years..... We are so cool.
Pics in the topic box-----looked at it. The MeerKat pic is us. The Bluebird was added b/c of FBB--- that's her. The owl is it "we ride it out". My first thought was to pick pics for the topic box.......BUT what is here, it all works. It's home. Like Christmas. She sees them each time she comes.
I can create a new thread and the C&P the meerkats and BB and owl-------------and other stuff

Hi, ladies I am new on this forum, it looks like fun, I have been reading it in the wee hours of the morning. Susan3 your post struck a cord with me. I also have fibromyalgia, your headaches, restless leg are all symptoms of fibro, a neurologist is the doc to see. Stress always makes it worse for me, I can go along fine for awhile and than have a stressful period and I have a flair up. I was just diagnosed in May with my 3rd primary cancer, and you guessed it, headaches and general pain. Best of luck, I hope you get some help. Stephanie
-
Hi 3rdTa , we have a 2TA and a 4sW, your moniker will will get modified so much you may not even recognize your self if you stay awhile
-
welcome Stephanie
-
PattyP met my limit for the day..... what do you think, wwwwwwwwwhooooo. past midnight. new day, new counter.

Hi all,
Sas, the sleep app is called sleep 101. I have an iPhone and I went into apps and the search term I used was sleep tracker. It is not really very accurate since it measures sleep and awake cycles by motion. The phone was plugged in and placed on the mattress near my pillow. The last 2 nights it shows a graph of how long I slept, a little over 5 hours. And that I was awake 3-4 times.
Susan, the pics of tomatoes on shirt and shoes, so slimmy yucky..but you looked like you had fun.
Very sore muscles tonight, side effect from iron infusions I think, or anemia. Going to try and sleep. Goodnight all.....
-
Oh also, I loved the pics of Tang and of Enerva. Beautiful ladies.
Cards for FBB, count me in.
-
Good Morning owl of u ladies.
Welcome Stephanie, 3x's I'm so sorry. I do hope u stick around a great group of ladies here.
Good idea Sas, u always think things thru.
OK Susan I love u'r pics and beautiful ones even the splashes u really look like u had a great time. Thanks for sharing.
OK see everyone later and I hope everyone has a decent day.
-
This is so funny!
-
BTW Chevy u assume cuz u think it's funny it will be funny to others, well u'r assumption is right. So cute.
-
-
Ok Sas, just say where and when to re post that pic of us. Wanted to get a pic of you and Spookie last week, forgot.
Did you get the car swap taken care of?
-
ohh I love the tomatoes pictures I feel bad for your shoes lol
Sass I love the pictures idea, I am sure it will make her happy to see us all.
-
Good Morning,
Susan, photos of your tomato toss are fantastic. I googled it & found out that it is popular in Spain.
Blessings, feeling better? I hope you are healing & taking it easy.
-
for all off you.
-
welcome 3rd !!!!!! I have gotten some sleep relief ..thanks...my internist is working with me. Went off of all meds, except chemo of course, but I guess that is a treatment not a med, anyway, found out when I went off of my nighttime Ativan, the restless leg went away. With that gone, sleeping is easier...not great...but certainly better. The doc had me stay on Vicodin for the all over pain. Just take one a day. She said everything that is out there is addictive for fibro, and has side effects .....so since one Vicodin helps, and I have no side effects on it, that we will stay the course right now. The med that isn't addictive, screws with your body chemistry...that would not be good with reading the blood draws. Hope u stick around, these ladies r great !!!!! I am pretty new here too...and they are nice to the newbies lol
Off to chemo today . We will see if I am changeling or testing...neck is killing me today. Just got rid of a migraine from it.
Yes the tomato throw was a blast....didn't know that earlier that day in a suburb they had the running with the bulls !!!!!!!!!! How could I have missed that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wouldn't that have been the coolest ever ???
-
Cami - you have turned into quite a whitty person - owl of you ladies. Hoot Hoot.
3TN - Stephanie - I'll be the 1st to shorten it. Welcome to this thread. Remember you from Middle-Aged Women.
Sassy - I think what you envision is kinda what happens on Middle-Aged Women. We've given an "alien" party when the thread founder had a DaVinci excision. It was a hoot for her and I had a blast looking for alien party pics. Not that I'm suggesting that but there is so much stuff out there. I only learned when posting on BCO how to get images of things, ideas. Before it was hit or miss if I found what I wanted. Anything to make Fierce's day better.
Susan - are there lots of spare tomatoes in Illinois? I read this on the recipe thread. It is common in the NE to have a spare stove in the basement to cook down marinara sauce. Could the spare tomatoes be related to the Italian heritage in Illinois also?
Well now we're under flash flood watch starting in the morning. Must admit that's what it's going to take to fill up the lakes. I -ha ha- found a turkey breast buried in the freezer. I think with our low 80s I'm going to get that outta there. DD is coming Sat. and I'm sure she'd take some off our hands.
-
I'll wait for a bit to get more feedback, but it seems like a very workable thingy.
Spookie, Car thing--yes Toyota Seinna. 2014 . The most expensive car seat ever. The drive home didn't cause any of the problems that the drive there did. Re: pics. The pic you took of Philly, you, and I were the only pics we got when she was here.
Paws how much did it cosT? Poor accuracy now , but it's a beginning.
-
sasssssss, sory I didn't respond to your idea..absolutely fabulous !!!!!!!!!! You r the best
you have to get a picture of yourself with some sort of " leader" hat...you r our great and powerful leader...lol
Luvmygoats, I don't think there is an abundance of tomatoes. It's a Spanish tradition...not sure why. Chicago takes the money and donates it, or buys food, and donate the food. So it is a charity event
