Just flown in owlettes having been away for a few days and having limited internet and now feeling sad.
Dear sweet Mary, another one gone.
-
am so sorry to hear about Mary, she was so sweet to me when I first found BCO
-
I know that some of you here have lost a friend. Sending you all my love.
There is really nothing to say.. but I know that you all made her life better.Much love always.
-
Mary made our life better, too.
-
Love to all of you that lost a friend in Mary.
-
up watching 'African Queen' I love me some Bogie.
-
Oh Aly all of us that knew her feel the same way. To me so fast too. We'll deeply miss her.
Now Nicky used to come here too I think and we haven't hear from her for a long time.
-
Morning gals... I was so happy, reading what you guys were talking about, not that I underSTOOD but 1/2 of it, then I read where Mary is an angel! Geez, that is just so heart-breaking! I posted her a little picture yesterday on her thread... I just kind of knew it was all out of anyone's hands now... So HE took over, and helped her out of that pain ..... sorry.... We'll miss you Mary...
Hi Badger! Okay, okay.... I think I got it... I had just never heard of EGRP... and although I could have made up my own definition of that, I was better off to let someone else 'splain it to me! Bet Cammi didn't know it either.
And GGH... THIS is a slug... It is just a bugger of a slimy little thing, that eats anything it gets it's hands on... Oh wait, I don't think it has hands.... I might have put a stop to their roaming freely in my garden, when I started putting coffee-grounds in my soil! Evidently they are not coffee drinkers... And they love beer so much, that they climb in the little containers of beer, and drown themselves to death!
But sprinkling them with salt is another sure way to hasten their demise.
No! I had fish tanks... and I fed them to some of my larger fish! I even raised Angel fish, and Betta's... Got rid of all that years ago!
Dutchess.... I LOVE Kali! Cats are just so loveable! When I went over to DD's yesterday, before we went to a bridal shower, HER cat Trini, and "friend" were sound asleep in their respective little "houses"...Ha!
And that cartoon! Was that for me? You were put up to that by CAMMI! Right? I hear they lay eggs for maybe 5 years, and then they are sent out to pasture.... which in THIS case, a pasture is no-where around, but they had better KEEP them, or I will make sure they know that anything else is unacceptable.
And thanks...! Yes, the ER SHOULD have suspected a broken hip, but didn't follow up on it... until AFTER the X-ray & Cat-scan came back.
At least they transferred me from bed to table, by that sheet method...
I'm sorry that you still have PAIN!
Sassy, I know! I don't know WHY SOMEone didn't say something, especially the Doc on call! The 2 little nurse gals were younger than my Grand-kids... But SOMEone really dropped the ball.... Hell, even I knew my hip was broken, because of the 'PAIN' .... But it was like I was in someone's twilight zone, and just doing what they said!
I'll know better, if it ever happens aGAIN! Damnit! Glad I survived the ER anyway! Thanks for re-assuring me, that I was not wrong, in assuming they knew what they were doing... At least they didn't bring a pole in, and tell me "okay, jump on this, and see if you can still do it!"
Sass! You kept track of "Bucky!" I'm so impressed! Your mind must be a truck-load of information! I don't know how you remember so much. Neither does Cammi!
Lilgoats... I loved reading about your buddies! Even though I don't know a thing about goats, I love all animals, and you taking care of them must be fun!
Cammi... You are not alone little grass-hopper.... It all gets IN my brain, but sometimes it isn't sorted out correctly! I can remember phone numbers from when I was a teenager.... addresses also....
Maybe I am a border-line genius.... like you! Just that we keep it hidden so well... We only remember what we think is somewhat important... right?
And Gumby is back from Hawaii!!!! You are going down the Colorado? That is supposed to be spectacular!!!
Morning Kite! So Sass, did you finally pay attention to DBF? And what is "staright".... It that something I should know? You're damn RIGHT it's all 'code!'
See Cammi! She IS trying to confuse us, or add to our misinterpretations of whatever she is talking about! We DO need the FBI and the CIA! THEY will straighten her out! They won't know either! Okay.... we'll just ride it out.... and pretend we know something.
Are they talking about the Colorado River, or POT!!! WTH? Sassy just made that up... So it's called THAT now?
Maybe she and Willie are in cahoots together now? Just which one is corrupting who, here? And then she's talking about her dogs...
See? Is it any wonder we are confused? And THEN she says DBF is "very happpy"..... Okay, I'll take it from here! THAT means they played Hop on Pop....! She thinks they can put one over on us!
Nettie.... don't even TRY to understand... You said you were on the "down-low".... you got that from TV, right? But I like it anyway! Hope you feel better today...
Oh! So PhylliwiththeRotarystuff is now with us! YOU, I said YOU are having a psych evaluation? Maybe we could ALL get one of those? It sounds highly probable and necessary for the rest of us? I'm not laughing..... hahahahahhah! and HA! YOU have to have one for WHAT again? Will they just connect you up using that ankle monitor?
No, 2222222222nd! I DID change it back! But YOU are the only one that noticed.... Ha, ha! These girls around here just don't pay attention!
Hi Lilshit! I LOVE how you speak in "code" .... Except I don't understand YOU either.... It hurts my eyes and brain, because they are contradicting each other!
-
Garden Gumpy, the hike is 11- 12 miles, depending on if you are camping, staying in a cabin, hopping on a boat. It is down hill all the way, but not really easy.
I would love to go 1/3 the way down, and then hike back up. Or maybe 1/4. The hike back up would be challenging. It's so hot..
They have mules, which I thought would be terrifying. Seeing it, made it look more doable. There are lots of options to see and spend time on Colorado River and see the Grand Canyon. BIL & SIL went to that glass lookout on the Indian reservation, that's out of the way & seems spendy. They said it was amazing.
-
hard to do sometimes.....
-
For TEKA, because you are so sweet about always bringing us coffee and making us laugh. Feel better.
Chevy .....
"Morning Wren and Tang! Pawprint! Okay, if we have a pet snake, we will keep her in a cage.."
No, Chevy. NO SNAKES. No roaming slithering snakes, no pet snakes, no stuffed snakes, no snakes in a cage, NO SNAKES IN THE DOGHOUSE. But at the partay, you can do everybody's hair.
-
OK Chevy I understand Hole better, she's talking about the Grand Canyon I was there once amazing but scared chitless, I went with my ex and I thought oh he could think of a good way to get me to fall into it. So I couldn't enjoy it. Chevy u'r borderline, but it's not genius, but I think we all know that by now. But don't feel bad most of us are.--- I had to change purses. to get rid of chit that I carry around--I always keep my lists of meds and med stuff, then crap. I never read them myself but I did today to get rid of things, my Card. wrote I had an aneurism and some aorta thing, see this is why I don't read my reports really, I know mentally it's all right but emotional I don't like those words. Well that got thrown out with another paper I didn't like the words. it's in the computer so that's good enough--See Chevy that's the mind of a genius, picking and choosing what u want to know--and I know NOTHING. AND I can block them out completely.
It's rainy today and that's fine with me oh I still smell like Vanilla pudding, I got hungry and licked some off, but for the most part it's still there.
Another thing, I ffinally ordered a cane,, it's decorated with red, white and blue, but I have to get a stamp which will probably take forever. I know it's time and for some reason, --don't know why--I'm fighting it. It's really mostly for a step or 2 if I come across it, it's not my knees, it's my whole body I just fall over, of course I can be rolled the rest of the way, but I prefer not to be. So maybe this will help.?????? I was thinking about a folding cane, but I figured it would fold while I was using it.
My job so far is quiet today and it's Monday so we'll see how the rest of the day goes. OK I've moaned enuff so I'll be back when I choose.
-
Cammi! WHAT the HELL are you talking about ???? Okay, I got the cane part.... But what do you mean a "stamp???" You mean a .... oh, forget it, I can't even begin to decipher THAT one! I don't have a "stamp".... not with my cane.... But put your name and phone number on it.... that's so if some guy finds it, he can call you and take you on a date! That's always been my hope anyway.... Borderline? Borderline WHAT? Youi are a Lilshit, just like Lilshit!
And Lilshit! What's wrong with nice, smooth, cute little snakes? I suppose you don't like worms either? I'm bringing my pet snake anyway...... Okay, I'll do your hair.... but you will look like ME! Ha, ha!
-
Chevy,
Are you giving Vinnie lessons? Did he sprain something and that's why he is AWOL??
-
This is a pic of my friend I took to the body shop for a new hip. I pimped her ride for her while she was on the pain meds. It even had a cup holder and a non-breakable wine glass with a lid for traveling!!!
(shhh dont tell her I posted her pic!) Thought you girls would enjoy the decorations on the walker. I thought of Chevy the whole time I was being crafty!!
-
OK I give up--44444 with all the balloons ad frill I can barely see the pic--is that u?On u'r double poles?
-
That's not me Cami. I do have two pillars in my bedroom and my DH agreed to replace them with brass poles though. That was an easy remodel argument! Wonder why??
-
morning 4sew..you sound good...when you start trash talking we know you are feeling better...
Cami, you want to be a zorber, or be in a zorb ball, lil Joey can just roll you around. Have ya seen those? You are in a bubble ball? I am trying to post an pic, but my skills with the posting photos or images seem to come & go...this is not CODE talk....you really could be a bubble girl...lol...
-
-
thx 4...
We could get one, take it to "our" dog house, Chevy could update our hairdo, so we all look like Chevy, and take turns rolling around in Camis new toy.
Then give it to Joey... Buy Cami a real stable cane, but Camster you could use the Zorb on special occasions. When you want to make a dramatic entrance...
-
I'm thinking Cami and Chevy each need their own!!
-
But then they ae going to think they reallly do walk on water.......
Off to shower and get to work. Don't think I will smell like vanilla pudding when I am done though!
-
Blessings for our Mary and her family, Frank is her husband, Rachel is her daughter, and Jordan was her GS that she wrote about all the time. I've forgotten her son's name. One of the happy memories of Mary was how she wrote about DS's wedding and all the planning. The wedding was on a farm and the barn was the reception area. It was a hoot reading Mary's descriptions of everything from the engagement on till after the wedding. L&P's Mary and Thanks, sassy

Chevy the colorado thing was a made up word LOL, but it works
Staright---straight-----sorry, I know ziggy doesn't believe I proof read. But OH well. It's hard being a two finger typer that has to look at the keys. Sometimes one finger get's ahead of the other finger. Then in proofing, I miss things. I suppose since I do use medical words it does make it hard LOL b/c you are trying to figure out is it a typo or a word........Yes that is a real problem.
Chevy that's exactly why I do so much teaching here, to help you and everyone know what should be the right thing, so, you can PROTECT yourself from being harmed. Regretfully, to many errors are made.
RE:DBF now being a happy DBF---the way I wrote it was "Dini was now a very happy Dog and DBF is too" Literal translation could be DBF was now a very happy dog. That's why I added >That DBF is now a very happy DBF.
BUT your interpretation is correct, and so is DGF

Nettie sorry you aren't feeling well. But "down low" has taken on a new definition. It's slang meaning is "men that are living their lives as heterosexuals, but having homosexual sex. They would deny that they are homosexual or bisexual" as defined by IceT on Law and order SUV. This one has probably got you falling off your chair ROTFLOL.
Maddy, yes, glad we didn't have too send out the finding police. I was looking for your phone number yesterday and got distracted. I'm Glowing until July 25th 2014. The law requires that the patient be given a discharge card or letter that includes all the type of radiation thing that was used and the END date of glowing. Reason is I can set of radiation detectors until that date. Not likely as it get real close to that date, but you know laws.
The NRC guy described a situation in NY where an elderly(?, I didn't ask age) lady was discharged after her hospital stay. She took a bus. They entered a tunnel. She set off the alarm at the beginning of a tunnell. At the end of the tunnel when the bus exited, there were responders already there. They found her by using a gieger counter, pulled her off the bus and interrogated her. Can you imagine? Wonder she didn't have a heart attack. But she had her letter with her, but at first she forgot about it.
-
Okay, crazy ladies just got to this page catching up. Everyone's rolling in balls. GolfGirl sounds she is doing colorado as well as the Grand Canyon. Ziggy is doing a Dr Zuess--quite goodly too
Cami's in the pudding, no she's smelling like pudding. RotaryPhilly is here YAY. $$$4444$$$$$$ is a hoot, what a nice thing you did for your friend
-
Should it really take 3 hours for me to figure out that the audio book that I ordered just flat won't work for me? I suck! But other than that, I'm great!
I love Chevy and Cammi inside the rubber balls. Insulated from the world but still able to wreak havoc along the way. And just imagine a giant jacks game!
P
-
Yes a giant jacks game like the giant chess game. Is that in Alice in Wonderland? Just be careful not to roll yourself over a cliff.
OK tired of summer weather. I like my curtains open but having to hibernate from the west sun the 1st week of May is the pits. But I hate high elec. bills worse.
Sassy - I remember the barn wedding discussion. What boots could/would Mary wear? I believe it turned out lovely after all. Did we see pictures or was that somebody else's wedding?
-
OK I totally stole this from Elimar's Middle Aged Women page.
Happy Cinco De Mayo!
-
littlegoats, can't remember if Mary had pics. ChrissyB's daughter got married close to the time and she had oddles of pics. Same type of wedding on a farm. One in the USA, one in Australia. Mary ended up having a wonderful time
This is a link to a thread that NICKY from France started, but she hasn't been on since she started the thread March 12th 2014. Many from here have posted, but in case someone missed it
